Chapter 160: Chapter 160

After meeting with a few more nobles, the trumpets signaling for the participants to gather in the clearing. Father was geared up in his black armor and a black cloak hung on his back with Khamgaalagch hanging on his waist. He looked rather calm and composed like a real veteran warrior.

We went out and stood on the side while the knights and nobles who are participating in the event stood in the middle of the clearing. Except for the Knights of Noktis, who were wearing their black armors, only the king and the crown prince were wearing a different color, gold armors. The other knights and nobles, and even the royal knights were wearing shiny silver armors.

Cliché.

The king gave some self-centered opening speech and officially started the hunt. The other nobles started cheering while the king approached the queen and offered her sword to her. The queen took out a handkerchief and tied it around the king's wrist, a sign that she wishes him good luck, then the king kissed her hand and stood in front of his knights.

Some nobles and knights followed after the king, offering their swords to their wives or lovers. Of course, father did the same and offered his sword to mother, who in turn, tied her handkerchief around his wrist. But instead of kissing her on the hand, my father kissed her on the lips.

Ew.

I and my sisters all looked away with disgusted expressions, especially Athy.

"Incoming.." Sebastiene whispered softly making all three of us looked in front.

The crown prince was heading our way with a confident smile on his face.

"Oh please!" Athy muttered sarcastically.

When I saw the prince's eyes locked on me, a cold glint passed my eyes and I gave out a lazy smile.

Seeing my smile, the prince smiled even wider.

'B!tch you thought.'

With the smile still plastered on my face, I let out a very strong bloodlust that aimed directly at the approaching prince, one that only he could feel.

The prince froze mid-step as he felt the intense bloodlust. Sweat started to trickle down his face as it turned deathly pale. Sensing my adamant dislike towards what he was planning, he coolly changed his direction and offered his sword to a ginger-headed lady who looked like she was about to faint from happiness.

"Niceu!" Athy gave me a thumbs up as she imitated how her favorite idols spoke.

I smirked and winked at her.

"Uhmm.. Sis, we have a problem." Uriel whispered beside me, she was smiling but I could hear the desperation in her tone.

I looked in front and saw a couple knights approaching us and I could feel my skin crawl.

"Seb, stop them." I whisper-ordered my butler.

Sebastiene still had his smile on when he shook her head lightly at the young knights who immediately backed off.

"At least your idiot demon has some uses." Athy commented on the side, though her tone was mocking.

"I'm always at your service, lady Athanasia." Sebastiene replied to her with a bow.

"No thanks, I have my own butler." Athy replied not giving Sebastiene a glance.

Sebastiene merely smiled and I shook my head.

'They'll never stop.'

I looked at the Knights of Noktis, besides father, there was Haktor, Marionne and five other knights who were chosen for the hunt. They were chosen in accordance with their experience and abilities that match a hunting team. They were all standing still, not moving an inch from where they stood during the king's speech.

"Take care of your mother." Father suddenly spoke to us. "I really feel uneasy here, like something bad will happen."

"Hey! Don't jinx us!" Athy grumbled.

"You should be the one to take extra care while hunting father. We can take care of mother." Uriel assured him.

"Un." Father nodded and gave each of us a kiss on the head before going back to stand in front of our knights. He put on his helmet and mounted his horse, all of our knights followed him.

"The hunt shall now begin!" The king bellowed declared as he put on his helmet and galloped into the forest.

The other groups followed the kings lead and galloped into the forest, including father and his group. We stood there and watched them disappear behind the trees. When they disappeared, the queen went back to their tent with the second prince and the other ladies did the same too.

"Mother, you should go back to the tent and rest for some time before going to have tea with the other noble ladies." I suggested to my mother who was still staring at the edge of the forest.

"Yeah." She nodded and we started walking back to our tent.

Upon arriving at the tent, Astrid immediately gave mother some water to drink and took off her shoes. Astrid and the other maids started to massage her feet. Standing for some time outside in her heels, her foot must be sore.

"Your grace, would you like to change to a new dress?" Astrid asked. "The hem of your skirt is now dirty, the other ladies at the tea time might make fun of it."

"Okay." Mother nodded. "Find me something light."

"Get the yellow dress we had designed for her." Uriel suggested. "It's light and unique, it's also easy to move in but still looks elegant. It would definitely cause jealousy among the noble ladies."

"True." I agreed. "Mother would look amazing in it with her blond hair.

The maids nodded and went to take out the dress. We all went out, leaving mother and her maids inside to change. Klent stood outside to guard at the door, he was chosen to be mother's personal guard today.

"Commander.." I greeted him when I walked out.

"My ladies.." He greeted back with a megawatt smile. "It's a good time to take a walk behind the camp, there is a clearing not too deep into the forest and there are a lot of small animals and birds scurrying around."

"I'll pass, I was invited to tea by lady Aya, I'll go meet her." Uriel declined as she walked out of the tent, dressed in a new set of clothes.

"I'll pass as well." Athy replied as she raised her hand towards Loki who immediately picked her up and walked towards the horses.

"I will also decline as I have a mission to accomplish." Sebastiene smiled at me, bowed and disappeared in thin air.

"Well, I guess it's only me who's going to go sightseeing." I shrugged. "Thanks for the information commander Klent."

"My pleasure, my lady." Klent replied with a bow.

Sebastiene and I walked to the back of our camp and came upon a wide clearing filled with wild flowers and luscious green grass.

"Amazing." I whispered.

"It is, isn't it?" A voice suddenly replied.

I spun around and saw no one behind me.

What the?
