Chapter 34: CHAPTER 34
Once we reached the Namaton Noshiko was finally clear that I was the Alfather. because my humongous form of a wolf was now missing from the Namaton.
I gave a hard look at the Jar of Namaton made wood in my hand that now held the dark for in it. after a but If contemplation I finally used telekinesis and the jar floated towards the Namaton. The Whole of Namaton glowed in blue light as if it was a neon sign and soon the jar was absorbed into the tree and the light work was gone.
"So beautiful, I never thought the Namaton was conscious to this level," She said as she looked the Namaton up and down.
"You never thought because you never needed it to be conscious either way," I said to her as I checked up the place.
I had the senses to feel energies now that I was gaining one up on my powers,
I could feel something similar yet different from my own two kinds of magic power flowing through the Nameton and branching off into other sections to what might be all over the earth, kind of like roots. I named this phenomenon the root of the world. quite classy is it not, haha.
Although the battle was over I still had some scratches from the fight though most of them have already healed. Though the same could not be said for Noshiko, she was tired as hell and still had injuries she did not completely heal from so I told her to go to sleep.
As the fox went to sleep I went over the events that happened in my mind and came to the conclusion that I was more in control of my emotions than I had ever been before.
it was likely because I did deep meditation so I was finally happy that I will be able to rid myself of this emotional problem, little did I know that it was because I was countering the dark forces for the Namaton and in return, it was helping me.
I called over one of the druids that worked as a chef so that he can take care of Noshiko while I did my deep meditation.
After two more days of rest, she was fine as hell and also went to bury someone she had some kind of liking to. I asked her if she wanted anything, she told me about how she wanted to go back to Japan but did not have any good means to go since there was a whole lot of war going on so I agreed to take her since I had some Namatons to connect to.
We later arrived in japan and I dropped her off, she let me go after I promised her that I would visit her sometime later and went ahead to find the other Namatons and connect them to myself.
It took me a bit over two more days before I was able to connect myself to all the Nametons and finally earned the reward that was called supernatural obedience, I decided to check it after I went back to Japan since I heard the report from one of the Druids at that place about ghosts and stuff.
The types of supernatural that mostly reside in Japan are foxes, wolfs, Durarans, tengus, and other spirit type supernatural that are full of mischief and that is the reason that supernatural means are used to exterminate the said supernatural as not just every supernatural has a physical body.
The hunters of japan call themselves Onmyoji. I have had some contacts with the hunters as well as onmyoji in the past and I am pretty sure that they have put me in that bingo book of theirs considering my capabilities haha.
I arrived at the meeting place, it was a beautiful western style tea place and was running well despite the ongoing war, a guy came over to tell me that they did not have any free table, just as I was about to answer that I had a meeting, a hand grasped my shoulder from behind as he said something to the guy in Japanese
I dont understand Japanese so I let the druid talk with the guy and soon enough we were lead inside and given a separate room to enjoy ourselves.
the small women who were the druid were very humble and gave me a cup of tea as she sat opposite of me, it went like that until the teapot was empty, to be honest, I was not a tea person but there was something in this tea that made me refreshed.
"Let's talk business now shall we?" she said as she put down her tea and took out her bag and started to look for something
Soon enough she handed me the file, I gave her a raised eyebrow once I saw what was in it
She gave a toothy grin as she watched me being astonished
"It's not just one or two supernaturals it's a whole army of them waiting to attack japan, I hope you can deal with this at the moment the onmyoji or as you call them hunter are not much in number due to a supernatural war that happened in japan ten years ago so I hope you can help us here, after all, it is kind of like your thing to keep balance as well right," She said to me
I looked through the file, there were reports from people about bizarre things happening around them and also reports from the onmyoji about how many and what kind of different monsters were acting put together which was normally impossible.
"It looks like they are being led by someone but the only one that can lead an army of different yokai is a unique yokai or some kind of fox spirits," I said as I remember the fox spirit that I had saved and decided to talk to her as well
"Consider it done I will contact you once something comes up...here take it you can contact me with it if something bad happens," I said as I gave her a metallic bracelet that fit onto her perfectly and pulsed with a red light.
Needless to say, that bracelet was also familiar and had some of my mana in it.
The fact that most of the people did not freak out in japan even after such a huge amount of supernatural present which mostly had youkai that could mot change into a fully human form was that because they could not be seen by every human, which was something very different from the rest of the supernatural world and those that were able to see them were considered insane.
Needless to say, I was one of those that could not only see them but also kill them with ease...mostly anyways
I went over to one of the rundown places that were marked in the file that Druid gave me. I decided to be a good boy and knocked on the door once
after five minutes there was no reply so I decided to go back to being a bad boy and bring down the huge metal gate with a powerful 'push'.
just as I was about to perform my move I heard a huge explosion from inside.
The place was about two kilometers big so I will have two be very fast which is not a problem for me.
I decided to go in the direction of the explosion, after a moment I was at the place where the explosion occurred and was surprised by what happened. There was a huge group of ugly looking monsters or yokai as you call it
On the opposite side were what I think the japan representation of hunters fighting them off with swords and spears and talismans, I could practically feel the ominous scent coming from. the yokai and decided which side I was going to be on right at that moment.
The onmyoji side was under great pressure as the yokai banged against the circle of mountain ash with all they had, some used abilities that were unique to their nature such as a Yuki-Onna using her breath attack and other such yokai.
