Chapter 3: Chapter 3
Ben taps Steve on the shoulder, and whispers "Meet me at Lunch for a talk".
Steve is shocked by this and turns around to see Ben smile at him.
Darrel notice Steve's eyes, and whispers "Yup, my prediction is coming true".
Darrel takes Steve's hand and leads him to Literature class.
"But, will I like it, when the day comes?" wondered Darrel.
The principal observed that moment, and says "That might not go so well".
By the principal is Mr. Cre, a man who has short pink hair, wearing a white work dress, and white heels, he tells him "Spying on the magic keeper's personal life, shame on you".
"I just wanted to make sure they are getting along", said the principal.
"Uhmmm… tell me Mr. Principal, do you ever realize Steve had a crush on you?" asked Mr. Cre.
The principal blushes, and says "Yes, during training".
"You better, have let him off gently!" Mr. Cre warned the principal.
Principal signs, and says "Actually, he confessed to me last year".
The principal gets a flashback of Steve and his umbrella in the air says "Principal, I love you".
"Huh?" asked the principal, acting surprised.
"You can stop acting, I know you knew", said Steve.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know to say", the principal apologized.
"No. It's okay, I've decided to give up on you, after all we're ten years apart of it would've never worked", Steve accepted with a sad tone in voice.
"Steve, are you sure your okay?" asked the principal, concerned.
"I'm fine, don't worry about me, after all it was just a crush and nothing more", said Steve, clenching his shirt, and walks away. "Goodbye".
"Steve!" called the principal, seeing him running away.
Steve meets up with Darrel and they walk away together under an umbrella.
The flashback ends.
"So you didn't go after him and let him crh his eyes out, what a darling", said Mr. Cre, sarcastically.
"Yup", answered the principal.
Mr. Cre slapped him in the face; and says "Why would you do that?"
"I was a fool", said the principal.
"Indeed", said Mr. Cre.
Mr. Cre walks away and says "Of course, he would do a foolish thing like that".
At Lunch, Ben takes Steve to an empty classroom, which is when Darrel passed by and Jake is by the window.
The principal stops Jake from making a fool of himself.
"Why did you want to meet me?" asked Steve, looking nervous.
"Don't you like vampires? I'm going to be living with you, you shouldn't be afraid", said Ben, revealing his vampire teeth.
"I'm not afraid, I'm just being cautious", Steve lied.
"Cautious? I guess that's normal not all vampires can be trusted", said Ben.
"Is this what you wanted to talk to me about?" asked Steve.
"No. I wanted to tell you something I found before I came here", said Ben, showing Steve a white paper with a red circle that has spikes and a snake behind it.
"It can't be that's the symbol of the guardians from Quacer", The principal and Jake recognized.
"The Quacer?" asked Ben, overhearing the principal and Jake.
Steve opens the window, and asks "What's the Quacer or what?"
"An ancient race that creates weapons, which kills all magical things", said Jake. "Vampire, where did you find that?"
"I have a name", said Ben. "and I found it from a human I fed off".
"I thought you were sheltered", Steve remembered.
"Sheltered or not vampires need human blood", said Ben.
Jake gets in-between Ben and Steve and says "No drinking blood from him".
"Me? I would never, he's too adorable", said Ben, and smiles.
Steve backs up.
"Oh well, I'll go tell the magic council about this discovery, so all of you stay here until lunch is over", said the principal.
"Understood", said Steve.
"I'll keep an eye on them", said Jake.
"Good, Ben please stay out of trouble", said the principal.
"Yes, sir", said Ben,
The principal jumps out of the window, and disappears.
"Steve, what did you love about the principal?" asked Ben.
"Why, you?" complained Jake.
"I'm just asking a question", said Ben, with his red eyes out. "Well, Steve?"
"I… At first, it was because of his looks, then I fell in love with his personality. I confessed my love for him after I gave up", Steve admitted, while he is in a trance.
"Since you gave up loving him, would you give me a chance?" Ben asks Steve.
"I warning you, vampire, I hypnotize him", Jake threatens Ben.
"Can't I get my answer first, griffin", said Ben.
"When he's normal", answered Jake.
"Fine", said Ben, then snapped his fingers.
"What just happened? Ben?" asked Steve, shaking his head.
"Sorry, I like toying with cute boys like you", Ben flatters Steve.
"Ben, please we need to stay focused", said Steve.
"I am, I want to be with you, Steve, you see since I'm a vampire, I don't get a chance to be in love", said Ben.
"But, we just met today, things like dating take time", said Steve.
"Besides the magic keeper, can't be with a vampire, he's supposed to be an example for protectors around this area", Jake stepped into the conversation.
"Not all vampires are cruel, dishonest, and out to drain humans like the one you faced, griffin", said Ben.
"You know nothing about what I have to deal with", said Jake.
"Yet, I can tell by your attitude you don't trust vampires, but you're not proving me wrong", said Jake.
"Guys! Guys! Enough!" called Steve.
"Steve, do you really trust this vampire?" asked Jake.
Steve looks at Ben and Jake.
"I don't know, I just know he's our guest and we should at least show him some respect", said Steve.
"You really think that is a wise decision?" asked Jake.
"Trust is the only thing keeping us together, without trust, there will be chaos", said Steve. "Please get along. Please".
"If you are asking, I'll try to get along with Ben",Jake decided.
"You finally called me by my name, I guess I can get along with Jake", Ben smiles.
"Thank you", said Steve.
"By the way, I have a sense we are being heard by an uninvited guest", Ben tells Jake and Steve.
Steve opens the door and sees Darrel, so he pulls him on.
"Oh, he's a regular human, should I wipe his memory?" said Ben, showing his fangs.
"You're the vampire?" asked Darrel, kind of surprised.
"Surprised...Darrel, was it?" asked Ben.
"You know my name", said Darrel.
"Darrel, why did it have to be you? I don't want to wipe your memory", said Steve.
"Well, I can keep a secret, or maybe Ben could turn me into a vampire", Darrel suggested.
"He's asking, can I?" asked Ben, looking at Steve.
"The council will kill if they see I let a human know about this", said Steve.
Steve looks at seriousness in his eyes, and says "Darrel, are you sure because you'll have to drink human blood, and you can never grow up plus vampires aren't exactly loved".
"It's true", said Ben, with little emotion.
"I'm willing to accept that, plus I get to join my love in the streets", said Darrel.
"Weird kid, so that's a yes", said Ben.
"Do it", said Darrel.
"You might want to close your eyes, Darrel", said Steve.
Darrel closes his eyes, as Ben sinks his fangs into Darrel's neck.
Darrel grows fangs and his eyes turn red.
Once Ben lets him go, Darrel lands on Jake.
"Darrel! Darrel! Are you okay?" asked Steve.
"I'm fantastic", Darrel smiles.
Darrel smells Steve, and says "And your blood actually smells good".
"I know", said Ben.
"Darrel, Ben, no drinking my blood", said Steve.
"I'm sorry, I almost lost myself", said Darrel.
"So, who's this love of yours?" asked Ben, curious.
"He's a rebel, that likes to ride a motorcycle, since he hates the rules", said Darrel.
"Interesting, sounds like a friend of mine", said Ben.
Ben senses the principal, and says "Darrel, you might want to leave".
Darrel uses his super speed and leaves.
The principal lands in the room.
"The magic council has taken a vacation", said the principal, with a disappointed look on his face.
"Oh a twist", said Ben.
"And not a good one", said Jake.
Steve is distracted in his own thoughts.
