Chapter 22: Big Sister?

"I am happy to tell you that 80% of the ingredients we used are organic so there are no side effects but let me make myself clear about the success stories you have witnessed earlier," Stephanie paused. What she failed to say earlier is that not everyone that uses the products will experience the magical effects of the products. Only those who desperately desire the effect will have such miracles. The strange voice has told her, "Not every one that prays for a miracle encounters the miracle they want. Only those who truly wished for it and are sincere about their request will experience such a turnout."

The voice had used her case as an example. She had prayed for a miracle for over twelve years of her life but the miracle never happened. It only happened when she was in desperation for it to happen.

What this strange voice did not reveal to her was that her prayers were not answered all those years because of a two thousand year curse. She was patiently waiting for things to unravel. Waiting for the perfect timing to reveal the secret that will mar the now happy Stephanie.

"Only those who hunger and thirst for a miracle will find the miracle. Someone told me this but who knows she might be wrong," Stephanie said still maintaining her smiling face.

"Thank you so much for staying with us. Don't hesitate to buy the products now because it's remaining a few," Stephanie said smiling. She walked down the stairs gracefully. Media houses who had the honour to be invited capture every moment. Just a mere smile from this goddess is exclusive news for everyone who was not privileged to attend the events so they needed to capture every moment because they are precious.

"Hello, Mr Edward thank you so much for the huge purchase and thanks for coming too," Stephanie greeted with smiles. She moved to another guest.

"Thank you so much, Chairwoman Alexandra. I am so happy you made it," Stephanie said giving the woman a big hug. She walked around to welcome other guests.

"I would never forget to thank my co-actress. I suppose I am no longer an actress so you are not my co-actress, right," Stephanie joked as she gave the beautiful young lady a warm hug. "Thank you for coming to my event, actress Keira Knightley. I thought your tight schedule would prevent you from coming," Stephanie said.

"How could I not come when my once rival and good friend is hosting the biggest event of all time," Keira exaggerated smiling. They talked for more than five minutes before Stephanie moved to several other people.

"Wow....," Stephanie exclaimed as she spread her hands to welcome a beautiful lady dressed in a purple long gown. She looks so gorgeous.

"I can't believe you actually came. I am speechless," Stephanie exclaim still in surprise.

"How could I not come when my senior and role model is holding an event? I still hold you in high esteem even though you abandoned me three years ago," Margot Robbie one of the most prominent actress of all time joked. She and Stephanie were good friends when she was still acting. Stephanie debuted at the age of sixteen while she debuted when she was 17 so she always addressed Stephanie as her senior.

"You can never change. You are still very mischievous like when we were still newbies," Stephanie joked smiling. They continue to chat until Robbie's manager informed her that she was late for her next appointment.

"I know you will never walk up to me to address me so I decided to bring myself to you," Victoria who just appeared out of nowhere said obstructing Stephanie's path.

"Welcome Vicky, I am glad you were able to lay your hands on a spare invitation card," Stephanie said keeping a safe distance from her. Her expression and tone showing she wasn't glad to see her there.

"I know you must be thrilled that your event went pretty well but I can see some of the reporters' are still here so I am not wrong to say it's not too late to do what I promised you, right?" Victoria asked taking steady steps towards her as she smirks devilishly.

"What are you trying to do now? I will advise you not to try anything stupid because everyone gazes are on us," Stephanie said staring at her. Dressed in a red gown she looks sexy with her curvy body but in terms of body figure and beauty, she lost to Stephanie that is why she hates Stephanie so much. Stephanie is always at the limelight without even trying while she always does everything possible to be noticed. Whenever she and Stephanie are present in the same event everyone always forgets about her existence and she loathes this.

"That will be more entertaining, don't you agree with me?" Vicky smiled halting when she was just an arm's reach from Stephanie. Stephanie was stunned when she did what she never expected. Victoria hugged her.

"Relax, I was just joking. Can't you take a joke anymore?" Victoria asked smirking devilishly as she unwrapped her hands around her body. Everyone who knew that both siblings were never in good terms were shocked to witness this scene. They were curious to know what Victoria Woods was up to.

"So cunning, I would have really fallen for your silly tricks if I did not know about your little scheme. I am sure my acting has fooled you too," Stephanie thought smiling within as she stares at her evil sister.

"You were joking?" Stephanie asked giving her a suspicious glare.

"Yes, that is why I suggest you should chill. I don't mean any harm, in fact, I am sincerely happy for the success of your launch," Victoria said still faking a smile at her. Although she seems so relaxed outside, she was boiling inside.

"Let's toast to your victory," Victoria said beckoning a waiter to bring the tray of drink to them.

"Cheers to the successful launching of purple magic. I can't wait to make use of it," Victoria said as they click classes. Stephanie only takes a sip out of the wine.

"Stop looking so suspicious. I did not poison or drug the wine," Victoria replied holding her left hand affectionately.

"I am not suspicious of you. As you know I have low alcohol tolerance so I can't drink more than the one I have done or I will get drunk," Stephanie said still holding unto the bottle of wine.

"Why are you so afraid of getting drunk. Big sister is here to take good care of you so don't worry," Victoria said sounding so caring.

"Big sister?" Stephanie exclaimed, surprised at what she just heard. She could not believe that her sister just agreed that she is her big sister.

"Yes, or are we no longer siblings again?" Victoria asked. "Oh come on, let's grab a bite. I am famished," Victoria exclaim excitedly grabbing hold of her right arm. She dragged her to a table and sat down with her legs crossed.

"Steph, my leg aches so badly. Can you get me something to eat? I don't need to tell you what to bring since you know my favourite dishes," Victoria said smiling sweetly at her.
