Chapter 3: "OH, HOW I LOVE SCHOOL"

We finally pull up in the school parking lot and I am far from even being glad or happy, all I feel right now is like killing someone specifically my best friend who ignored all my requests to grab food from one of the many eateries we saw on our way to this hell. Does he not know that one needs energy and a wakeup call which is a good burger and a strong cup of coffee before entering the forbidden hallways of hell? Okay sure, I can be overly dramatic at times but places like school are not a place to joke about, this is where every teenager's nightmares begin and this is the place that impacts on someone's entire life. Most people who are working still relive the evils that lie in the hallways of school and they wish they could take it back so in all honesty, I am not being overly exaggerated about school and the darkness it carries. All those fake models plastering themselves with layers of fakeness and all those boys who have an awful past and try to make themselves feel better by being 'bad boys'.

I can see a few people surrounding the main entrance to the school and from the tall buildings I'm able to see this school is quite large. The buildings look modern but not too modern which suggests that the school has survived the test of time, I feel relieved when I notice the surroundings of the school. Though looking like one of those schools straight out of a movie, I was very glad to notice that the school had some greenery surrounding it. The sense of being surrounded by nature and greenery, is a normal trait that calms us since our wolves are born primitive and used to the green surroundings, the huge and tall trees give my mind a brilliant idea but I am forced to roll my eyes when Allan shakes his head at me. Goddess, it is like this guy knows every single mischievous thought brewing in my mind.

"Don't even think about it." His voice is firm and I almost feel like punching him for using half of his beta voice. "What if a human saw you?" he adds, obviously being the most sensible one between the two of us.

I huff and turn back to scan the surroundings of the school and feel slightly better that we are early though I would very much prefer to be in the comfort of my bed but right now judging since we are new, we would get a few stares. It would be like when a new member of the pack arrives and every member of the pack is eyeing them like an alien, totally like that. Whether human or supernatural creatures, we are all very wary of our surroundings and when something new makes its presence known we tend to want to examine it and make sure it is not some freaking time bomb. The only difference is that as werewolves we tend to examine quite too much since our existence is threatened.

Allan and I get off the car and walk towards the main entrance after we are both done with scanning the open area, I might be lying on that part since Allan came out of the car first and literally pulled me out of the passenger seat. Upon reaching the main doors I stop in my tracks reminding myself of the hell school has to offer, this place is just torture all the assignments, homework and the rest thank the heavens I'm doing my last year. I do not want to enter these freaking hallways of doom and endure the torture for the remaining year. I close my eyes and feel rooted to the pavement.

"Even though you don't like school just show a bit of commitment and go through the door." Says Allan whose voice breaks my thoughts. He looks at me with a raised eyebrow and his stare was challenging me to not enter the building.

"Well unlike you, I don't really like this place." I say. He definitely likes this place but I do not. Not a single bone in my body is willing to move and I would very much prefer to watch the piece of gum that was stuck on the pavement.

"You think I like this place?"

"Um let's see shall we, you always remind me when we are running late for classes, you wake up early during weekdays like very early, and you got all those straight A's on your report cards." I reply with a 'duh' tone and narrow eyebrows.

"Okay, but that doesn't mean I don't hate school." He says and I find that very hard to believe than the existence of rainbow pooping unicorns.

"Says the straight A's." I answer back, rolling my eyes.

"Aleisa come on let's go, SHOW SOME LOVE." Says Allan stressing the last part and tugs at my arm while puling me closer to the doors of 'hell'.

"Oh yeah, how I love school!" I answer sarcastically as I follow Allan into the school or more like, as he drags me into the school.

I scan the hallways lined with blue lockers and stairs leading to different floors, it was a new surrounding but I had seen enough of this view in movies too much that it made me want to groan out loud and thrash in Allan's hold until I escaped and ran back home or that pizza place I saw earlier. Allan pulls me in an unknown territory and all my mind points out is how is he so sure of the surroundings and where we are going. We first go through the registry for registration and then later on we choose our classes, obviously chemistry wouldn't miss, I love that subject but as for biology sorry I have to say bye.

As we walk to our first class, literature I ask Allan which subjects he chose and sadly biology was one of his picks. This means that I have two classes without him. This means panic and me balling over in tears at the fact that I will have to be away from my best friend in this 'no man's land' or better yet, 'no werewolf land'.

