Chapter 1: The Night

It was a normal night as Lexi was going to bed. Brushing her teeth she had looked at her bed and saw her big teddy bear smiling at her as she smiled back "I love you teddy" Lexi said to the bear even though she knew it was fake and kept brushing her teeth. There was something about the bear that was not right that night it seemed different "Lexi bed time now" said Mary "Mom I don't want to sleep in my room my bear is scary" Lexi said as she was scared "sweetie your dad gave you that before he died you can't get rid of it" Mary said tearing up "ok mom can I sleep in your room pleaseee" Lexi said quietly " of course hun" said Mary wiping tears out of her eyes. Lexi was headed to bed when she was grabbing her blankie she saw something run across the hallway and under her bed "AHHHHHHH" Lexi screamed "MOM" Lexi yelled there was no answer and Lexi had started crying and running into her mom's bedroom "Hun what's wrong come her baby" Mary said softly "I'm ok mom it was nothing" Lexi lied to her mother.
