Chapter 16: First Move

*Diodora Astaroth POV*
I look at my fellow High-Class devil in disgust. Can't they hold their libido just for a minute?
Tch.
I don't know why Lord Rizevim ordered me to go to Romania and investigate something. He only says that I should investigate Constanta because this town is not ruled by a vampire but rather a human.
I successfully persuaded my relative Ajuka to let me go to Romania on a mission to improve our relationship with the Vampire. However, instead of letting me come alone, the pretender picked another young master from another clan to go with me, saying that they also need some experience.
Lucky for me, Lord Rizevim only says that I only need to confirm the owner of this city is the same person that Lord Rizevim searched for a few months.
As we arrive in this city, I immediately feel there is something weird in this city. Romania is known as a homeland for a vampire, and by that fact alone, I know there is something wrong with this city. Usually, I can feel a chilling aura every time I walk inside a town in Romania, but in this city, there is no chilling aura; instead, it is filled with a weird aura. The atmosphere around the city is warm. I also can feel a calming aura that makes me want to sleep. Every time I use a spell to detect any magic, it comes with a zero result, which makes it more suspicious.
I don't like this warm atmosphere. It makes me sick.
"Oi Diodora! Come on, man, Let's enjoy our time here before we do the meet and greet."
"Tch"
"Don't be like that. I already pay for this VIP ticket for all of us. They have a Veela in here! It was a rare sight as they usually stay in that Wand Waver world. Come on now!"
"Fine, but I don't want to hear your complaint the next morning, Iolava Amon."
"Yes, Yes. Come on! Help me drink all this alcohol. When they say they will bring us a lot of alcohol, I don't think this much."
"Fine"
I sit down between Iolava Amon and Zephyrdor Glasya-Labolas, the candidate to be an heir of the Glasya-Labolas clan. I look at the woman walking toward him with a bottle of champagne in her hand before pouring the content into a glass before giving it to me.
I look at my serving girl and decide that she is not bad. With her silver-blonde hair and blue eyes and combined with an hourglass body, she is not a bad specimen. She also has this relaxing aura around her body that I like. While she is not as beautiful as my slave in the hotel, I can say that she is good enough for tonight.

*Charlotte Bacque POV*
"They are here on a mission to create an alliance between one of the vampire clans and the devil race."
"And they decide to send a teenager for this mission?"
"Yes. However, our target Diodora Astaroth is not your ordinary young devil. He has a silver tongue that I consider impressive."
"I see…. Is there anything suspicious?"
"Yes, Maam. When I ask Diodora about their goal in this city, he says that they are on a mission to forge an alliance, but I can detect something missing from my conversation with him. While yes he has a mission to forge an alliance, he also has a secondary mission in mind. For whatever it was, I don't know. Our target is rather tight-lipped about it. I don't want to make him suspicious if I dig deeper."
"Good. I want you to make them unconscious. Take our special alcohol to make sure they are unconscious for the rest of the day. While you guys are doing that, I will take some people and try to kidnap their peerage then interrogate them."
"Understood, Maam"
"Good, also bring our special Veritaserum in here. I want to try if it was working as intended."
"Of course, Maam."
I nod at my guardian and see her walk away from my office. It has been almost a month since I awakened my flame. At first, I thought my flame was Rain, but after a few days, Lord Lexian noticed something different with my flame, and after looking at it, Lord Lexian stated that I have a Rainy Sky flame. Rainy Sky flame is a Rain primary with a Sky as secondary. He says that this type of flame is for a leader that is always able to calm his/her subject even in a dire situation.
Lord Lexian says I can form a guardian for myself just like him. So I did it. I developed a guardian bond with my trusted pack member. At first, I hesitated to do it because all my pack members are women, and this guardian bond sounds like a soulmate. However, after explaining that a guardian bond is like forming a big family, I immediately form a bond with my pack member. I still remember the feeling of being complete after completing the bond with my guardian.
Anyway, I snap from my thoughts when my rain guardian walks inside my office, bringing a big bottle filled with a green liquid.
This is a Veritaserum. However, this is not an ordinary Veritaserum. This was created like a normal Veritaserum but gets enchanted by three different flames. Sun, Cloud, and Rain. Sun and Cloud used to increase the potency of the Veritaserum effect while Rain balanced the process to not make the potion explode in our face. The Rain also gives a calming effect that can make even the strongest Occumelency user sing like a canary.
This Veritaserum is so strong that a wizard drinking this even a drop will die of poisoning. This is the reason why we only use this special brew for a stronger creature. For example, an unwilling volunteer that appeared not too long ago. He is a vampire that snoops around searching for his prey but gets captured by us and then interrogated using our special brew of Veritaserum.
The only known side effect of this potion is that it absorbs the drinker's energy. So we can't interrogate our victim too long before they die because their energy is gone from their body.
When I sent this news to Lady Medea, I got praise from her. After reading her letter, we decided to have a small party because it was high praise for someone like Lady Medea, the same Medea from legend praised us by saying that we have found something beneficial.
But I'm still confused about the reason why Lady Medea hates our traditional dance. I know that she doesn't hate us because of our allure, because everyone in the Faysummit is immune to our allure. I wonder why?
"Madam, the preparation is complete. All the young devil in our club has been unconscious because of the combination of Rain flame and our strongest alcohol."
"Good. Now it's time for us to begin the next phase. The devil slave interrogation."
It's time to hear what their real goal is. I hope Lord Lexian is proud of us.

*Lexian Vongola POV*
"Master"
I look up and see Medea walk inside my office, holding a stack of paper with her.
"What is it, Medea?"
"Charlotte and her pack successfully get information from the young devil that arrives in Constanta."
"That fast?"
I take the paper from Medea's hand and read the report.
"Now, let see what Diodora and his gang want coming to our land."
