The next day wasn't the best in my opinion.
I was in math class with my ear buds in and just minding my own business. The atmosphere in the room was rowdy and loud. However, the teacher was not amused and tried to quiet the class but failed. I looked up and turned my head to the side.
I then point from my textbook to the whiteboard, as if I was getting permission to throw it. The teacher nodded as I stood up, book in hand, and chucked it as hard as I could. The loud THUD from the textbook connecting with the wall and then the floor made the entire room fall dead silent.
"Thank you for the assistance, Xana." he said before continuing.
Mind you, I don't often do stuff like that in school. I'm not saying it was something I'm allowed to get away with but I needed to this time. After that, the bell rang. I walked up to the front of the room to retrieve my thrown book. I sorta needed it for my homework that I had to complete over the weekend.
The hallway was really busy so I made a beeline to my locker. I had gym as a last class on Fridays so I wanted to get to my locker quickly before the bell. I never missed gym on Fridays since I usually don't weight train. Anyway, I make my way into the gym only to bump into the Coach. He looked at me as I signed sorry, only to wave me away.
I change and head over to the line where a majority of the class was. Once there, I heard whispering coming from a couple of the girls. I ignored it until the coach cleared his throat.
"Would you like to tell the class what you were whispering about?" he growled.
"We were just discussing what we might be doing today." one girl said
"Yeah. That's all." the other agreed.
I rolled my eyes at them and grunted. The girls looked over at me and glared. I stared until one had told me to say something if I needed to speak. I froze in my place as my eyes went completely dark. Smoke started to billow out of my hands and mouth until it was coming out in plumes.
I knew what we were going to do in gym today. I just decided to go first to get it out of the way. I noticed that everything around me was fuzzy so I stopped. The smoke died down until it fully disappeared and the coach came up to me.
"As you can see, today we are discovering what powers we possess when we are confronted." he said happily.
