Chapter 2: System Functions
I walked through the forest for a few minutes before I decided to explore the System's functions. "System" I called out, and the system answered with a female voice [I am here host, and you don't have to talk out as I'm binded to your soul, you know] I was shocked as the system didn't have a female voice before, let alone talk like this. So I asked 'Why do you have a female voice now and why are you talking differently?'
The answer I got stunned me [The reason I have a female voice is because I am a female and I got bound to your soul to be the System's speaker] I continued to question it-no, her ' So you're trying to tell me you were alive before this?' I got a positive answer from her [Yes host, I was alive before I got bound to your soul along with the System]
The first thing I said after calming down a little is 'Stop calling me host, call me Rin. It feels weird to be called host.' She immediately replied [Okay, Rin] Next I asked 'If you were alive before this, then what was your name?' She seemed to go into thought as she didn't answer for a bit [I don't know, I don't remember anything. I only know that I was alive before this.] Hearing this, I decided to give her a name 'Since you don't remember your name then I'll give you a new one. How about Rose?' [Rose... Rose... Rose...] she repeated until finally [Thank you Rin, I love it] she stated happily.
I smiled 'It's my pleasure.' then I hear a ding go off. Rose said [Rin, a hidden mission has been completed] When I heard her say that, I asked 'How do I access the missions?' Rose answered [Just think the word Mission, and it will appear] So I thought 'Mission' and a screen appeared in my mind. The word Mission was written on it at the top and there were 3 tabs. Main Mission, Sub Missions, and Hidden Missions.
As I looked at the screen I saw there was a hidden mission completed. I immediately thought of opening the tab and it did. The mission description was there.
The screen said:
[Hidden Mission Completed. Give the System's speaker a name. Accept rewards Y N] I thought 'Yes' and the screen changed. [Rewards for Hidden Mission have been given] Another screen popped up showing more words.

[This skill allows the user to learn anything at a faster speed. The speed at learning things is 20x faster than normal. This skill also helps learn other skills faster]
As I saw what the skill was I cried out in shock and excitement. I knew that this skill is extremely valuable especially knowing how I am weak for now. I asked Rose 'How do I look at my status and skills' Rose said [Just think the word Status to see your status and skills] So I did 'Status' a screen appeared with my stats on it.

I looked over my status and asked Rose 'What's the BP for the average human?' to which she answered [The BP of an average human is 5. You are 4 times stronger than the average human in this world. Also, the power ranking system changes depending on what world you are in like how it's BP in this world. An example would be, in the Naruto world you will be rated in your strength as the ninja ranking system like Genin all the way to Kage. In the Bleach world it would be the soul reaper ranking system. If you can not be rated by the power system in the world, then you will see your ranking as a character that has the same power as you]
'That's pretty neat. I will always know who I compare to no matter what world I'm in' I thought. I asked Rose 'What are the other functions in the System?' to which she gave me an explanation on them [The other functions in the System are the Inventory, the Shop, and the Gacha. The Inventory has an infinite amount of space and can store anything that isn't living. It also stops time so food will remain fresh. The Shop is a place where you can buy anything. This includes items, skills, abilities, weapons, and even pets. The Shop requires System Points, SP for short to buy things. The Gacha is a lottery based function that all depends on luck. The only thing different to the lottery is that you can specify what type of item you want. There are 5 tabs to get rewards from. The tabs are as such: Skills, Weapons, Items, Pets, Random. The Skills section allows you to get techniques and skills that belong to other people. There is a small chance of getting an ability out of this gacha. The Weapons section is pretty self-explanatory. You get weapons from swords to bows in this section. The Items section can give you anything from heavenly pills to rocks. The Pets section allows you to get a pet that will be your companion on this journey. You can get goblins, slimes, vampires, and you can also get specific pets, like Agumon all the way to The Dragon Great Red. The Random section is a combination of all the sections in the gacha except the pets gacha. The rates for the rare rewards are still the same as the other gachas.]
I sat there for a while to let the Information sink in. After sitting for a bit, I thanked Rose for the explanation 'Thank you for explaining all the functions of the System to me Rose' She said with a happy voice [It's my pleasure to do it Rin] I smiled then went to open my inventory 'Inventory'. A screen filled with an unlimited amount of slots appeared and I focused on the first slots. I saw two items in the inventory. One was an item labeled "Starter Package" and the other item was an item labeled "Rare Gacha Ticket".
I asked Rose 'Hey Rose, can you tell me the rankings that the System uses to describe items?' Rose immediately explained [The rankings from worst to best go like this: Common, Uncommon, Unique, Rare, Super Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, Ancient. There are higher ranks but you will unlock them when you get stronger. The gacha ticket you have is a free gift from the System to show you how the gacha works. A Rare or higher rank reward is guaranteed from this gacha]
After hearing this I decided to use the Rare gacha ticket first to test my luck. I went into the lottery and started thinking on what I should use it on. After thinking for a while, I decided to use it on the weapon tab as I can probably hunt a few beasts in this forest because I have 4 times the strength of an average human here. I just need a weapon to hunt with.I used the ticket on the weapon gacha and a ball machine appeared in front of me with the ticket. I ripped up the ticket then a ball fell out.
The System sounded out [Congratulations for getting a Super Rare weapon] I looked to see what I got and found out it was a katana. I inspected it and looked at the description of it

This Katana was forged in the fires from the deepest part of Hell. This Katana has extreme affinity with fire and destruction element. This weapon can be evolved by letting it absorb higher ranked fire]
'This weapon is awesome' I thought as I brought it out of my inventory. The weapon had a hilt that was as black as night and a blade that was blood red. There were a few black runes that were engraved on the blade. The katana felt weird in my hand as this is my first time holding one. I swung it once and put it back. Then I thought 'It's time to open up the starter pack'

dFuZeJoker Sorry for the cliffhanger it's late where I live and I need to sleep. Please comment any mistakes and some of your ideas that you would think would be cool to add to the story. I decided to change the quest function into the mission function.
