"My lord, they have finished their meeting" Tsar'Rin says from the doorway of my study.

I sigh as I put the book away "I hope they didn't kill each other."

"Siro looked alive." Tsar'Rin says as I'm walking in his direction.

"Well, that's good at least," I smirk as I walk past the glowing-eyed lich.

Stepping onto the balcony and blink across the gap to the other Necropolis with ease. As I make my way into the meeting hall I am greeted with seven faces including Siro. They are all sitting around the table except for a lich who is standing at the side. Hard to sit with a body like that I assume.

"Darion" I greet him with a smile. "These are your men?" I ask curiously looking around at their faces. A night elve, two blood elves, a lich, a human, and finally Darion.

He stands up and nods his head to me in greeting "This is Lady Siouxsie, Commander Thalanor, Lady Alistra, Amal'thazad, and Lord Thorval." They all do a curt bow in greetings, even the lich.

I nod to each of them as he introduces them then my eyes fall between Siro and Darion. "So what has been decided?"

"The vote was 5 to 1 in favor of joining your forces and giving you reign over the Knights of the Ebon Blade." I am genuinely taken aback, I didn't expect it to be this easy.

Seeing my shock Lady Alistra smiles "We are not fools, we know we need someone stronger if we hope to defeat the Lich King. A God is a good place to start." A few of the others nod and Siro looks pleased with himself.

I nod "Wise, for those who don't know me, I am Lorian, the Undead God of Pestilence, I'm sure you know that though. So have you decided if, when, and who will fight for leadership? I'm sure Kieran and Amon would like to fight for it as well." But before all of that, I request you accept me as your God of worship."

They each look at each other confused by what I mean. "By accepting you as my apostles you will gain power and I can make 100% sure you are not still afflicted with the Lich King's manipulation. If you do not wish to I don't really care, I would prefer my leaders to have a connection with me though."

The Lich bows his head "I, Amal'thazad, accept Lorian, The God of Pestilence as my God." his voice echoes as black light bathes him and his eye sockets glow a dark reddish-blue.

The rest look at him with a credulous gaze as they step out from behind the table. One by one all of them accepted me as their God until only Darion was left.

He looks at me in my eyes "I wish to fight for leadership without your power first."

I shrug "That's fine with me."

"Why Darion? We already know you are the strongest death knight among us." Lady Siouxsie says with a confused face.

"I need to be stronger if we are going to be fighting the Lich King's forces. This will be a good test of my skill." He says with a confident tone.

He looks up at me "We can do the fights now, the top level has the fighting pit. The corpses should be taken care of by now."

I nod "Sure, I could use a break."

'Kieran, they are going to fight for leadership, come to me if you are interested.' I say to him in my head.

"Oh, with the way I am setting up the army you cannot participate Amal'Thazad. You will be given a leadership position next to Prime and Tsar'Rin, you three will be in charge of forward bases and the necromancers once we actually begin the war." I say stopping the Lich before he walks out.

He nods "That is acceptable, may I go meet them?"

I nod "Of course, they are both in the room connected to the upper balcony, they usually stay there all the time researching."

He nods as he walks off in a different direction. "Lord Lorian," says Commander Thalanor.

"Yes?" I say curious.

"I have no interest in the leadership of the four. I would like to just retain my position as the flight commander and leader of the skeletal griffin legion." He says gesturing to the overlook where the griffin riders are.

"That is fine, we need an aerial force after all. But your primary purpose will be changed. I will use you for mainly hit and run as well as protecting the Val'kyr while they raise dead during battle." I say giving him a serious look.

He drops to a knee "I of course accept. I will perform my duties the best I can."

"I look forward to it." I keep walking and follow behind Lady Alistra.

A Death Gate opens in front of Darion and Siro, a gaunt-faced man with red armor walks through giving me a bow once he sees me. He then turns to Siro and gives him a bow as well.

"I apologize for my tardiness, I am Kieran, a blood death knight, and Siro's left hand." He says introducing himself to the five knights.

Darion nods "We were just about to go through the portal to the fighting pit." He gestures to Lord Thorval "Thorval is our Blood knight commander here, he is who you will face."

They exchange nods "Then let us not wait on my account." Kieran says as he gestures for the group to continue.

Darion leads the group to the portal as I look at Thalanor "I thought you said you don't want to participate."

He smirks "I am still curious to watch. I feel Siro will give Darion a run for his money, I've never seen him struggle in a one on one fight before and I would love to see it."

"Quite the masochist," I say with a small laugh.

He shrugs "We are death knights, we all are."

I give him an odd stare as I watch the group walk through the portal. 'Did I pick up a cult of weirdos?'

I shake off my thoughts as I step through the portal as well. We are back at the stadium room where I killed the giant abomination and all the other undead the Lich King sent.

Now that I'm not here for a fight I can see there are forges around the room ignited with soul fire and bars of Saronite sitting next to them. My brows raise in curiosity but I will do that later. There are also training dummies on both sides of the large area where acolytes are training.

I step forward and summon a bone chair from the ground to sit on next to the edge of the pit. "ACOLYTE! GATHER AROUND!" Darion's corrupt voice rings throughout the giant room.

The acolytes quickly drop anything they were doing and surround us, there is at least 300 of them. "As you all know the Lich King has betrayed us. We are now free to rain down terror upon Icecrown, but we alone are not enough. We will be joining the army of Lorian the Dead God, we will march onto the steps of Icecrown and make them pay." He gestures to me but I only give the crowd a small smile.

Cheers resound from the acolytes, Darion waits for them to calm before he speaks again. "Today will be a one time opportunity for you all. Us commanders are fighting for the new ruling order, take these fights to heart, if you do you will be set up for success."

He looks at me for permission to continue to which I give him an affirming nod. "Kieran, Thorval. You two are first."

I smile as I see them step down "No need to hold back, if you die I'll get the chance to raise you as a perfect undead." The entire room of knights and acolytes look at me with curiosity.
