Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Your Music, Your Voice

After surviving imprisonment with those fiends, the bell rang on me. Bliss fell upon me while people left the room. Jishi appeared in the classroom door as he whispered "its time". Nodding in agreement, I stand up heading towards the door. Jishi scouted the halls as I sneaked through them.

As time passed, we reached the first floor. "Get into position" I said, entering the bathroom. Jishi rushing out through the main door. An enormous room with 6 toilet isles. Reaching the furthermost isle, I go inside it. Standing on the pure white toilet, I reach the giant window above it. Peeking through it, I see Jishi giving me the okay sign. Reassuring myself, I climb through it, diving headfirst. He embraced himself, rushing to me as I fell. Grabbing me by the shoulders, Jishi landed on his back, acting as a cushion for me. Even though my soul left my body many times over one. I trusted Jishi won't let me die. He grinned as I tried to breathe life back in me. Running behind the school, reaching the music room in unorthodox fashion.

As I dash through the main door unseen, Jishi following behind me. "You owe me for this entire ploy of yours" his voice sounding proud as he said that. This convoluted plan meant to avoid the people was my doing. I designed it after eating during recess, only for me to go unnoticed. I thank Jishi for this, although another part of me now lies terrified.

"We do this never again" my hands shaking their way into words. Jishi laughed as he whispered, "You bet your we're not". His childish eyes turned to give me a threatening gaze. My spine shivering as I averted my eyes. Turning to the piano with a smile crawling up my lips. Teleporting myself onto the stool, I look at Jishi, who took the violin in the room's corner.

"Hey lets play together today," the words shaking the air. A thrill ran wild through my body as I nodded. As I prepared to begin, the earlier feeling got shafted by the rustling behind me. I turn to see a helmet fall off the now broken window. My eyes flashed into yesterday's storm.

"Oh, no" I thought, the words echoing within me. I see her climbing through the window, not fearing any shards we might have missed cleaning.

"Hey~" the stench of her carefree voice filled the room. My eyes meet hers as my soul booked a flight for oblivion. Sometimes the underworld serves to be less frightening than constant trauma pondering. While the guy at hell's counter took his time to verify my ticket, Jishi turned to look at Ray.

"Okay, why?" his voice tired with a hint of annoyed spreading through the room.

"Because I really liked the song yesterday, it helps me relax too," Ray's unshackled voice tipped Jishi off as he sighed.

"Don't you have practice or something, shoo," at this point he gave up trying to find any reason behind her. His eyes had a tired glow as he hinted at the door.

"But you wouldn't just kick out a lady who wants to listen to some music, would you?" Her arrogant tone slipped into Jishi's ears as his eyes lost all glow.

"Sorry, but I'm an advocate of equal rights, so being a girl is of no importance to me," Ray backed off, her golden eyes rippling in shock. Untying her hair, she turned to me with a malicious grin on her face.

"He is so mean, would you help me?" Grabbing me by the shoulder, her words slipped right into the implant. My passport being rejected at hell's door, I see her hand, and then look her in the eye. I waited a few seconds, for no reason. The clock ticked over the room's sound proofed walls.

"Hey, can't you see your bothering here!!" Jishi yelled at her which made her jump back in fright.

"Of course no-" her words cut as he saw the tears stream down my cheeks. Her marbled face turning pale as she then stuttered her way into vowing.

"I..I.. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, it's just that..." her carefree voice now tainted in both shame and desire. As if a great sorrow filled her words as she pursed her lips before opening them again.

"I wanted to hear you play, because it feels like the notes in the piano carry more than just sound in them. Its like they carry your voice rather than just music,". Her words shook something within me, I don't know why. But her voice, filled with this weight behind it, made me forget about my fear towards her. Looking her in the eye, they shined in an honest glow. Cleaning the tears off my cheeks, I step towards the piano. Raising my hands, begging for silence as a smile placed itself on my lips.
