Chapter 3: Saber-Tooth Cat
He got off of the cub but his hunger only grew more after he fought. He couldn't didn't want to eat any of the little foxes, and turned to the lifeless cub. There was nothing he could do about his first (unofficial) pack dieing. Then, Toshi began biting into the bear cubs stomache while eating it.
He was covered in blood and by instinct licked the patches of fur that got colored with red. It took a while to completely clean himself, but it worked and he was ready to set off. Taking one more look at the dead foxes before turning hus head and walking away.
Toshi traveled around the tundra and arctic snow, while mostly eating fish that the fox taught him to catch. It was noticeable that his originally grey fur slowly started turning white and he grew much larger than before. The once small teeth started getting sharper and two top teeth grew longer than the rest. His height was probably around the size of grown adult polar bear.
'The winds getting stronger and the air is getting colder. A storm might be coming.' The harsh winds were getting stirred and Toshi could guess what was going to happen.
He traveled in search of a cave to stay in, before he caught a scent that lingered in the air. It was one he hadn't felt before. From the scent, it told him something called a 'Mammoth' and a large area had the scent. He couldn't get anything more from the scent, and decided to follow it.
The smell got stronger and the crunching sound of snow became louder. Then he could even hear the fierce clashing sound of some sort of fight. Toshi got lower to the ground and peeked over a small mound of snow.
'What is that?' Massive creatures covered in long brown fur were in a herd of around twenty five of them. Two of those creatures were were running head on at eachother stabbing parts of their face with large curled tusks. It was looked like a pretty daring fight from his observation.
The two larger mammoths clashed their tusks at one another while the rest of the female mammoths stood by and watched. Toshi also wanted to watch the battle progress. He knew taking down the massive creature wasn't going to be possible however knowledge about the mammoths wouldn't be bad.
The mammoth with the larger body started pushing back the other mammoth. It looked like it was just a mindless fight of headbutting eachother, but after the smaller Mammoth was getting closer to think ice that covered a deep pool of water. A few more steps back and the ice cracked and shattered to pieces while the small Mammoth sunk into the water. The large bodies weren't for swimming as the Mammoth could only flail before drowning.
That large Mammoth turned back and headed into the herd of other Mammoth and they began marching in some direction. It wouldn't be a bad idea to follow the herd if he didn't get caught or killed by them. Toshi got up and trailed behind them for days on end.
He was only eating a few fish a day because the mammoths traveled farther and farther away from the ocean as the days past. He was even considering killing the baby mammoths that wander off.
'Where are these mammoth even going. I haven't seen them eat in days.' Right after he though that, the entire herd halted in their tracks and rushed in another direction.
'What's this?' The herd moved away and what showed was a baby mammoth dead on the ground, while being eaten by a saber-tooth cat. The cat was large and didn't seem to mind the other mammoth walking away and was content with the young mammoth.
The large fangs were similar, but longer, than Toshi's and was a bit intimidating. However, once the smell of fresh blood floated over to his nose, it was almost irresistible. Toshi crept closer to the saber-tooth while crouching in the snow, taking advantage of his pure white coat.
He had eventually came within a few feet behind the big cat. It didn't seem to sense him as it was stuffing it's mouth with the mammoth. Then, Toshi sprinted and pounced onto the cat withing three seconds.
His jaw locked onto the cats shoulder and his two longer teeth sunk between the shoulder bone of the cat. The saber-tooth let out a roar of pain and stretched it's head to bite into Toshi's arm.
'That hurts like hell!' The entire jaw hadn't bit into his arm, however one of its largest fangs pierced his arms.
Both of them felt immense pain and we're bleeding. Toshi had bit harder on the shoulder and the saber-tooth let out another roar of pain followed by a cracking noise. The shoulder bone was cracking under the pressure of Toshi's bit force.
However, the saber-tooth had a way to retaliate, by shaking it's head while the tooth was still jabbed into his front arm. It made the blood flow even more as both were already in a struggle surrounded by a pool of their own blood.
The pain kept increasing as time went by slowly with nothing happening from the opposing animal.

Toshi was surprised at the sudden crisp sound of snapping, but the saber-tooth was furious. The large tooth that lodged into his leg had snapped off of the cats gums and blood flowed out like a waterfall. With its head freed, the angry saber-tooth swung the large paw and grabbed onto Toshi's back.
'This damned cat!' The claws that protruded from the paws were sharply digging into his skin.
Despite that, he couldn't let go, since he would probably lose an advantage over the saber-tooth. In return to the claws, he dug his own claws into the side of the cat. Once again, both were stuck in place.
Then, just like the saber-tooth had done, Toshi violently shook him head while still holding onto the already broken shoulder. In response to that, the saber-tooth roared in pain.
