Chapter 3: Heartbeat '1'
Author's POV :
Xiao Fie reached near the University area and was looking out of the car's window smiling while his bodyguard Kim Min Jun was driving as he only allowed one person to accompany him.
They stopped infront of the University dorms and the bodyguard was not allowed in.
Min Jun :"Atleast let me help you move your stuff to the dorm"
Fie :"But they won't allow it, only students are allowed to help each other. They don't care whose son I am"
Min Jun :"And what if you collapse in middle of moving your stuff."
Fie :"I'll be alright, now go and don't you dare tell dad about this."
Min Jun :"FieFie-ah~~"
Fie :"Go away or they'll kick me out as well....Hyung can you bring my favourite chocolate milk when you come to visit"
Min Jun :"OK! And remember I took this job to protect you because you are my friend so don't think about getting rid of me."
Fie :"That's why you are still here. Now go"
Min Jun went back. He was going to his new apartment that was close to Fie's University.
Fie started dragging his bags to his room one by one.
Fie :"Room no 510...511.... Aya! I can't find my room."
A student was rushing towards him, Xiao Fie stopped him, he looked like he was in a hurry but stopped to hear what Fie had to say.
Fie :"Wu er ling"
(wu er ling =520 which sounds like 'I love you' in Chinese)
At first the stranger hadn't looked at Fie, he was typing something on his phone but hearing this, he slowly raised his head to look at Xiao Fie . His breath hitched looking at Xiao Fie. Only one word came to his mind.
'Beautiful!'
It was Kai. He looked at Fie and for a microsecond his brain had stopped working.
Fie waved his hand infront of Kai's face.
Fie :"Hello!..... Wu er ling!"
Kai came back to his senses.
Kai :"Huh!?"
Fie :"Room no. 520. I can't find it."
'Aish!What was I thinking. Why would a stranger say I love you to me.'-Kai.
Kai :"Go ahead and take a left the second room from there is 520"
Fie :"Oh! Thank you!"
Kai :"Are you a freshy?"
Kai :"Ah! Yes. Thank you now I'll get going."
Fie started walking, a smile on his face. When that student had looked at him he thought that he was very handsome and seeing his reaction on hearing '520' Fie thought of teasing him once more. Before turning he heard that student saying.
Kai :" Oh shit! I'm going to get late"
And then he ran towards the lift.
Fie smiled and walked ahead. He reached his room and the door was open.
Fie :"So my roomie is already here"
He came inside and saw a boy of nearly his age setting his side of the room which was the left one, so Fie had to choose the Right side.
The boy turned hearing someone stepped inside. Fie looked at the boy.
He looked quite not so friendly, so Fie just smiled and went to his side he placed his suitcase on the bed and went down to bring another one. When he came back, he was sweating and his breathing was uneven. Near the door he started to feel like collapsing but before he collapsed, two arms held him.
Cheng :"Hey! Are you OK?"
Fie :"I'm f-fine"
Cheng :"Come sit. I'll get you a glass of water."
Cheng helped sit on the bed and gave him water.
Cheng :"If you were tired, you should have asked for my help. You wait here, I'll go and bring your remaining stuff. Where is it?"
'He's not what he looks like at first'-Xiao Fie.
Fie :"Ah! Only one suitcase, near the staircase"
Cheng :"OK!"
Saying this Cheng went down and came back with Fie's suitcase.
He pulled a chair and sat on it infront of Fie.
Cheng :"Are you OK now?"
Fie :"Hmm! By the way I'm Xia Xiao Fie"
Cheng :"Gu Cheng, you can call me Cheng. What happened to you earlier."
Fie :"Ah! That nothing just fatigue."
Cheng :"Why didn't you asked for my help?"
Fie :"Honestly you didn't looked like a friendly person"
Gu Cheng laughed.
Cheng :"You are right! I'm not, it's just that I felt, I wanted to become your friend."
Fie :"Which year?"
Cheng :"2nd"
Fie :"Wow~~You are my senior so should I call you senior Cheng? ."
Cheng :"No that sounds like I'm someone old, you can call me Cheng Ge"
(*Ge means big brother)
Fie :"Okey~~Cheng Ge"
Cheng :"Come let's go to the University, we can come back to arrange your stuff later. I'll show you around"
Fie :"OK!"
Fie took something out of his bag and stuffed it in his pocket but Cheng couldn't see it. Then they left the dorms and entered the Uni grounds. The University was big and many senior students stood on the intersections to guide the students as to where they want to go with Uni maps in their hands. Gu Cheng was walking ahead of Fie. It was too crowded. Fie was looking around and when he looked ahead, he couldn't see Cheng and he looked here and there but to no avail, he decided to go to the medical faculty, he went to the senior standing near to him giving maps to all the freshermen.
Fie :"E-excuse m-me!"
That senior turned around.
Fie :"It's you!"
Kai :"What is it this time?"
Fie :"I'm lost I--"
Kai :"Are you a kid?"
Fie :"I don't know the way back to the dorms."
Kai :"You want me to take you there? Who do you think I am? Your momm!! I'm standing here guiding the students not to accompany them. Go away I'm already pissed off."
'Mommy....' - Fie
Kai said and turned around.
Fie :"I was-- just*sniff*asking for directions *sniff* you didn't need to be so rude"
Kai felt as if his world crumble down hearing the sobs, he slowly turned around and saw Fie looking downwards, tears falling on the ground, he felt bad. He raised his hand to touch Fie's shoulder but before he could touch him, a boy came running.
Cheng :"Xiao Fie!"
Kai retreated his hand, Cheng came and held Fie and Fie was still looking down. Cheng glared at Kai.
Cheng :"Kai! You better stay away from him. I won't allow you hurt him"
Kai just shrugged his shoulders and turned around and Cheng held Fie by his shoulders and started walking to the dorms direction. Kai turned to look at Fie and he saw Fie's back. He had an urge to go ahead and hold the disappearing boy but he stopped himself.
'What's wrong with me?'-Kai
He shrugged his thoughts and continued his work.
Cho Hyun :"How's it going dude."
Kai :"Go away Hyun! I'm not in the mood"
Hyun :"Who enraged the lion?"
Kai glared at him.
Hyun :"Alright! Alright! I'm leaving"
Kai couldn't get rid of the sobbing sounds.
Wang Yu :"Kai!! You should have came earlier to get a better work. Look what happened because you were late, you have to stand here in the crowd all day."
Kai :"Another idiot! Yu take your not so handsome face and go away"
Wang Yu :"Hey! This is getting personal."
Wang Yu cupped his own face.
Yu :"Don't be sad. He didn't mean it. Who's the most handsome face. Who's it?.. Yes! you are."
Kai :"Get lost before I kill you"
Yu :"Alright! I'll take my handsome face and go away maybe there'll be some beauties, who'll be interested in my face."
Saying this he also left.
