Chapter 13: Boyfriend Duties

CHAPTER XIII: Boyfriend Duties

The girl and I were eating at the table when I remembered that we haven't introduced ourselves to each other. I just invited her to eat right away after I finished treating her scratches.

"Hey, what's your name?" I asked casually.

"Oh sorry, it was a bit rude not to introduce myself. By the way, I am Sapphire Bleu Ferrell, but you can call me Saph." She smiled.

Her name matches her eyes with the color blue. But her name is spelled as Bleu.

"Okay. Saph it is then." I chuckled.

"Who are those guys?" she said while munching. Probably pertaining to the boys at the Living room. They're literally just ignoring us!

"The guy with curly hair in front of the television is Aspen. He always smile as you can see." I pointed out.

"Is he the most sensible among them? He looks like he is." she said. I chuckled because how can she think that Aspen is the most sensible? I mean, based from his looks, he looks more of a playboy than a sensible one.

"Sad to say, but no. Stephen is the most sensible among them." I said.

She looked at me, confused, when I said that Stephen is the most sensible. Oh right. I didn't even pointed out Stephen yet.

"He is the one with glasses. He has no eye difficulties but he prefers wearing glasses. To suit his style, I guess?" I said as I pointed at the single couch where Stephen is.

"He looks like a nerd." She winced.

"Well, kind of. He prefers books more than girls. He's also the wisest among them." I chuckled.

"Oh, well then, who's that? The one with thick brow." she said as she pointed at the other single couch.

"That's Maddox. He's the most serious. He didn't even want to interact with other people except for us. Feeler. He thinks he's handsome that's why he don't want to befriend someone else except us." I rolled my eyes.

"He definitely has good looks. He looks like an angel. He's so dreamy."

I swear. I just saw her eyes shimmered as she said that. I never thought of Maddox as handsome. I mean, I remembered describing them gorgeous but ugh. Maybe I became used to their faces that's why they don't appear handsome to me anymore.

"Well miss, I am more handsome than Maddox."

I looked behind to see who talked. There I saw Damon, smirking at us while preparing coffee at the coffee machine.

I heard Saph gasped.

"Arrogant. You're not even handsome." Saph hissed. Even if she made her voice small, I can guarantee that Damon definitely heard it. Based from his expression, he looked shocked from what Sapphire have said.

"What?" Damon gasped.

"I said, you are not handsome even a single bit compared to them!" Saph said loudly. I can already sense that she is annoyed by Damon. Well, I can't blame Damon because this is probably the first time he heard that he is not handsome, coming from a girl. Also for me, I'm shocked that Saph doesn't see Damon's handsomeness. We are used to all the girls saying that Dame is gorgeous as hell.

I heard Dame gasped again then walked his way back to the couch while sipping his coffee.

"Who is that? He is so arrogant. I hate his guts." Saph rolled her eyes.

"That's Damon. He's just used at girls praising him." I chuckled.

"Those girls are probably blind." She sound disgusted by those girls.

"Blinded by his charms I guess." I shrugged. Oh well, he's really charismatic. He even won the title of the Most Handsome Face of the Year, back to back, and this year, he got nominated again.

"Handsome his ass. He just have some nice features but he's not handsome." She rolled her eyes out of annoyance.

I was about to talk when my phone beeped, indicating that I have received a message. So I took it out.

Cameron

Done with my classes. It was announced just now that you guys have a shortened period. Where are you at? I'm going to pick you up.

Oh, my boyfriend just texted me. Maybe we're going on a date that's why he texted me.

Me

At our headquarters. The vacant room next to the principal's office. Let's just meet at the quadrangle.

Cameron

Okay. See you.

Maybe I should change his contact name into 'Boyfriend'. Just by the thought of it is enough to make me blush.

"I got to go. I'm sorry, my boyfriend just texted me." I said as I waved my phone to Saph.

"Oh, okay. We'll meet again next time right?" she asked me worriedly.

"Yes, of course. You're my friend now. I think we should exchange phone numbers to keep in touch." I handed her my phone so that she could save her number. In exchange, she gave her phone to me.

"There." She said giving back my phone.

"Well, I guess it is a goodbye?" I said.

"No. It's see you soon." We both chuckled on what she said. She waved her hands as she walked out through the door.

"Boys, I need to go now." I turned to them at the living room.

"Why?" Maddox asked.

"Cameron is waiting for me." I said as I organized my things.

"Tell him to come here." Aspen commanded.

"What? Why?" I hissed.

"We will talk to him, of course." Damon said. These guys. Is it needed?

"Is it even necessary?" I rolled my eyes.

"Well, of course, Blaire. It is very much needed. We must know him personally to say that he is suitable for you.

_____

Silence is eating us already.

I told Cameron to come over here at our headquarters. But now that he's here, no one's talking. No one dared to talk.

"Uh, guys?" I called them out.

I called them because there's no one talking. I thought they would have a talk with Cameron that's why they made me summon him here.

"Are you guys planning to say anything?" I broke the silence.

They just glared at me.

"So, Cameron is the name?" Aspen started.

"Yup." Cameron said casually.

"I am Aspen, he's Damon, he's Maddox, and he's Stephen." Aspen said while pointing out who's who.

"Nice to meet you." Cameron replied.

"Nice to meet you too."

"It's not nice to meet you."

They all said in unison but I can still distinguish who has the different answer based from the voice. It was Daemon's. With a deep, husky voice, I'm sure that it was him so I glared at him.

"What?" he said as he noticed my glare.

"You're rude." I hissed.

"Little Blaire, it's normal for us to not give a warm welcome to someone who just stole your heart." He smirked.

"Can you please wait outside, Blaire? We just need to talk." Stephen suddenly said.

"Without me?" I gasped.

"It's a boy's talk so technically, no girls allowed." He reasoned out.

_____

"Can you please tell me?" I nudged Cameron on his side.

We're on our way home now and he's going to drop me off. I'm asking him repeatedly what did they talked about earlier because they won't tell me anything. Not even a single bit. Their only answer was 'nothing', 'it's private', 'you don't need to know' when I asked about their talk.

I'm dying to know it.

"Blaire, it's a secret between us." Cameron just chuckled.

Can't he just spill the tea to me? I'm his girlfriend. Ugh!

"Pretty please?" I pouted at him. This is my last card. I'm trying to look cute to lure him out. To spill the talk they had earlier.

"Uh-no girlfriend. That won't work on me." He ruffled my hair. I just snorted because I'm really annoyed at this moment.

"But can you please tell me that they are okay with you?" I asked.

"We good. Don't worry about it." He chuckled.

"Well then, that's all I need to know." I said but I heard him sighed out of relief.

"For now." I added as I glared at him. He just laughed mockingly at me.

We arrived at our house. He's literally making me crazy! He's the one who removed my seatbelt. He didn't even let me open the door on my side because he said, "I want to open it up for you, girlfriend." And so I let him.

"So, see you tomorrow morning?" he asked. My eyebrows creased at what he just said.

"Morning? Why?" I asked curiously.

"I'm going to fetch you and drop you off every day, so expect to see me every now and then." He smirked.

"You don't really have to do that." I tilted my head down. I don't want him to see my face. I can feel it turning into red and I'm also in the verge of smiling!

"Well, I want to." He smiled widely.

"Besides, it's part of my duty. Boyfriend duties." He added while smirking at me.

I can feel the butterflies in my stomach. This time, I can't hide my face anymore. I turned into a tomato in front of him. It's embarrassing!

"Goodbye, girlfriend." He gave me a quick peck on the cheeks and ran towards his car.

"Goodbye, boyfriend." I waved at him.

He took one last glance before driving off.
