Kori wakes up in what seems to be an alleyway. He was rubbing his head, as if he fell on it.
[Kori: Where am I?]
Kori got up to find a hint on his location. After leaving the alleyway, he found himself staring at an active Mediterranean old looking city. Some citizens he saw, could not even be considered human. He swiftly thought of all the isekai novels he has been reading, and compared it to the same situation. It seemed to surreal to him. The modern day school uniform he was wearing, and the weak frail body of a teenager shut in stood out.
[Kori: You can definitely tell I don't belong here, that's for sure.]
Kori walked out of the ally into the city bit by bit, and noticed the increase noise of the crowd. The light reaching out for his face illuminating his eyes. If RPGs were real, this would be it, he thought.
[Kori: I am hungry....]
Kori walked in search for food. Then it struck him, that he has been here before. He thought about a dream with a similar setting. All of a sudden, he also started to remember his sister and serene; who he saw burn in front of him. He fell to his knees and started to cry. [damn it, why?] he said.
[???: Hey, what are you doing in the middle of the street like that? Are you ok?]
Kori lifted his head to see a girl with blonde hair. "Have I seen her before?" Kori thought. Kori lifted up to his feet.
[Kori: Yeah, thank you.]
They ended up going to a bar near by.
[Serene: Hello, my name is Serene Alexander, how about you?]
A name that Kori thought he would never hear again. He was really shocked, too shocked.
[Kori: Wait, Serene you said!?]
[Serene: Uh yeah.. That's me.]
It seemed that she didnt know anything of Kori so he calmed down.
[Kori: I'm sorry, my name is Kori Takashi!]
[Serene: Takashi, huh.]
[Kori: you can just call me Kori, I dont like my family name.] Kori looked down and grunted.
[Serene: ok that's fine, just call me Serene then.]
Alexander was the same last name as the Serene Kori knew. But, theres something different about this Serene all together.
[Kori: Hey Serene, do you know where I am?]
[Serene: Yeah, you're in the kingdom on Lazier.]
[Kori: Lazier?]
Kori has one goal, and that is to save his sister and to go back home. "But, how am I going to do that when I have no idea where I am? Wait.."
[Kori: Hey Serene, do you know, what the chosen night is?]
[Serene: I've heard in legends, that it was a powerful warrior who brought darkness to the world. Before being sealed away.]
[Kori: Really?]
Kori couldn't remember why, but he remembers hearing that name.
[Serene: Kori, if you are interested; I can take you to become a warrior. You would have to have some sort of power or ability though. I am a warrior myself.]
[Kori: What exactly are warriors?]
[Serene: Warriors are people who want to go on quest to protect the kingdom, or to just earn money. It can be boring at times, but its ultimately a contest to choose the new king.]
[Kori: The king is chosen by this warrior system, and not by bloodline?]
[Serene: Well, once you become an elite noble warrior you have the ability to fight the king for the position otherwise it is passed on to their offspring.]
[Kori: That must be a heavy burden for the children of the king.]
Serene sighs in agreement [Yeah, it is.]
[Serene: Well then Kori, I'll pay for a hotel for you. We will go to the headquarters tomorrow.]
[Kori: I couldn't possibly make you pay!]
[Serene: oh, do you have money yourself?]
Kori looks down in disappointment [No, sadly I dont]
Kori in his bed was thinking about how all the current events are a lot of stress.
[Kori: tomorrow, I will be closer to the truth.]
Kori closes his eyes, and opens them in a black void surrounded by purple flames.
[Kori: Why, why must I suffer more?]
