Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Sunset City

The awakening of the orcs who are in the camp is done gently. Indeed, the attack of the monsters of yesterday has strongly tired them mentally and physically in spite of the fact that Leon has healed them with his energy. This does not prevent mental fatigue from setting in because of the strong demand of concentration during the attack.
The orcs started to put away their tents and other belongings. After a few hours the group of Leon, the caravan and the mercenary orcs are ready to leave for the city.
"Onward!" Aude shouts for the other orcs to hear.
"Yes ma'am!" The other orcs answer her all at the same time.
The group that leaves the forest is composed of the caravan that is in the middle of the formation of mercenary orcs. Next to the group of mercenaries is Aude and Candice who are on the right and left flanks of the formation while riding their mounts. Leon's mount has been put in his personal domain.
Leon is in the caravan with Julie in his arms and Marianne who is next to him.
The caravan is pulled by a simple beast that can be found absolutely everywhere in the forest of the Polioni continent. It is a beast called "Ocria", it is a beast that looks like a mix between horse and jaguar. This beast is about 3 meters long and therefore not very big compared to the other beasts used as mounts.
The group moved forward at a fairly fast speed. In 2 hours, Leon's group has already covered 1/3 of the way they had to go today.
Still 2 hours later, Leon's group has now covered 2/3 of the way they had to go. Their journey has been done so far without any problems. No monsters have been seen on their way.
However, this lack of presence of monsters makes Leon's group suspicious. Indeed, just yesterday, the orcs encountered a monster attack of over 7,000 orcs. So it's absolutely strange not to see a single monster during more than half of their journey while they are in the same forest.
After 6 hours of their departure, Leon's group finally arrives at their destination. The city is located on the border of the kingdom of Polon. This makes this town a hub for the sale of monsters and exotic plants. There is also a small slave market in the city, but it is not as large and popular as other cities in the kingdom of Polon.
However, this city is rather large for the Kingdom of Polon. Indeed, this city contains about 100,000 inhabitants. But since it is a city that borders the forest and therefore the undead and other monsters, the orcs that are present in this city are rather strong.
Indeed, the orcs present have a power that is generally between rank 5 to 7. Many of them also have already developed a rank 1 domain. However, these people are very often part of the city's nobles. Rare are the orcs who have a rank 1 domain without being affiliated to a noble family of the city.
"It is sure that it is a good city. The nobles of Sunset City have done a good job with this city." Leon says out loud and it is heard by all the orcs in his group that are present.
While Leon enjoys the view of the city from the sunset, the orcs guarding the city gates are shocked to see that it is their King who is visiting their city which is not considered a very important city by the orcs.
"Quickly, pass the message to the matriarchs of the great noble families of the city! Our King is coming to the city! I repeat, our KING is coming to the city!" One of the guards present began to shout at the top of her lungs the moment she saw Leon and his group arrive at the city's main gate.
Since the city of the setting sun is a city where there are a lot of merchants, there is a queue in front of the big city gate.
The different orcs have to pay a tax to enter the city as in all the other cities of the kingdom of Polon. This tax is usually quite low but is an important revenue for the city.
So the moment the guard starts shouting that their God is coming to their city, all the orcs and merchants in line are shocked and try to find the location of their God.
However, while they are trying to find the location of their God, the orcs don't make a mess in the line because they don't want to look like simple savages in the eyes of their God and miss the chance to give their body and soul to their God.
"Ahahaha! I believe that your majesty has made the city a little chaotic!" Julie, who is in Leon's arms, says with a smile on her face.
"It is my destiny, everywhere I go all the orcs are destined to tremble!" Leon answers her with a smile.
The orcs nod their heads as they hear their God speak.
During their discussion, a group of orc riders arrive at their location and then dismount before kneeling on the ground and looking down.
"We have seen the divine King of all orcs in the kingdom of Polon!" The riders all shout at the same time.
Leon opens the door on the side of the caravan and steps out of the caravan while watching the orc riders in front of his group.
When Leon sees their actions he can't help but compliment them in his heart for their responsiveness.
"Very well! Get up and guide me to the residence of the city's mayor!" Leon tells them with a calm but authoritative tone.
The orcs carry out the order that Leon told them. They get up one by one, and they ride their mounts.
Their mounts represent a kind of cow but more aggressive. This mount is called "Vijia". This mount has dark green skin and two horns on both sides of the head. These Vijia are covered with an armor that is made of metal.
The riders that are on these Vijia are also covered with a complete armor made of the same metal.
This cavalry is a heavy cavalry made to counter the monsters and undead that were in the region before Leon's arrival.
Leon and his group are escorted by the heavy cavalry in the direction of the mayor's house.
