Chapter 103: Raid (VI)
*Medea POV*
I look at the people in front of me with disgust. Since the time I got summoned and joined the Vongola family, I have experimented with many things and one thing I could say a fascinating thing I experiment with is a soul.
With Valerie's help, I could experiment with the soul, and from this experiment, I could learn how to see people's souls. I can see what kind of person they are from looking at their soul.
Lexian, my master and my lover, have a soul with a golden color. Around her soul, there is another color. An orange that protects that golden soul like a sky protecting its element. It was beautiful.
So when I see the souls of the people in front of me, it makes me want to throw up. All of their souls have been tainted and chained so tightly it begins to contaminate the soul. It was like seeing clean water gets contaminated by black ink.
"So you are the one bearing my name."
I look at the woman who is flying in the air by creating a platform made of a rune.
"I pity you who bear the name of Medea the accursed."
I grit my teeth when I hear her calling me with that title. It was one of the less known titles I had before the time I died.
"Let me set you free from the curse of gods placed into that name."
After she says that, fifty magic circles appear in the air, and suddenly many kinds of spells begin to fly toward me. However, before I could do anything, a swarm of insects appeared above me and created a Lightning Flame barrier, and blocked all the attacks with ease.
I look at my back and see Lexian, Amelia, and Taylor look at the people that just came out of the castle.
"Medea… I guess you finally met your 'ancestor,' huh?"
"Yeah…"
More like my counterpart, but I know that Lexian cannot say that I'm her counterpart from the other world. While looking at her, I know that she still longs for a loving family… Like I used to be before I met Lexian. Sadly she never gets her wish because the gods keep playing with her life like they used to do with my life.
"Master…."
"Yes?"
"Could I be the one taking care of the people here?"
"... Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Then go ahead. I know that you will be okay, but please be careful, okay?"
"Of course, master."
I then see Lexian take Amelia and Taylor away and order the other people to stay away. With that already been done, I summon my creation into the world. Twelve people appear in the world.
They are the same people I once summoned when the Khaos Brigade attack Faysummit.
"Attack"
I then order them to attack the one that is holding a spear in their hand while I look at my counterpart, then summon my staff and let Agathe change into a mist orb floating around me. With that done, I begin to create a magic circle above me and begin to fire a spell I learn in this world.
My counterpart also creates the same number of magic circles in the air and fights my attack spell with her own attack spell. I see that she has the same power as me in terms of this world spell. As I can see, she modified her magic circle a little bit, making it able to do bigger firepower with a little cost.
When I see that, I decide to change the strategy. However, before I could do something, I can feel Agathe orbs block something coming at me from my back. I look at my back and see a magic circle floating behind me. I can see it with my own eyes, but my magic cannot 'see' it. It was something she had never seen before.
"You decide to attack me from my back?"
"Hmph. What do you expect? We are the so-called witch of betrayal."
"I see. Then forgive me for going all out."
I cancel all the magic circles I used before and use the more familiar magic circle.
"Rain of Light: Machia Hecatia Graea"
A hundred magic circles above me begin to shoot a continuous beam toward my counterpart. I can see my attack destroy all the incoming spells my counterpart fires at me. This the main attack I used as not only is it easy to use, but it has the power of an A-rank attack for each beam.
But after Lexian summons me, this attack gets enchanted by the power of the flame. After harmonizing with Lexian, I can feel my prana get improved by a hundred percent, and not only that, I also get a mana core inside my body.
Lastly, Lexian gave me a Mist Vongola ring, Mist Mare Ring, and Mist Arcobaleno Pacifier. Vongola Ring that let me continue growing even though I'm a servant, not a living being, and not only that, this ring also amplifies all my flame ability by five times and increases all my learning speed by the same amount.
Mare Ring is the one that protects me from all fatal injuries, and not only that, it also boosts my growth given by the Vongola Ring.
Lastly, the Arcobaleno Pacifier is my emergency flame that keeps growing in size. When the pacifier is full of flame, it will increase its storage size by a considered amount and continue to produce some flame. I don't know if there is a limit for pacifier growth.
Anyway, I look at my counterpart and see she struggles to keep up with my attack's continuous barrage. Each attack or barrier she created gets destroyed by my attack. The more she tries, the more magic circles I create to keep up with her attack.
When my counterpart is busy defending herself, I create a hundred spikes made of Mist Flame and let them fly toward my counterpart, who is busy blocking all the incoming attacks.
*SPLURT*
She looks at her chest that has a massive hole from my sneak attack. I saw her try to talk, but before she could, I ordered my Rain of Light to attack her and destroy her, leaving nothing behind, not even a drop of blood on the ground.
I take a sigh and look at where my counterpart died with pity.
"I hope you will find your own sky in the next life."
With that being said, I look at my summon, who fights the people that hold the spear from before. However, what I see is not a fight, but rather my summon bullying them. From the look of it, those people will continue to regenerate instantly, and my summoned people cannot destroy them all at once without resorting to their Noble Phantasm.
"You can activate your Noble Phantasm."
With that order being said, I walk toward Lexian and the other. When I arrived near Lexian, I heard an explosion happening where I was. I look at my back and see that all my summon activated their Noble Phantasm all at once.
"Errr… Medea, why do you tell your summon to activate their Noble Phantasm at once?"
".... More Dakka?"
".... Fair enough."
