"This is different from the other skills, why?" Link asked, standing with the book in his hands.

"You don't even know why it's different don't you?" Link said, walking back to his table with the book.

"Yep"

Link sat down, Tom and Fei are not here yet. Even though he learned the skill, Link still wanted to check out the book.

On the first page was the Title written in ink, it looked like someone smudged his finger in some red ink and used it to write, but on the second page it became more refined, like it was written using a pen.

Link read through a few pages, but he couldn't make sense of what was written, the words were understandable but for some reason you couldn't make sense of them after reading a paragraph.

At first Link only wanted to see if he could find out anything about the creator of the book or at least any useful information, but he found nothing of importance other than the skill itself.

"Odd" Link muttered, usually in books one would find the author's signature or anything similar to it, but the only thing other than the skill on the book was an odd drawing on the last page. It looked like the mouth of some kind of beast, the teeth were sharp, but oddly the lips were human like.

Focusing on the book, Link failed to notice the return of Fei and Tom, as he lifted his head he saw them engrossed in their own books.

"Zero, how do i use the skill?" He asked.

<That is easy, i can do that for you, But i have to warn you about 2 things

The first is that you require Mana to fill up the 100 points, and the second is when it is activated i am unsure of what might happen so i advise you to go back to your room>

"I have plenty of Mana so it's not a problem, I can keep adding and recovering it with time" Link said as he stood up, planning on returning to the dorms.

"You leaving?" Tom asked, Link passed by the table after putting the book back when Tom spoke

"Yeah, I have some things I have to do." Link responded.

"Ok, we'll see you later then" Tom and Fei waved at Link as he left.

...

In his dorm room, Link sat down on his bed.

"Ok, shall we?" He said.

"Wait, what do you mean Mutation?" Link asked with a frown, when suddenly a wave of pain ran throughout his body.

Katcha!

Sounds of the tearing of flesh and breaking of bones echoed in the room.

"AAARRGHH" Link couldn't help but scream, unable to hold himself back "WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING ZERO" He yelled.

Link couldn't hear what she said, the pain was all over his body, blood covered the bed sheets and his clothes were torn by the dislocation of his joints and broken bones. He could feel his cells dying and regenerating constantly, and every time they regenerate the skill finds a defect and it restarts all over again.

An hour passed when everything stopped, to Link it felt like an eternity.

He laid on his bed unable to move, covered in blood, bone fragments and torn flesh. Luckily the rooms were sound proof.

"Zero" Link spoke in a low voice, finding difficulty speaking "What just happened"

When Zero was about to answer, a message appeared.

"What does that mean?"

Link sighed, the pain was awful, he slowly closed his eyes, falling asleep.

…

Ring!

Link awoke to the now familiar alarm, as he tried to sit up, he felt that his clothes were stuck to something.

"Damnit, i didn't clean up" Link remembered the events that transpired, finding himself covered and surrounded by all sorts of things. He got up quickly checking his body.

On the bed was blood, flash and bones, but when Link checked all over, he found that he was completely fine.

"That's disgusting" He muttered, wrapping up everything with the dirty bed sheet and throwing it in his inventory. "I'll take care of it later"

After a shower and a new set of clothing, Link was back to normal. He found out that nothing has changed, other than his skin becoming smooth like a girl's.

Today was the day before they start classes, Students are heading towards the main hall to grab their new Uniforms, Cards and a List.

Link, Tom and Fei headed downstairs, finding the same scene from last night.

After a couple of minutes, Tommy arrived.

"Alright, this is the big day. Like I've explained before, The uniform is free but if ruined you're gonna have to pay for a new one, the card is similar to a bank card it has your starting points which is around 50 gifted by the Academy, it is the currency of this place so if you want more then you have to work for them, and last but not least the List, this is a task given to each of you by the Academy, go around our beautiful town and buy what you need from the stores, Use Points to buy everything. Good luck" After finishing Tommy vanished, it looked like the skill 'Blink' that Link has.

"Why did he say good luck?" Fei asked.

"Not sure, but something is going to happen I guess" Tom said, looking around. He was not the only one who was thinking that, but some already started heading out.

"We'll deal with it when it happens, let's get going" Link spoke.

The trio started heading out with the rest, Students scattered, each going to get the items written on their List.

Link confirmed that each person had different Items on his personal List, which made him think. "Is this a scavenger hunt? Maybe the items are few in numbers, and we're gonna end up having to fight for them or something aren't we."

Link separated from his friends, each heading to get their own things.

"Alright, i need a Rose Stone, where can i purchase this?" Link was muttering to himself.

After going from store to store, Buying half of the items required by the list, He figured out what the Academy was doing.

"The Points are not enough, are they trying to make the students rob each other? But by the time they figure this out wouldn't the Points be all used? Maybe they can sell the items back to the shops, is this why the streets are empty?" Link started muttering to himself when a shadow appeared next to him.

"Hey friend, i seem to be down on points, can you lend me some?" 2 people approached Link, the boy that spoke was huge for his age, he was probably around 5 foot 10.

"Is this kid really 14?" Link thought to himself.

The other was a skinny boy, he had long blond hair with a bony face.

"Is that kid even alive?"

"Hey, did you hear what i said?" The fat boy spoke, he was bald with a face covered with fat.

"I don't have any point either, how about you lend me some?" Link responded with a smile. "If they're trying to rob me then I'll do the same" he thought.

"Haha, you're funny. I guess there's no need to pretend, give me all your items and i won't beat you up" The fat kid said with a smirk on his face.

"Why don't you answer my question first. if i start running right here right now, will you manage to catch up?" Link said laughing. He was not the type to make fun of overweight people, but this kid wanted to take all his items without caring about him, so he wasn't going to be nice.

"You think that's funny" Said the fat kid, his hands shone in a brownish color, when suddenly walls rose from all 4 sides, trapping Link inside with the two.

"Toto, let's teach him a lesson" The fat kid spoke, looking at the skinny one next to him.

"Got it" Toto spoke, his hands shone in a white light, slowly covering all his body.

"You two are a hilarious duo" Link said, still finding things funny.

"We'll see if you're still laughing after we're done with you" Toto said, running towards Link.
