Nai and Fuyu walked through the town, an occasional monster popping up every now and then but otherwise completely peaceful. Finally, they found a quiet and dark alley where Fuyu rummage through his pocket removing a small cube.
Fuyu: When I opened it make sure to grab my hand.
Nai nods. Taking this as an okay, Fuyu extends out his hand and immediately a glowing light fills the area. Nai in a hurry manages to grab Fuyu's hand, and in a twist and turn he is consumed in the light.
CRASH
Fuyu and Nai: Urgh..
Fuyu: We're here.
struggling to stand up, Fuyu helps Nai. Their faces were green with nausea.
Fuyu: Apologies for the ride. It seems like the lab gave me a prototype again. Now then shall we go meet the head captain.
They then walked towards a hallway, a elegant silver stair was waiting them. Finally, they reached a mahogany wooden door. The plaque on the wall wrote ' Head captain Lafayette' . Fuyu knocks the door before a voice from the inside invites them in.
The room, a beautiful furnished study. Its walls a pale peach matched well with the dark brown of the wooden shelves. Each row stacked full of books and files. In the middle of the room, was a table, the top littered with mounts of papers, files and sitting there was a beautiful young man of no more than in his late 20s with short pink hair swept to the side with the same pink eyes that gave away warmth. Nai could then deduced that he was Lafayette.
Lafayette: Fuyu what do I have you here for? I hope it's not a pay rise though but I can give you extra missions if you want, I mean, the other units would be happy to-
Fuyu: I'm here to give a recommendation for a recruit.
Lafayette startled for a second then smiled though it looked more serious and there did Nai admit scarier.
Lafayette: Oh really? You don't usually make such requests so I supposed I'll listen. Take a seat!
Grabbing a chair Nai and Fuyu sat down. Nai then recounts his story.
Lafayette: I see so that's what happened. It's already odd enough that the ring was without its owner but to think it was.....never mind forget I said anything.
This did not go unnoticed by Fuyu who arched his eyebrows warily.
Lafayette: Before we get to another matter, let's sent you down to the doctor first.
Nai had barely enough to time to process the words when he was dragged by the arm down the hallway and into a completely different floor. This one a reminiscent of a hospital. The walls were a simple white washed wall, the floor completely tiled with the color of a light aqua.
Lafayette then dragged him towards a young man with shaggy light turquoise hair, grey eyes reflected behind his glasses. He wore a white lab coat and an unkempt dress shirt. The way he moved was as if he had lost all meaning in life.
Lafayette: Nai I'll like you to meet our company's resident doctor and one of our researchers doctor Simon! ( Leaning towards Nai) he may look like a nice person but I heard his done some illegal stuff.
SMACK
Simon: Don't go spreading baseless rumours about me you suicide maniac now go along before I call Lisa or Ethan down.
All color disappeared from Lafayette at this as he scrambled upstairs back to his office. With that, Simon sighs before tending to Nai.
Simon: Seems like you may have amnesia or just some of your memories got scrambled up so only bits and pieces. Say what's your name again?
Nai: Nai.
Simon: All right, Nai. I know this isn't for me to say but since the idiot can't do anything, I'll just have to do it. Do you know what that ring means?
Nai shakes his head.
Simon: Its a form of identifier to us. Each member of our organization has a designated ring either they inherit it or are made one and it's not that easy cause once it's made its imbued with all the genetic details and DNA of the owner so if any outsider gets its hands on it, it will either self destruct or hurt(kill) that person.
Nai: I'm not sure why I wasn't hurt but the ring just feels familiar.
Sensing he doesn't want to elaborate, Simon let's him go.
Where Fuyu meets him by the steps.
Fuyu: You're in.
Nai: Huh?
Fuyu: Just as I said. You're now a member of Origin. Glad to meet you colleague.
He then hands him a file.
Fuyu: Everything you need to know is in there. You're room is on the 3rd floor. By the way, Lafay wants to see us in after dinner so get there
With that he leaves.
Nai then left for his room. The room was very simple with all the necessary items, a bathroom was attached as well. Opening the file, he found that it was filled with documents that stated his file, a paycheck and several articles. Dinner was peaceful which he noted was odd for the occupants as they usually found dinner to be noisy and fun.
Finally it was time to meet Lafay. He found that they were not the only ones inside though. Inside was a young girl probably about the same age as Nai with long pink hair and pink eyes. She was dressed in a black neck shirt and a shirt leather culotte.
Lafayette: Oh great you're here.
????: Just get on with it.
Lafayette: Now now that's not the way to talk to your older brother!
????: I'll talk nicely once you stopped trying to commit suicide.
Lafayette: Oh don't worry I've stopped until I find a beautiful women that is!
SMACK
Fuyu: Sigh
Lafayette: Anyway...I gathered you all here to tell you that you have all been assigned into a team together.
????/Fuyu/Nai: WHAT?!
Fuyu: But Lafay Nai-
Lafayette: It was the higher ups orders not mine. You will all gather in the field at 9am in the morning. That is all, by the way, before you leave, Nai meet my little sister, Lisa.
Lisa: Shut up, Lafay.
SLAM
Lafay: sigh. Teens these days are so hard to manage.
?????: why did you go and lie about this mission.
Lafay: Oh You were there huh, I didn't notice. I swear you're going to be as good as Kirito!
?????: Don't change the subject. why did you lie and especially why did you choose the new one. Something is not right, what are you up to.
Lafay: Hmm. I'm not sure, its just this instinct of mine, maybe it's just that I want to see what capabilities that boy has. After all, that boy may be a link to something even bigger
?????: ....
