Chapter 19: 18 - Discussion
" Sorry But I'm your opponent " Giyu said as he blocked the path of the Kardael along with the other three mid-class fallen angels.
" Haa~ Who the hell are you?! " kardael questioned
" I'm someone sent by Azazel to deal with you troublemakers " Giyu said as he eyed the four of them.
" Sent by Lord Azazel?! And what audacity to casually state his name without honorifics!! " Kardael said enraged
" Calm down, look " Giyu said as a swirl appeared in his hand before a folder appeared in his hand. He quickly threw it towards the high-class fallen.
Catching it Kardael did what he was told and quickly opened it to read the contents. After skimming through them he widened his eyes and looked back to Giyu.
" My apologies, I shouldn't have judged without questioning first! " Kardael said as he bowed slightly.
" it's fine " Giyu said as he merely waved his hand.
" Damn human Don't get cocky with Lord Kardael! " A mid class fallen yelled but before that he was stopped by his squad leader.
" Stop! This man is telling the truth. This here is a mission briefing with a signature by Lord Azazel himself " Kardael said as he showed them the contents of the folder.
" What is your name good sir? " Kardael asked Giyu
" Giyu... Giyu Uchiha " Giyu replied
" Very well then sir Giyu, would you like to have a seat before starting our discussion? " kardael said as he pointed at a table in the room.
" Hn "

" So tell me the situation. Why did you go and kidnap the youkai princess? " Giyu asked as he looked at Kardael fwho was across from him.
" Hmm, well it all started when Lord Kokobiel contacted me about the recent mission my squad and I decided to take " The high class fallen angel stated
" urgh, Kokobiel " Giyu scoffed. ' What is the damn elf planning this time? ' Giyu thought to himself. He had already figured out it was an AU so many things can stray from canon. At this point he doesn't really care since he is the protagonist now... well the protagonist of his life... which is in dxd.
Giyu now just wants to live his life. But even if it's an AU there shouldn't be too big of changes meaning one way or another khaos brigade, old satan faction, and trihexia will happen.
Kardael ignored Giyu's scoff as he already knew the man's identity as similar to Vali's. " You see our original mission, were to stop a band of fallen angels that were considered strays from joining a newly formed group, But Lord Kokobiel told us otherwise" He explained
" Of course he would. So what did he say? " Giyu asked
" Well Lord Kokobiel asked us if we could help him go undercover " He said " Apparently the group of fallen angels my group were assigned to get rid of were also sent by Lord Kokobiel to go undercover and infiltrate a new group that Lord Kokobiel dubbed a terrorist orginization"
" Oh really? " Giyu said with interest. 'Well this is around the time that Khaos brigade will really start to move. Even Azazel had caught onto them no surprise the elf knows.'
" Yes, he ordered us to go undercover and try to join them. Lord Kokobiel had said that they might pose a threat to Grigori, so in order to keep peace in check we were happily obliged" Kardael said recounting his story.
At this point Giyu could only shake his head. He didn't know if whether to laugh or cry. " You do realize that with the stunt you pulled you nearly triggered a war between Grigori and all youkai kind. "
Tensions had already been high about youkai in the supernatural world, as a whole race of youkai were massacred in the underworld. The tension were so intense since all youkai, Kyoto, Eastern, and Chinese are all keeping an eye towards anything that might repeat the massacre of youkai. Even if they are from different factions in the end of the day they are all the same race, youkai.
" Yes, but we had no other choice in the matter. When we contacted the new group they said it was too easy to let us join. So they said to get us the head of the Ultimate-class being Yasaka of the Kyoto Faction" Kardael spoke
" Oh and you just accepted like that? " Giyu said as he raised an eyebrow.
" What? No, she's still an Ultimate-class being in terms of power. She even has youkai guards that are on par with some high-class beings. So of course we told them we weren't strong enough to do such a thing." The fallen said as Giyu remained quiet indicating for him to continue.
" But they were so adamant about it. They then told us to use her weakness, which was the yokai princess" Kardael said
" I see, very well then. I will say that Azazel will not like this, he is already suspicious that Kokobiel will turn traitor like Satanael. But he specifically said capture and not kill, only eliminate when unreasonable. If you surrender now you can still be forgiven, just know you got used by Kokobiel" Giyu said
Kardael was silent as he sat there contemplating. Finally after a few more moments he finally sighed before he shook his head and looked towards Giyu.
"~sigh, yes very well I surrender. I still have some important people back in Grigori, I don't want them to be brought down with me by being labeled as a stray" He finally said
" I see wise choice, then let us go. My companions should have taken care of the other fallen angels. You never know, the group Kokobiel originally sent might have been actual strays " Giyu said as he walked out the exit with Kardael following after him.
Exiting the door they were met with Kardael's three subordinates who were informed of the situation by Kardael himself. They too agreed to surrender as they had some family and friends in Grigori.

As they went out they went to the area with blaring auras of multiple people which were not even hidden.
Kardael was about to stop them when he was waved off by Giyu.
" Aren't you gonna stop them? " Kardael questioned with a confused expression.
" One of my companions need this. She had been stuck and needs something to push herself to knew heights" Giyu told him but in his mind he thought ' Damn I actually used that line, Vali's influence is getting to me '
" Need not worry as I'll stop them if they get too dangerous " Giyu said as he watched the fight unfold.
They watched as Kalawarner sustained injuries but had improved her flow of battle. They watched her slowly defeat most of her opponents. They also watched Karasu-maru fight two of the same power level to a stand still.
Finally they watched Kalawarner defeat all her opponents and gave Karasu-maru an opening to also wrap up his fight. Just as Kalawarner was about to hit the ground Giyu quickly body flickered to her and caught her.
" You have done well Kalawarner " He said as he watched her smile before she blacked out. Lifting her in bridal style he too smiled at her before gently whispering " Rest well, you've earned it "
