Madd started to slowly wake up only to be greeted by the sight of his room looking completely normal with no scratch marks and the bright blue moon hung high in the sky.
'Was that really all a dream?'
Madd got up out of bed and peeked through his door to see his mother once again sitting in her chair and his father passed out on the couch with no blood or flesh around him.
*ccrrreeaaakkk*
Madd heard a sound from the side of the room and looked toward it. He saw that his closet door was now slightly opened.
*BUMP BUMP*
He heard his heart beat loudly in his ears and he felt it all over his body. 'Why did it have to be now when that thing starts to be creepy?!!' Madd just kept standing where he was, looking at his closet door.
Madd made up the courage to go and check what did that. He was worried about it being anything but weird because everything he just saw earlier felt and looked to real to be a dream....right?
He slowly made his way over to the door and went to open the already ajar door. But as soon as his hands almost touched the door he heard the sound of someone walking through the glasses coming from the den just like previously. 'Shit I need to check on that!' He knew that he shouldn't forget about the door right in front of him but his mom was more important right now.
He turned around and went back to his room door to see what was going on. Only that when he looked out nothing had changed and everything looked to be the same. He went outside just to make sure that he wasn't crazy but as soon as he stepped out his vision started to fade once again.
Madd once again woke up in his bed. This time he was back to the first time or it at least looked like it. He saw the scratches on his ceiling and he looked out to sees the puddle of blood around the couch and his mother was missing again. 'What the hell is happening to me?!' Madd started to panic and he looked over at his closet door. He noticed that there are some extra scratch marks near the door handle. It looked as if many things were clawing at the closet.
'Was it that thing from earlier! But that doesn't make sense because it's arms where on the ground so I would at least see something on the floor right?' When he looked down to his floor he saw nothing out of the ordinary. 'Should I just go look in the closet this time?'
Madd made up his mind and started to make his way over to the closet door. He noticed that it was closed this time and he went to turn the knob once again. He failed to notice the new mark on the ceiling going from his door to the closet.
*CRASH*
He heard a very loud noise coming from the den. But this time he decided to ignore it and just opened the closet door. The door was a lot heavier than he initially thought so he used a lot of his strength to pull it open. Keep in mind that he was extremely malnourished and was very weak, even for a child.
He finally managed to open the closet door but he saw nothing out of the ordinary. Right before he turned around he felt something push his back and he fell onto the floor in the closet. The door got slammed behind him and it was suddenly pitch black.
*BUMP BUMP*
'What the hell just pushed me and why did they?' Madd started to panic trying to figure what was going on. He tried to look around the closet but it was extremely hard to see, as if every particle of light had been removed. He looked up and saw that it looked a little bit darker up there than anywhere else. It was too weird that this extreme darkness could get even darker. He tried to get a closer look by standing back up onto his feet.
*BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP*
Madd's heart started to beat extremely fast. He saw what appeared to be a very twisted and long body that was trying to squeeze itself to fit under the ceiling of this closet. While Madd was looking at it he saw that thing moving. It looked like that things head and it quickly turned to look Madd directly in his eyes. The creatures eyes looked to be both bright and dark and seemed to have an unending depth to them. Madd started to get pulled into them and the head of the thing started to move closer to Madd. But at the last second Madd woke back up and went as fast as he could to the door. Thankfully the door was unlocked so he could easily get away. He slammed the door behind him and put his back against it to make sure that that "thing" doesn't get out.
'I probably would have ended up like dad if I didn't move just now!' Sweat started to form on his forehead and his breathing became erratic. 'I need to find mom as soon as possible!!' Because of the thought of his mom being in danger he quickly ran to the den. Even if it meant that thing had a chance of getting out.
He only saw his dead father and everywhere else was empty, too empty. Even all the furniture disappeared.
*drip*
Madd felt something hit him on his shoulder. It felt like a water droplet coming from the ceiling so he looked up to see what it was. When he looked up he could see that all of the furniture was on the ceiling appearing to be attracted by something. It looked like a giant magnet was pulling everything in the room to the ceiling. He also noticed that there were scratch marks everywhere on the ceiling. He started to panic but he also wondered why his father and his father's couch aren't up there as well.
While he was thinking about that he noticed something move out of the corner of his eyes. It looked like it went into his room. Madd got the courage to go back to his room once again to see what it was.
When he got inside the room the only thing that he noticed was different was that his closet door was now opened a little even though he just closed it. Since he had already done this plenty of times today (he was also counting the times where he just stood in front of the door) he decided to just see what it was.
