Chapter 45: A convenient fall
"Where are we going Duelle you said you had something about destiny?" "We are going to my home, thewe is torn paper." Nick didn't really know what Duelle meant, but the system informed him to go. They were marching through the trees and getting close to what Nick thought was a river. "We are almost thewe, bewawe of holes." Right after Duelle said that Nick fell into a hole. "God dam..." was the last things Nick said as he trailed off.
Duelle looked at Bruni, "Thewe is an easier way down. I dug these holes for woots{roots}." The two of them continued down to Duelle's home. Nick was at the bottom of the hole though and at some point in he shifted his form. Splatter against a cave floor caused him to become very annoyed. He was trying to reform when something step on him and screamed.
"Aghh! Ewwww, what the fuck did i step in?" "Youghh steeeep onnnn meeee Maryyy." Nick could voice his opinion due to his lack of even liquid form. He slowly piled back together, his health in critcal where he couldn't even take his full human form. Mary who ran away however due to what she stepped in suddenly talking. Nick sighed and began to follow her direction.
About a minute later he heard a scream and Mary came running backward slamming into Nick causing him to lose his form again. "Aghh, again seriously Mary calm down its me Nick." Nick was anger at being dismembered again his health was now below 20 points and he was very scared at what would happen when it dropped below 0. "Nick? wait there is a monster down there it had four arms and it looked horrifying." Duelle walked from the shadows as she said that, "Awww, that huwts." Mary started stumbling back again, but Nick stopped her. "That's the earth spirit he is fine, he is an herbivore." "THOSE TEED ARE NOT HERBIVORIC!" was Mary's only response. "Actually my teeth are used to stwipe bark from twees and chew on hard woots." Duelle's correction made Mary take a step back and process his odd speech. "I asked him to talk like that cause otherwise he sounds as you can imagine." Nick then turned to Duelle, "So this is your home cave. Can you lead me to the paper you told me about and then you can guide us out. I don't think we will find the way." Bruni acted as a torch as they were all lead through the cave.
