Chapter 3: Chapter 2: Complicated Relationship and a new companion
After I set camp somewhere far away, I then gave her food and water for her to replenish her health and stamina and then she asked the one question
"Why did you help me?"
"It's because I have a good heart and soul and will always keep on helping people that need help."
I said and she looked at me in amazement
"Look, I know this is hard but I want to teach you how to wield a sword, is that ok?"
"Why can't you use the sword?"
"Because I actually can't wield a sword."
"Why?"
"I don't know, it's like a curse or something."
had to lie to the fact that my class can't use a weapon but can only cast magic. MAGIC!! "But I can cast a spell!" "You're a spell caster who doesn't know how to wield a sword but knows how to use one?"
"Yeah, it's kind of like that."
"So that's why you need me-"
"Not as a tool!"
I assured her that I wasn't using her for my own benefits.
"Then what am I?"
she asked and then I placed my hand at her shoulder and said
"You are my partner!"
I said to her as I gave her a knife from the saddle bag.
"We'll train tomorrow at 4, ok?"
I asked and she nodded.
Days turn to weeks as I continue to train her and we begin killing monsters to level her up. She's now almost to level 19 but she's still at level 18.
"You've grown well, Raphtalia!"
I praised her as she got her sword out of the wolf
"Well like you said, I'm your sword and you're my shield, (Y/n)!"
she said in a happy tone. I was happy that I got to have my time Raphtalia but then I realized, what about the enemies? and then some raiders jumped on us
"Give us all your things!!"
The raider said and when Raphtalia prepared for battle, I stopped her
"Fool, didn't you think for a second who I am?"
"I don't care who-"
I then snapped my fingers and then the guy was blown to pieces and blood was on my fingers
"Ingra!"
I said and a green circle appeared and he was raised back
"Wh-What?!"
I then grab the other guy's neck and choke him as the other one tries to stab me but when they stab me, it feels like I have no pain or had token damage
"What are you?!"
I then snapped the guy's neck and let's go as his lifeless body falls.
"I am the one you feared many years ago, I am the one that was born from fiery pits of hell and all sinners must pay their prices, I AM LORD (Y/N) NAZFALL!!"
I shouted like it felt that the world heard me and the raiders just ran away in fear.
I then looked at Raphtalia with a face that says
"Too much?"
and she nods. Crap, now I just notified the world that the demon lord has come back and is now seeking justice. We then took refuge at a nearby village in an Inn
"That was way too much, now they're gonna know that you are the new demon lord."
She sighed
"I didn't know how to control my voice, I'm new, remember?"
I asked
"Yeah, what's it like in the other world?"
Oh yeah, I remembered that she got suspicious and asked where I was from and when I lied, she didn't buy it so I had to tell her the truth.
"Like I said, your kind doesn't exist. It only exists through our imagination."
"And you came to this world, why?"
"I was sucked in a portal, I didn't come here by choice."
"Ok then."
She then sleeps. I guess this is what you get if you get isekai'd. You won't always get an easy life like you wanted to, instead you get the opposite of it like RE:ZERO. I then sighed and looked up at the ceiling and said out loud
"What has my life become?"
Before I could close my eyes, Raphtalia then woke me up
"(Y/n)?"
she asked
"Yeah?"
"If you... gone back to the other world... can I come with you?"
"Why's that?"
"Because you are the only one that cares for me and I... I really don't want you to leave me. Are you-"
"No, never, I would never abandon you!"
I said and went to her bed and hugged her. I really do care and love her. It's just I can't show her yet "But you're a demon lord." she said in sadness. I then kiss her forehead
" Even if I'm a demon lord, I'm still your shield. No matter what."
I said and I'm hearing her crying
"Thank you."
Is all she said and hugs me back.
The door was knocking and when I opened the door to check, there's no one there and when I looked down, I saw a big egg but not that big. I took it inside and put it at the table
"Who do you think that's from?"
"I don't know."
Then the egg started to crack and then a smoke came out of it then big white ostrich-looking chicken appeared out of thin air
"My name is Filolial!"
she exclaimed
"Well, I guess I'll name you Filo then."
Filo then jumps off the table and then turns into her human form which I looked away quickly
"Put some clothes on!!"
I told her and as I remembered the saddle bag and ran back to the horse and rummaged through and found a shirt but wont fit her wings so teleported to the sewing shop and asked her to cut open the section of holes to fit Filo's wings. As she was finished with the clothing and paid her, I teleported back to the Inn and gave the shirt to Raphtalia. As it finally settled I looked at the two in satisfaction
'I am Naofumi but better'
i thought to myself
"Goodnight, girls."
I said as I took my stuff
"Where are you going?"
"To get a room for me."
I told Raphtalia and left them to rent a room. As I unpacked again, I noticed a book on my belt. 'I forgot about that.' I thought and I took the book out of my belt and put it on the table as the title reads "ADVANCE AND SIMPLE MAGIC SPELLS BY LORD NAZFALL'' Wait, the book was written by my descendent? I brushed it off because I knew he was bored and can't do anything while being the good guy. I then opened the book and started learning.
