Chapter 4: Emotional Spider
Mu En looked at the excited Ah Yin in front of him with relief. He did not want to possibly blow up his cover. If possible he wanted to maintain it all his life.
Ah Yin could not hold the silence anymore, so she asked excitedly.
Ah Yin: " Uncle Mu, what type of beings are humans?"
Mu En thought for a bit and gave her an honest answer.
Mu En: " Humans are not much different than spirit beasts. Some are kind like you while some are greedy like a certain turtle.
Some are lively like Xiao Ya while some are depressed like those spirit beast who have lost their loved ones.
Some spout lies and try to destroy others like the devouring dragon while some are the epitome of truth and righteousness like your uncle Mu En."
Mu En spoke the truth.
...Well, the last part was bs.
Ah Yin was surprised at the fact that the spirit beast and humans are so alike. But she frowned at the last part. Not the epitome part but rather the devouring dragon part.
'There are humans like that?'
Ah Yin then asked Mu En with a frown as her leaves vibrated a bit.
Ah Yin: "There are humans like the devouring dragon?"
Devouring Dragons were the spirit beast that were frowned upon by everyone, be it humans or beast. It was a beast that needed to devour others to cultivate and it took neither spirit beasts nor humans in its eyes.
For it, all beings existed only to be devoured!
But most did not live for more than 20,000 years because due to their nature, they never took the strength of the other parties into consideration, so they were killed after meeting a powerful spirit beast every single time.
Mu En looked at Ah Yin as he nodded at his words, indicating he did not speak wrong.
Mu En: " Indeed, especially those with power. If they saw a hundred thousand-year-old spirit beast, they would go to lengths to kill it."
Ah Yin's heart became cold at that time. The reason she wanted to become a human was she knew even with her healing ability, she may not be able to overcome the next tribulation. That is why she desired to become human and look at the world she had never seen.

Then her branches vibrated as if shaking off something. The serene voice of Ah Yin traveled once again.
Ah Yin: " Uncle Mu En, I thank you for worrying about my safety but I have decided to become a human."
Hearing at her determined voice, Mu En shook his head. If possible he wanted her to change her mind and stay as a spirit beast but seeing she was determined he said nothing. But on the other side, Xiao Ya was crying already.
Xiao Ya: " Wah! Big Sister Ah Yin, yo-you want to leave me! Please don't do that, I prom-promise to be a good girl. Please! Wah!"
Looking at the little rabbit crying with all its got, Mu En felt a little emotional. He remembered how his grandchildren wanted to stay with him but his son did not let them. Thinking about his grandchildren, tears came to the eyes of Mu En.
But remembering his children made his heart furious. He had raised such unfilial children! His son kicked him out of his house when he married a girl he loved. Just at her consent, he kicked him out!
What about all those years he gave his everything to raise him alone?
Mu En's emotions were very riled up. Thinking about how his wife told him on her deathbed to take care of his son made him sad. He wanted to ask her for forgiveness that he could not raise a good kid.
Sure, he was a bit perverted but that was only because he wanted to bring a little color to the life of his son when he ever told him a story.
Mu En was very emotional.
Ah Yin seeing Xiao Ya crying like that, felt sad. But what surprised her was that Mu En seemed to be crying too!

Xiao Ya stared Ah Yin to say that she did not want her to become a human anymore, but, seeing her silent she understood that Ah Yin had probably already decided. Her happy mood was instantly down.
Ah Yin looked at the depressed Xiao Ya, as she moved her branch to wrap around the small body of hers. As Ah Yin stroke Xiao Ya's body gently she spoke with her mesmerizing voice.
Ah Yin: " I am sorry Xiao Ya. But I had decided on this for a long time. I have always wanted to go and roam the world freely.
I hope you will understand. Also, isn't there Grandpa Mu here for you?
He was very strong previously and looking at his action before he will definitely gain his prime strength soon. He will be able to protect you, after all, you are her grandpa. Am I wrong Uncle Mu?"
Ah Yin emphasized on the grandpa part more. She did not know why but knowing that Xiao Ya could call Mu En grandpa made her a little jealous.
Mu En did not understand the emotions of Ah Yin and said while nodding his head.
Mu En: " Right right, she is right."
Xiao Ya's mood also turned a bit good hearing that. But she still asked Ah Yin.
Xiao Ya: " Elder Sister Ah Yin, you will come to play with me from time to time right?"
Ah Yin giggled at that.
Ah Yin: " Sure Sure, I will drop by to play sometime.
Also, there is also little blue here for you to play, he does not have much intelligence but I can leave a bit of my essence to make it intelligent for you to play.
Even though Grandpa can play sometime, he is elderly so don't bother him too much."
Xiao Ya giggled at that. She knew who Little Blue was.
When Ah Yin was about 70,000 years old she took in a frail-looking blue silver grass and had taken care of it ever since. Little Blue was 30,000 years already but it still behaved like a kid. He always played with Xiao Ya whenever he got a chance.
Mu En did not know what they were talking about but he did not care. But he was thankful that he did not always have to accompany Xiao Ya to play. He had already suffered enough. This little rabbit's endurance was limitless. She nearly broke Mu En's 'old' bones.
