Chapter 10: Outside
Lang snuck up behind him a got prepared to jump scare him. '1, 2, 3!'
"GGGRRRAAAAOOORRRR!!!!!!!" Instead of yelling out some random words she ended up growling and roaring instead.
"UWAAAH!!!!"
Even a newborn pup made a normal scream! She just couldn't get it right! Anyways, she did scare the little brat enough that he slammed the book closed. Lang was a little confused after she thought about it. 'A newborn pup can't read?'
She didn't think it was possible to read a book when she was a newborn pup, let alone this antisocial pup! Fortunately, she learned how to read and write in the months the pups were being created.
It was only two days she would have to endure the staring from the little brat! Lang slightly hoped he would die on he second day! 'Huh-?' She never bothered to ask, but, she didn't know exactly why two days of nothing happened after being awoken.
Lang wasn't busy anyway, she was never busy, and went out of her cell and went to go ask a guard. Just like always, the guards were hanging out at the front playing cards. "Hey~!"
"Hmm? Lang?" Lang already got recognized by that name instead of "The Devil's child" over the months and almost everyone knew her name. That's to say, Lang was close to almost everyone that works at the place.
"I wanted to ask you, what the hell's up with waiting two days after being awakened?" She pulled off a long sentence!
"Oh... you'd better ask the boss, we aren't sure either." How could the guard not even be sure? Well, Lang thought it was a good chance to be better friends with the boss. She happily walked to his office in her red skirt and black hoodie.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
"Come in." Lang opened the door and the boss was sitting at the usual spot doing paperwork. She got closer to ask him the question.
"I wanted to ask a question." It felt a little strange to ask a question from the boss instead of a guard or researcher, but, she had to ask!
"Why is there two days before fight?" The boss looked up at her for a moment before burying his head in paperwork again. 'He's not going to answer...?'
"To train and arrange." So he did answer. Although his answer was short and not very helpful. Despite that, Lang could guess the meaning and she didn't need to ask any further questions.
She walked out the door with a few answers but they weren't specific or complete. Lang would just have to make due with those guesses until she really knew it.

After the second day rolled around, the little brat was called in for a fight and Lang followed him. Of course for such a coincidence to happen she pulled a few strings. She made sure he would be picked for a fight similar to hers.
Lang followed him all the way to the gate of the arena. The brat was offered an injection, but just like Lang, he refused it. Deja Vu! Lang was there to witness it, but she really hoped he would win without the injection.
The gates opened and the cheering began. Lang pushed the little pup through the gate. He had a chain around his neck, when Lang had fought she was an exception. Since his win was uncertain the chain was still attached.
"You better come back alive little pup!" Lang was going to watch his fight from the crowd. She flipped up a custom black hoodie that had spaces at the top so her ears weren't squished. Under the sweater was around school uniform she got from somewhere.
She already made it into the arena seatings, but it was just way too crowded with fat rich people and woman they brought over. 'At least be mindful of others would ya!' She couldn't have said it out loud, so Lang could only rely on her eyes to be good enough and leaned on the wall.

"EVERYONE THE MATCH HAS STARTED!! THIS TIME, A LITTLE WOLF PUP HAD THE SAME NUMBER AL THE DEVILS CHILD!!! HOW WILL HE DO!????!!!??"
WOOOOOO!
The match statted, it was the same, the little brat didn't have any injections while the other person did. The match looked tricky for the little brag. The opponent looked stronger. They both bated fangs and we're ready to fight.
"GET READY!!! 3!!!2!!!1!!!"
ROOOAAAASWWRR!!!!!!
They both started off with a roar and charged forward. The moment they were in reach of each other, "Bear", tried to slash at his face. Fortunately, he reacted on time and he bit at Bears hand making his hand break.
Although, he only bit one hand and the other came out of nowhere and hit his stomache. the force was strong and flung him into a wall.
"GUAAH-!"
"UWAHH!!!! THAT'S GOTTA HURT!!!!! BEAR HAS ALREADY STARTED CHASING AFTER LITTLE KITTEN!!!! WHAT WHAT A ROUGH TIME FOR THE LITTLE GUY!!!!"
Bear ran towards him and he coughed up blood. He had a desperate look on his face as the incoming Bear was ready to kill. Holding in the pain, he sprinted and grabbed the chain from Bear. He pulled the chain and jumped.
"OHHHHHHH WHAT'S THIS???!! LITTLE KITTEN SEEMS TO BE UP TO SOMETHING!!!? WHAT ON EARTH COULD IT BE!!!???"
What he was going to do was obvious. Lang already guessed it. The little brat would wrap the chain around Bear and try to choke him. Almost seconds after the prediction, the little brat actually succeeded in wrapping the chain long enough.
"THE LITTLE KITTEN IS ACTUALLY USING THE CHAIN!!!!!!!!!! HOW CLEVER OF THE LITTLE KITTEN!!!!!"
Lang's ears twitched inside the hoodie. A sound? It was loud and heading to the restraunt. Before the, match was decided she had a bad feeling so, she walked and hid at a place nonvisible with an escape route. There was an exit inside a small closed off room.
Since her hearing was much better than others, she could hear everything that went on. Soon enough, there was loud sounds and screams from the arena. It seemed dangerous so Lang went out the emergency exit before she was in any danger.
Lang had never been outside so everything was new to her. She just stood outside the door in surprise. The restraunt was surrounded in grass and trees.
'What the....' Lang had never been interested in seeing the outside world, and only new things from learning the language.
"###############here-" People speaking got closer and had almost surrounded the building! Lang had no choice but to get down and run at full speed into a bush.
"krr--Nothing here." Two people came from the opposite sides of the building and met up at the emergency exit. They were holding guns like the guards, but they were much bigger!