"Shit shit shit who would have thought that so many yokai would be at the same place..how did we not sense the miasma coming off of them so far?" A bad guy with what looked like a special overcoat that was unique to the onmyoji shouted in frustration as he kept throwing mountain ash upon ash on the ground in hopes of keeping the yokai out for as long as possible
The other onmyoji were slashing and hacking at the yokai and killing them as much as possible, but all the good thing come to an end, One of the young onmyoji who was slashing at the yokai from within the barrier was distracted for a moment and that likely cost him a lot.
a large yokai with the face of a pig grabbed the sword which surprised the guy and he was jerked forward out of the barrier which would only mean one thing. He was just about to be crunched into a meat paste by the jaws of a big-headed yokai when I finally decided to step in and help them.

Shiki POV:-
Living in Japan was a constant struggle due to the war, I was an orphan and also a brother which made things more and more difficult for me since the orphan closed down and I had to fend for myself and my sis.
My day usually consisted of begging in the streets but that proved fatal very quickly when I had to escape with my sister from some street thugs.
I decided to buy polish and brushes to clean peoples shoes to earn money, it was going pretty well for me and my sister considering we were able to have two meals a day and love on a blanket but that also came to an end when one day we met the local things who wanted safety fees from us.
I was only a ten-year-old kid and could not stop the goons from taking away my hard-earned cash. o could only look at them with hollow eyes as they took the money I saved up to buy my sis a gift since it was her birthday.
Two more years passed and I was finally able to save up enough money to buy a small room for me and my sister in an equally small house that was owned by a poor old granny,
I had a pretty fitting life from that day four more years passed on and now I was sixteen and my sister was fourteen years old we had a pretty good life with the old granny, she eventually adopted us unofficially and we loved together, I and granny opened up a vegetable and fruit stall outside our home and it was enough to get us by.
But again just like always...good things always come to an end, just like usual we were off to a good sleep I tucked granny in bed and went to my room to sleep as well when I hear...feel the tremor coming from grannies room
it was nothing I ever felt before, I knew for a fact that this was not an earthquake since the pot on the table was not trembling, I just felt this termor and no one else did.
I Ran to grandma a room with so much speed I might have surprised the previous me. I slide open the door only to see a man with the face of a giant shark and the hands of an eagle's talons as it ripped off my grandma's head and was munching on it.....I felt so much rage....rage that I had bottled up in me from so long ago... it's like the world itself is playing a joke on me, whenever I feel like things are going to be stable something comes knocking at the door.
War, poverty, the orphanage closed, Goons, sharks, and now a freaking monster that can only be a part of some psychos novel is standing in front of me, eating out someone who I was indebted to and loved with all my heart.
That day was the moment I had started hunting down these disastrous beings...after I escaped this one of course.
My sister also helped me in this mission, we were approached by onmyoji that taught us the finest arts of tackling any ungodly body and reduce it to dust.
Today was supposed to be like any other mission day for me and my sister along with four others going on a scouting mission to investigate a random happening that might involve a yokai. We went inside the big old rundown place.
No one talked as we were not allowed to talk, it was an onmyoji practice of ours. After looking around for a while we found nothing, just as we were about to call it, I felt it again.....no one else besides me usually feels this, this was the sense that kept me alive all these years so I trusted it with all I had and rolled aside and just as I stood up I saw a spear made up of wood stuck in the ground
All the onmyoji stood in a formation, we didn't know where the enemy might be so we had each other's back, soon enough a black shadow swished past us throwing more spears made out of wood at us, trying to disrupt our formation.
It was a tengu yokai, its main goal in life is to protect something, but this type of yokai usually are used to living in the forest and never leave so I was surprised to see one.
The yokai was hard to beat but we finally took it down, but that wasn't all of it as soon enough hordes of yokai gathered on us from nowhere.
We kept making barriers upon barriers while killing the damned yokai that were close enough....but it seems that the world finally caught up to me again...it decided to take my sister from me this time when I was not paying attention,I saw it all in a very slow motion as a pigman jerked her forward and she fell right in between the horde of yokai.
"Nooo!!! Asahiiii" I shouted out to her as I rushed forward only to be jerked back into the barrier, I looked back at the hand holding me back by the collar of my shirt
It was our squad leader, "No, Rin you cant do that, we have to stop them for as long as we can so please dont do anything stupid" I clenched my teeth at his response
I could still hear the sound of Asahi fighting the yokai that came after her, but the Leader was trying to hold me down by putting the guilt of the whole squad on me, fortunately, that was not enough to hold me down
"Dont put any blame on m,e baldy, it was your stupid decision that has put my sister at risk and I am going to save her ko matter what," I said
As I took out my guns to fight my way through the group of yokai which was likely impossible I heard the sound of the leader saying something like how the whole onmyoji association was a family and how I was killing them.'Yeah right and Asahi is supposed to be a part of that family you hypocrite you just dont wanna die you think I dont see through you' i though as I also decided to jump into the group of enemies in front of me and threw out grenades in holes of distracting the enemies I wasn't gonna let the world be a bitch to me forever
As kept fighting I finally was tired and couldn't help but feel my hands go numb, my mind we're empty by now and I wasn't that good a swordmaster unlike my sister,
Finally my eyes started to shut down as I saw a huge wooden pike descend towards me, likely the pike of a one eyed which, haha
But the like suddenly stopped descending I looked up at the baggy which yokai who had a bloody hand coming out of her stomach, before she caught in fore and a guy who was very handsome and had thise yankee blonde hair and face stood in fromt of me, in his armos was my sister ,he gave me a smirk likely saying something but i was too washed out to hear anything and fell to sleep

another thing....my classes are now online so I don't have to be going from 8 to 6 evening to uni everyday so cheers to that however I can't cheat much because the finals are physical
