Chapter 20: Who was that

I swear I was not the type to be late. Despite my little problem of not being able to see, I was always on time, and I have to thank my alarm clock for that, and I have to thank technologies for creating such creation.

I don't think I would have been able to survive, and I wouldn't know how to live a good life. So it was the first time in my life, I didn't know what I was doing. Besides, I must blame a certain someone for that. The certain someone had been inside my mind, and it's driving me crazy.

So after eating breakfast for 52 seconds, yes I counted, I had a fast walk to the nearest bus station. Sadly, I couldn't run, not that I can't I just don't think it's a good idea.

"Excuse me what time is it?" I asked someone beside me, I was expecting an answer, but all I got was a scoff, well that's an excellent start to a new day, isn't it?

"Don't you have eyes to see?" the lady scolded as she begins to walk faster, I can only blink at her and sigh.

This is what I had to deal with almost every day. If I'm lucky, someone might even just walk pass through and not answer or even point out about my flaws.

It was better this way.

It's not something I could even complain about anymore, I had accepted it after a while, and it would have been weird if I was somehow 'normal'.

I do have eyes, I grumble under my breath trying to walk to the campus faster, as I was about to cross the streets, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I look to the right hoping to face the right direction.

"I'm sorry you had to deal with that, it's 7:19 a.m, do you perhaps need any help crossing?" I heard someone. Well at least some people are friendly enough to help, but again I didn't want to be a burden for anyone, so I bow down, hoping to get the right direction on where she stands. I couldn't help to smile thankfully but shake my head.

"thank you so much, but I didn't want to bother you, the campus is just right around the corner," I politely said and decline the offer. As the bustling streets were once again busy, I begin to walk a bit faster, avoiding any more conversation.

I was a bit running late today since I couldn't sleep because of a certain someone had pulled out a move.

I know I shouldn't be too happy since I bet a lot of people might find this experience something that 'they are used to', and they shouldn't be giddy about it, but I couldn't help it.

It was the first for me and hell I don't know how to act.

So I did what I think what other people will do when someone had occupied their minds at night.

They don't sleep.

I didn't get a proper shut-eye since I couldn't help to think about the event and start smiling all over again, I can't believe I'm acting like this.

As I heard the ringing sound of the bells, indicating the campus' bell was around the corner walk a bit faster since I have class. As I was walking suddenly, I bump into somebody, and I tumbled down.

I was waiting for the impact before I was caught by the waist. My hands were dragged to someplace, I couldn't hear any murmurs, so I sigh in relief since no one sees this, and a bit scared since I might be kidnapped.

My body was a slam to one of the pillars of the campus, and my heart started to beat fast, and I couldn't say anything, all the person did was entrap me in and I couldn't move at all.

The person's breath was up close to me as the person was not talking at all, it seems like a guy since the person looks like he was taller than I was, the way he grips my hands and all, it looks like he was rushed.

I was trying to be brave, and I didn't know if it was a good idea, "Can I help you?" This is surely something I'm not used too, I was always someone who was in the background, as much as I can I try not to look conspicuous, being blind is already big news. I don't think I need people to know more about me.

That includes minding my own business in the hope that people would not bat an eye and pray they wouldn't notice me. High school was pretty rough, and I had to thank Yura and Liz for sticking by my side or else I don't think I will know what I'll do.

After knowing we were going to move to the same university, I was a bit relieved to see my two best friends beside me, I wasn't so worried about it. But the new environment means I have to explain again, and questions will be asked. That's why I didn't bother making myself noticeable. Not to hang out with any girlfriends nor the guy friends.

So being entrapped in someone's arm and it was a guy, well I hope it is, was something I was not expecting today, I thought yesterday's fiasco was enough, it seems the world was playing games.

As I was waiting for an answer the bell rang again, great I'm late.

I try to shimmy my way out of it when my shoulders was slam again.

"What the hell are you –"

"You sure have a loud mouth, I didn't think you would be this noisy," That voice, I froze on spot, I was right it was a he, but he sounded like… Nicholas.

"Nic? Is that you? What you doing –"

"You're more stupid then you look," I look at him surprise. Now that just crush something inside of me as the person scoff he lets go and he went away as I was no longer trap in his arms.

Who was that?
