Chapter 4: Kinsey

"What's wrong?" Kei looked confused, seeing the hard expression on his face. Realizing the glance of the Umbra's eyes, Kei hid her hand behind her back.

Umbra knelt down and immediately pulled her hidden hand. He could see the bite marks on the kid's wrist.

"Who bit you?"

"Just some insolent child. It's not serious at all."

"You want me to avenge?"

"There's no need. I've already done it myself." Kei answered proudly.

"Oo? How did you do it? Did you bite him?" it seems Umbra wanted to see a scene where Kei is biting someone's hand.

"No. I have another more satisfying way."

Umbra was curious about what method she mentioned. But he did not ask because someone approached them. In one leap, the Umbra had disappeared hidden in the leaves of a large tree.

Kei was used to seeing the extreme abilities of her Umbra. That person always disappeared and hid whenever there were strangers around him. It seemed like only Kei knew the Umbra face in this world.

"Katie! Time for dinner!" her mother exclaimed from a distance.

Kei... or also known as Katie dashing to her mother with a big smile.

"Oh, no! You're so dirty. You have to take a shower before eating." Her mother said while holding her daughter's tiny hands.

Kei soaked directly in the river located behind her house. The water was so clean and refreshing that Katie was never lazy to take a bath. Only when bathing, something unique happens.

Katie's hair was initially light brown, now turned red. The color of brown has been washed out by the water. This brown color comes from the color spray that was sprayed on her hair every morning. The actual her hair color was dark red as crimson as a tantalizing apple.

Her name was Katleen Morse. Unfortunately, this name was not her real name. Her foster, who was now taking care of her, was not her biological parents. Katie knew it because Umbra and her parents told her. Even so, Katie still considered them both her parents and became obedient children.

Her parents also knew there was an Umbra near them. But they never saw him or met him. There was a rule that outsiders who saw the Umbra's face besides its 'owner' must die. And the intended 'owner' was none other than Katleen Morse. Katie herself was curious who made such weird rules. Isn't it more fun if the Umbra can get together with her foster parents?

Since Katie began to walk, Umbra trained her to act like a brave soldier, while her parents educated her like a noblewoman.

When he acts like a tomboyish girl, he will be called Captain Kei. That's because both Katie's strength and agility are second to none compared to average children in general. Therefore, her friends made her their captain.

While Katie's name was her nickname when she acts like a normal girl, sadly, only her parents called her Katie. Umbra, her friends, and the school teacher called her by Kei because of her tomboyish attitude.

Of course, Katie preferred to be called Captain Kei because she felt the name was more supercool than Katie, which sounded weak.

Because of that, Katie was only gentle in front of her parents... while she went wild and tomboyish without her parents' knowledge.

Karel drove the car while looking at the rearview mirror anxiously. The mood of the young master was terrible. Not to mention the young master continues to wipe his cheeks with a wet tissue.

He knew he shouldn't be laughing, but given the little incident in the cave... he couldn't help but laugh.

"Young master Kinsey, do you still want to go to the hospital? What about the flowers? The great master wants you to give the flowers to the lady."

Kinsey glared at her bodyguard and driver.

"Are you kidding me?! Soon I will die if I am not immediately given proper treatment!"

Karel only sighed in response to Kinsey's excessive attitude. He wondered where the young master's behavior declined? As he recalled, the Great Master Marcel did not behave like this. Well, he never knew about his master's childhood.

"Besides, that woman is not important! Why do you always tell me to give flowers to foreign women?"

This time Karel sighed sadly. If only if his young master knew that Kinsey had been told to give flowers to his biological mother, Chloeny Paxton.