"What biology!" I exclaim. "That means I don't have you in two of my classes." I say

"It's just two." He shrugs.

"Just two! It's not just two I don't know how to like get a conversation going, what if I end up with a chatty person in those two classes." I shoot back. I feel like a small girl shouting at a giant as a few people in the hallway send us concerned and curious looks. So much for keeping a low profile.

"Will you just relax, I bet those two classes will be okay. Now shall we go on?" he replies and the coolness in his voice makes me want to double over but I ignore the feeling and decide to be mature.

"Okay let's carry on." I roll my eyes when a few eyes are still on us. Could these people get even nosier?

We go to our first class which is literature -ugh, that subject-. Immediately we walk in everyone looks at Allan and I. First when they look at Allan, they give him Cupid eyes but when they turn to look at me and their expressions go pale as though they just saw a living nightmare. Is there anything wrong with a girl wearing black, everyone just sees it perfect on a boy. I want to yell in their face and tell them to stop looking at me like I am straight from the conjuring.

A teacher who then introduces herself as Ms. Rindorf welcomes us and then directs us to our seats. I could say that the next 30 minutes are the best part of the day but I would be sinning and lying, so I am going to say the truth and say that I just went through hell without the sizzle. After 30 minutes the bell goes off and it's time to head on to the gym, man I hate the gym all that fucking torture for what? Why does gym class exist?

We change into our gym attire and I'm a bit psyched upon seeing the attire for the guys. It's some huge blue basketball shorts with some really loose shorts but it seems like most of them don't agree with the idea as most of them are in personal sweatpants and shirts whereas the girls are wearing a blue top with a really cute short skirt but I really do not feel like flashing skin but sadly I did not think of carrying extra clothes for the cause of it. Upon entering the gym I know none of the things here are meant for me so I just head on to the bench and sit as I watch the guys play basketball and it felt like no one else mattered since the teacher was more focused on the basketball players. As I fall deep into thought about how the I'm going to spend the rest of the year here, an unfamiliar voice snaps me back to reality.

"Hey, not a fan of sports I guess." Says the stranger. Good job, Sherlock.

"You guess right." I reply trying to avoid any rude remark to escape my lips.

This girl has a very heavy scent of strawberry. Her scent is irritating my nose but I have to bear with it, I've smelt much worse scents, my senses can claim to be curse at times but this way we are aware and alert at all times. She has blonde hair with purple highlights at the end, she has grey eyes and pink lips, her body is a perfect structure of a models but one thing she had glasses, her look doesn't really suit the glasses. She slowly takes a seat next to me.

"Not a fan either? I ask.

"Nah, I prefer skipping the body aches." She says and I take back any bad thoughts I had about her.

"Lydia." She introduces with a small smile.

"Aleisa." I say but all I am wondering is why she came over to me.

We talk until it's time to prepare for lunch, she's very fun and turns out she's not boring as I expected. So we take quick showers in the girl's locker room and then return into our normal clothes and head for the food court. We enter and take a seat on an empty table. On the way we meet Allan and he tugs along, Lydia and him seem to share a few similarities which creeps me out since they both like reading. We sit at the table, I am completely lost in thought as Allan and Lydia have a conversation. So much for keeping away from humans, now we had a blonde with purple highlights on our table. We finish eating our food and stand up, ready to go out when a group of boys enter the food court. I can smell them from afar and predict that they were practicing some sport because amongst their natural scents is an irritating smell of sweat.

We ignore the noise and decide to continue when a strong scent hits me, I brush it off and continue in my tracks when the scent hits me again but stronger this time. I suddenly feel like something is dragging me towards the scent. I feel like my legs have a mind of their own as I am pulled in the opposite direction and the scent gets heavier.

"Aleisa where are you going?" Asks Allan from a distance now. I also do not know.

I can feel Allan and Lydia's confused gazes at the back of my head. My wolf was prancing and wagging its tail in excitement as I neared the crowd of boys who had just bawled in. I suddenly find myself standing in front of a tall boy with an expression which shows that he knows who I am to him and the excitement bubbles through me as it hits me.

He is my mate!
