Chapter 73: New Sacred Gear

You know I regret not taking Vali another arm. He is the reason why Wendy is having a nightmare, and I want to punch him really hard in the face. I spare him because I respect Azazel enough; if he is not a foster son of Azazel, I will kill him before he can say a word, or worse, I will give him to Medea.
Speaking of Medea…
"Medea, what is that?"
Right now, I'm in the Medea workshop after she requested a meeting inside her workshop. Right now, she is standing in front of two glass cubes. Inside the cubes is a purple gas and another mist, but this time, it has a gold color.
"Ahhh, master. This is the sacred gear that I get extracted from the two people Cris brings to me."
"Georg and Heracles?"
"Yes"
"That's mean the purple mist is Dimensional Lost and the golden aura is Variant Detonation?"
"That is correct."
"I see. So what do you want to do with them?"
"I want to give them to you."
"...no, I don't think that is a good idea."
While I want to power up, I don't think this Sacred Gear is good for me. Not only do I already have Blade Blacksmith in my possession, but Dimensional Lost and Variant Detonation have a different fight style for me.
Dimension Lost is used as a support in the fight that rescues the user ally from getting cornered and redirects any attack coming toward the user and his/her ally.
Variant Detonation is a sacred gear that needs physical contact for it to work. It generates an explosion on everything the user touches. Heracles can make a long-range attack after he unlocked his balance breaker.
"I think the Dimensional Lost and Variant Detonation is more compatible with Amelia and Taylor than me."
"Really?"
"Yes. Amelia can use Dimension Lost to block any incoming attack, and she also gives a little bit of Dimensional Lost into her Angel Mosquito."
Angel Mosquito is her special Mosquito that can be used to kill her enemy by infusing an incurable disease or heal her ally by infusing her ally with a combination of sun and rain flame. That is why it was named Angel Mosquito. It can be either your angel of death or an angel of life.
"Taylor can use Variant Detonation by infusing her bugs with Variant Detonation aura and detonate it later. If she has enough time, she can make a thousand upon thousand explosions with this sacred gear."
Yes, this sacred gear can be used like a stand named Killer Queen.
"I guess you are right. Should I call Amelia and Taylor in here?"
"Sure."
We wait for a few minutes before suddenly, the door to the Medea workshop opens up, and comes from the door is Amelia and Taylor.
"Amelia Taylor, I want you guys to have this Sacred Gear. Medea, can you tell them about the procedure to bind the Sacred Gear to themselves?"
"Of course, master. Please make your finger bleed a little before placing your hand inside the cube. Right now, the Sacred Gear is in its 'Search for next host' state where it should go to another human according to its system, but I modified it a little bit by changing instead of going to random human, it will bind themselves to the person that touches it first."
Amelia and Taylor walk in front of Dimensional Lost and Variant Detonation before placing their hand inside the cube. I see the mist inside the cube begin to get absorbed by Amelia and Taylor's hand before completely dissolving.
A few seconds later, Amelia and Taylor take out their hand from the cube and look at it for a second. Amelia's hand releases a purple mist that dances around her hand while Taylor has a golden aura around her body.
"How about we test your new power?"
I ask them, and when they nod their head, I create a construct of Evil Dragon using my mist flame. I then look at Amelia and explain to her the ability of Dimensional Lost.
"Dimension Lost has the ability to create a special mist able to block any attack, as well as being able to transport anything inside of it into an artificial space. I also hear that Dimensional Lost has some consciousness, so treat it like your partner rather than your tool."
I look at Taylor next before saying.
"Variant Detonation has the ability to generate explosions on anything the wielder comes into contact with. You can let your bugs come in contact with Variant Detonation and let them make a Kamikaze attack or do it after you enchant them with your Lightning flame."
I then walk away from Amelia and Taylor to let them test their new Sacred Gear.
"Amelia, I want you to block the incoming attack. Imagine you create a barrier in front of you. I don't care about the shape, but I suggest creating a simple shape for now. I will let the construct fire a low-level attack and will increase it little by little."
"Yes."
Seeing Amelia nod at me indicates that she is ready. I order the evil dragon to fire a low-level fireball. I look at the Amelia block the incoming attack easily, and in a second, the fireball is fully absorbed by Dimensional Lost.
"Good, let us see if it can handle another stage of an attack."
"Lexian, what about the attack inside this sacred gear?"
"Oh?"
"Yes, the attack is not destroyed but rather stored inside an artificial dimension inside the sacred gear."
"Can you fire it back?"
"I think so."
"Then please do so."
Amelia raises her hand, and suddenly a mist appears above the evil dragon before firing a fireball at it.
"Good. Now let me increase the attack power to Mid Level spell."
The evil dragon fires another fireball, but this time it is bigger and denser. I looked at Amelia, who blocked the incoming attack and absorbed the attack, but this time, it was slower than the fireball from before. Amelia then flicks her hand, and another cloud of mist appears above the evil creature and fire the same fireball toward the evil dragon.
"Fantastic. You can train your new sacred gear in the training room from time to time."
I pat Amelia's head before look at Taylor and say.
"Now it is your turn. Here is something you can use as your bomb."
I toss a stone made of mist flame.
"Try to imagine your sacred gear turning this stone into a bomb."
I can see Taylor focus for a second before nodding at me.
"Good, now throw it toward the evil dragon before imagining it exploding."
*BOOM*
I cover my face from the explosion next to me before looking at Taylor and saying.
"Do you imagine a huge explosion?"
"No, I only had a small explosion."
"I see."
It looks like I underestimate the firepower of Variant Detonation. If the small explosion is bigger than the explosion of a Grenade, then I don't know how big the explosion will be if Taylor uses all her will to create the biggest explosion she can imagine.
"Excellent. Now, remember that Sacred Gears are driven with the power of desire, and it also determines the power for it. The stronger your desire to become stronger or desire to protect your family, the more powerful your sacred gear will be."
"Yes, Lexian"
"Of course, Lexian. Thank you."
I nod at them before deciding to invite them to eat together and give Wendy a pampering because she is still traumatized by the fight against the Khaos Brigade.
