Chapter 17: Chapter 17: The first settlement
A few days later...
The orcs set to work to find the location of the undead. For security reasons, the orcs agreed to first search for the undead from region to region.
Indeed, the continent of Polioni is composed of three large regions. The first region is the north, the second region is the center and the third region is the south.
The Kingdom of Polon is located in the northern region. The orcs started to search for all the undead that are hidden in this region before implementing the plan they discussed with Leon.
So several weeks passed. During this time, the orcs who have rank 1 domains with nature power have finally finished mapping the location of all the undead in the northern region of the continent of Polioni.
However, the moment they finished mapping all the undead and implemented the plan, they realized that the undead are extremely numerous.
Indeed, it is difficult for the orcs to keep track of so many undead at the same time. The total number of undead that have been found is over 30 million. This number represents the undead in the northern part of the Polioni continent alone.
Leon and two other orcs who are there for his safety and to help him go to the location of the undead to solve the problem.
Three lights can be seen in a forest. Indeed, these three lights are Leon, Aude and Candice. They are going at more than 60 meters per second.
They are in a forest that is outside the borders of the Kingdom of Polon.
They are traveling on the backs of monsters that look like the same monsters that pulled their carts to church.
"Your majesty, we are almost to the first landmark on the map." Said Aude while looking at a device that is in her hands that shows a map with different landmarks on it.
"Mhm... very well, I am anxious that we can finish with these plagues that prevents our great race to be able to develop us." Leon answers with a glance towards the sky.
"Me too...". Candice answers with a low voice.
Some tens of minutes later ....
They arrive in front of a cave where they find a camp of orcs. These orcs are the ones who had the task to guard the undead in this place.
However, the moment the orcs see the three flashes arriving at their position, they all get into a fighting position and get ready for the worst.
"Calm down, it is our King and his escort who are coming, not just monsters." A voice comes from a tent in the middle of the camp.
The moment the other orcs hear this voice, they all become embarrassed for daring to raise their weapons in the direction of their King.
Leon and his group arrive a few seconds later at the site of the camp.
A person who is in the middle of the camp in the tent, comes out and welcomes Leon and his group.
This orc is a woman who is not the most beautiful that Leon has seen in his life, but she has a charm that few orcs have.
Her charm comes from the fact that this orc has many scars, but unlike most orcs who have scars that make them uglier. This one has scars that embellish her beauty.
"Hello your majesty, I am delighted that you honor us with your presence. She says while bending down and putting a knee on the ground as a sign of reverence to Leon.
The orc who speaks is the captain of the camp that has to watch over the undead in this area.
Indeed, there are thousands of such camps in the whole northern part of the continent. This is a never-ending task because the orcs have never had a viable solution for eliminating the undead. So even if they knew where the undead were, they couldn't contain them with this same device indefinitely because it would take away a large part of the Kingdom's work force.
Leon and his group dismount and let them rest, then he asks.
"What is the current status of the undead in the area?!"
"Please follow me to the main tent of the camp!" The captain of the camp asks Leon.
Leon and his group went in the direction of the captain's tent under the eyes of all the orcs present.
Once they arrived in the tent, the captain introduced himself to Leon.
"Your majesty, please forgive me for not introducing myself earlier. My name is Ursula Grunnhurd!"
"Nice to meet you Ursula!" Leon answers her with a smile and scans Ursula's time at the same time.
The moment he lays eyes on Ursula's body, Leon is a little surprised because her body is in the standards of the orcs. Ursula is an orc who is normal, she is not extremely beautiful or has any special talent.
"Candice du Lac."
"Aude du Clairval."
Candice and Aude briefly introduce themselves to Ursula.
Ursula has of course noticed Leon's gaze on her body but like all the orcs present Ursula is happy to be able to attract Leon's gaze on her body.
Ursula began to explain in detail the situation of the living dead to Leon, Aude and Candice.
"So to begin with, the power of the undead ranges from rank 4 to rank 6. Their numbers are quite important. They are a total of more than 10 000. They are also for the moment during the day very quiet as well as at night."
Leon nods then asks.
"So what is the number of orcs we have at our disposal and what is their rank in power?
"The number of orcs that are present in this camp is about 3,000. Their power is at least rank 5 and practically rank 6. My rank is rank 7 but I don't have a domain yet." Ursula answers him.
"Mhmmmm... This is complicated, I can't put all the undead in my domain at the same time because it's not big enough yet. So we'll have to find a way for the undead to be in small groups of about 50 so that I can act with my domain." Leon says.
"You're right, if we start killing them, they'll just come back to another part of the continent, so we must avoid killing them at all costs." Candice adds.
Ursula and Aude nodded their heads in agreement.
"We'll make teams of 25. They will go to the area where the living dead are and will try to disperse them as much as possible to have groups of about 50. "Said Leon.
The other orcs present nodded their heads in agreement with Leon's decision.
All the orcs present in the camp start to make teams of 25 to execute the order of their King.
After the teams are made, Leon decides that the plan will be implemented the next morning and that for today the orcs should try to rest.
Indeed, the undead become more aggressive at night, so it is not wise to carry out this dispersal plan at night.
