Chapter 63: Love is in the air
Christie soon got immersed in the passionate kisses which were being showered onto her by Matthew.
She just couldn't resist them. These were sweet temptations that pulled her further towards Matthew.
They got lost in their kiss and it was only when Christie gasped for air as she was feeling breathless that she realised that they were not in Silverstone's chambers but in Matthew's room.
She was really amazed and wondering at how Matthew had switched places while she was immersed in soft kisses of Matthew..
Matthew also seemed to know her surprised look. He tucked her loose hair strands behind her ear and said," I want to have you closer and this is the best place to have you with me. Moreover, I don't trust anyone there. So it is better that you tell me everything here." He Carried her princess style and made her sit on the bed comfortably.
" Now tell me how are you feeling??" he asked while he, himself climbed up on the bed and sat right besides her.
Christie who was made to sit on the bed, adjusted herself in a more comfortable position. She leaned down her head on Matthew's chest who was leaning his back on the bed rest. One of his arm was placed on his forehead while with the other one, he held Christie closer to him. His eyes were closed as if ready to listen to Christie.
Christie raised her head to look at him. Matthew threw his head on the bed rest with his eyes closed., intently listening to her.
" Umm!! I was unable to sleep last night.. So I came out to have some fresh air....."
She narrated the whole events of the last night.
Matthew didn't interrupt her.
He could feel turmoil in her heart.
It was really taking a heavy toll on her emotions to gotta know that she was Caroline and was reincarnated into the world again because of the strong pull and promise of her love.. She was bonded with Matthew.. Her memories were getting back in flashes. She was not fully aware of her previous memories. Those were in fragments..
And now her appearance...
And then these special powers...
She just couldn't come to the terms with all that.
All this was happening so rapidly..
Just a few months back, she was willing to graduate from Pristine University , but, her fate had such complex plans for her.
Yes, she sometimes felt lonely as if someone was calling her and that feeling made her alone...
Yeah!! She missed her mother when she saw her friends being pampered with motherly love. Though, his father never loved her less, but still, there are some things which each girl wants to share with her mother..
And within the time frame of a few months, her straight going, slow life took a zig Zag pattern..
Her mind was being bombarded with such a huge amount of information and memories..
After narrating the whole story, she closed her eyes and hugged Matthew tightly
Christie felt a solace in Matthew's embrace.. She kept lying on his chest.. And Matthew also held her lovingly.. Not leaving her for a moment.. He knew she needed him and he was all there for her.
When he felt that Christie's mood was a littlebetter, only then he straightened his back and got up from the bed holding her in his arms because he knew that she hadn't had anything since morning.
Matthew carried her all the way to the dining room. The servants in the castle bowed their heads and greeted them. They all were well aware of the status Christie held in the eyes of their lord. They had never seen their lord treating anyone the way he treated Christie. They knew that she was the woman of their lord, the lady of the house..
Christie was blushing in Matthew's arms. But she herself wanted all that love from him. She was missing all these things . So, She garlanded her arms around his neck, ignoring all the gazes from servants or the ministers who met them on their way to the dining room.
When they entered the dining room, there was Tigrith having his meals . But he seemed somewhat lost. The fork in his hand was in the air while he was lost thinking something.
Matthew sat on his chair and made Christie sat on his thighs. Christie was feeling shy as Tigrith was also there and to show off such intimacy before anyone .. ,her little heart considered it somewhat shameful.
She put her weight on her feet to stand up but Matthew pulled her into his lap and held tightly, not allowing her to escape. It made her blush even more.
" He is lost , sweet heart. So don't count him present in the room"
Matthew's words pulled Tigrith back to reality.
He was really lost in the thoughts of Harmoine.
When he saw Christie, his eyes glowed with expectation that Harmoine would be also there.
Before he could ask Christie anything, Matthew made him shut up by saying, " No, she is alone. "
Tigrith's mouth was left hanging open. Christie laughed upon seeing those expressions of Tigrith.
Tigrith greeted Christie by bowing down his head and left the dining room without exchanging any words.
" Why is he looking that heart broken?" Christie asked Matthew..
