Chapter 49: Fighting Jiraya
Jiraya looked at me with doubt and said "Follow me you two" and took us away from the village to a secluded place near a river. After reaching there, Jiraya frowned and said authoritatively "Now tell me your real motive Uchiha". I asked "What do you mean by that?"
He looked at me and released some killing intent and asked me "What do you plan to do with Naruto? Answer me truthfully if you want to live" and increased his killing intent, ready to attack me.
Naruto stood in front of me saying "What are you doing? Old man?" taking out a kunai & trying to defend me. As I saw this, I put my hand on Naruto's shoulder and said to him "It's ok Naruto. Just stay back. This old man wont hurt us. He's even weaker than that Orochimaru guy we faced during the exams. So there is no need to worry." I concluded.
Hearing Orochimaru's name Jiraya frowned. He then asked "What do you mean you faced him?" "Jiraya san, Hasn't the hokage filled you in on what happened during the chunin exams that Orochimaru came for my body?" I asked. Jiraya frowmed more and said "Tell me your real motive Uchiha or it won't be pretty for you. I know your background very well and that you are striving for power. But I won't let you lay a hand on Naruto." He then came forth trying to attack me.
I dodge Jiraya's punch and jump back. He then said "Good reflexes boy but you are facing a wrong opponent" And started weaving hand sighs. I shouted "Naruto het back and dont interfere" Naruto started saying "But Sasuke..." I cut him off and said "No buts Naruto stay back. I can Handle it. You have not reached this level yet". Jiraya then muttered 'Watee release-great water ball' and released a huge water ball. I responded by releasing 'Fire style-Great fire ball'. Both jutsus hit and csncelled each other out.
Jiraya then used 'Earth style-Mud shuriken'. I responded by throwing some shurikens and using 'Shuriken shadow clone jutsu' cancelling out his mud shuriken. Then suddenly Jiraya approached me and kicked me. I blocked his attack and slid back several steps. Then I activated Sharingan and jumped towards him engaging him in a taijutsu battle. But I was loosing ground fast. I was no match for him in strength. I used lightning flicker technique which is not yet perfected and arrived behind him and used 'lightning style-Stun', but he countered with 'wind style gale palm'. We both retreated back.
Jirays was astonished and said "You are good kid. Even if I'm holding back, you have lasted this long against me. But its time to end it." I then shook my head and said "You are not the only one holding back jiraya san". And muttered 'Gate of opening, Gate of healing, Gate of life, Gaate of pain--OPEN" As soon as I said that, veins started popping in my face, and a green cloak started covering my body and I disappeared and apperred in front of Jiraya and hit him in the gut sending him flying.
Jiraya crashed on the ground and spit some saliva. I disappeared again and appeared behind him and kicked him sending him tumbling ahead. And I started attacking him without giving him a chance to take a breether. Suddenly Jiraya used 'Needle Jizo' and covered his body with spiky hair. I had no choice but to jump back and stop the attack. Then I suddenly weaved hand signs Ox-Rabbit-Monkey and grabbed my right wrist with my left hand and said 'Chidori' and ran towards him. Jiraya seeing it could really hurt him, countered with Rasengan.
Both jutsus clashed together and we both were thrown back. I landed on the ground and muttered 'Fifth Gate-Gate of limit OPEN' and suddenly blue light covered my entire body and I appeared behind Jiraya and started attacking him. Jiraya started to take in real damage now. After some clashes, we both jumped back and he wiped the blood of from the corner of his mouth staring at me in disbelief.
Then panting a little he said " You are too good kid. Nobody has managed to hurt me like this since a long time." I looked at him and said "Jiraya san, you are worthy of your name as a Sanin. I don't have good fighting experience. So this is all I can do." Then I deactivated the gates and dropped down on my knees panting. Naruto came running to me and said "Sasuke, that was cool" and asked me "Are you ok?". I told him "This is the side effect of opening the gates. Thats why I told you to only use it if your life is in danger."
Jiraya stared at us with wide open mouth and asked "Naruto, can you open the gates as well?" Naruto nodded and said "Yes Sasuke taught me, but I can open only upto the third gate now." Jiraya looked at me seriously and asked "Why did you teach him this technique?" I sat down and relaxed first then said "Its not risky for him. Kurama will heal him in minutes and i have made sure to train his body to withstand upto the third gate till the healing kicks in."
Jiraya contemplated and asked "Kurama?" Naruto answered him this time saying "Its the name of the ninetails. He's a good guy once you get to know him." Jiraya said in disbelief "Him? Good guy? how do you know Naruto?" Naruto then said, One day sasuke used his Sharingan and visited the ninetails with me and spoke to him and convinced him to be friends with me and asked him to lend me his power if I nedded. Kurama said he will think about it and Since then we have been talking with each other and getting to know each other."
