Chapter 5: The Headgirl
Lilly pushed the girl gently." Akiko, we have a guess" she smiles as she darted her eyes in my direction. Akiko's expression went from happy to panic very quickly.
"what's wrong all you did was kiss her" I said assuming that they were in a relationship.
"yes, but relations between the same sex is prohibited" Akikio said with a frown
"well your secret safe with me "I said with a smile which made Akiko happy as she leaped at me and wrapped her arms around me. Lilly and Akiko met and how it was incredibly lucky she was transferred when she did as her last roommate was a nightmare.
It was getting close to midnight that I left their room as they wanted to do something in private before sleep. Walking down the corridor I started thinking how two women have relations. I was about to walk down the stairs when I look out the window the moonlight bouncing off the massive waterfall.
Suddenly I felt faint that I had to hold onto the wall. A voice no louder than a whisper called to me for some strange reason it sounded like it was coming from the waterfall, I opened the latch and pushed the window open. To my amazement there was a low humming noise coming from the waterfall as it stops, I heard someone coming behind me.
"YOU" a familiar voice shouted. I quickly shut the window and turn around it was April still, in her uniform. "what are you doing out at this hour" she said in a demanding voice.
"well what are you doing out" I answered back feeling rather witty.
April did not feel the same as she exclaimed, she was the head girl, so she must check to see if everyone was in their rooms. I told her abut the waterfall she steps back in astonishment. She led me down the corridor repeating like five hundred times that I better not be pulling her leg. We got to the end of the long corridor there was a room and the gold plate read April walker head girl.
"what are we doing at your room" I asked nervously
"we'll all the teachers are in the teachers house and we can't leave the grounds" she said as she opened the door leading inside. "you will sleep here tonight can't have you wandering the school" she said as she went to her plain closet in fact everything in the room was plain and dull.
"wait there's only one bed "I said wondering if I would have to sleep on the cold wooden floor.
"so" she replied throwing me a blanket "I'm sharing my bed with you not a blanket" she said with a stern voice
I replied with is there a difference and in response she rolled her eyes and told me to avert mine. I had no clue what that meant but she started to take off her jumper I quickly guess I turned around and look at her trophy cabinet it was full of trophies, medals and pictures of her with a women who must have been her mother.
" you can look now" she said in a tired voice as she yawned, I turned around and she was in a plain nightdress and for the first time I noticed that her breast were like boulders, I felt myself get flushed and quickly looked back at her eyes before she noticed as it was rude to stare at women's breasts so the nuns always told us.
"are you coming to sleep or not" she said already in the blanket. On one hand I cannot believe I have to sleep to this nag and on the other hand I get to sleep in a cosy bed, so I got in slowly and wrapped myself in the blanket.
The next day I was abruptly woken. Quickly April screamed as I barely was able to get my boots on as she dragged me through the school to the headmistress office. April then I recapped last nights events. She looked like she was going to pop a blood vessel.
"don't be foolish girl" she yelled at April Bareilly acknowledging me at all "now go run them errands in set and take that thing with you" she glances daggers through me as April lead me out. Once out the door I asked what the errands where then my heart fell into my boots as I learned that I would have to spend the entire day in the nearby city with her.
"so how long will it take to ride there" I asked miserably
"ride don't be stupid" she snarled as she led me down a hill onto a stone platform
We were taking a train I tried not to get to excited next to mis nags a lot, but I loved traveling by train. After a few minutes I could see how the steam from the steam engine as dark green and brown train appeared in view the screech of the brakes could be heard from miles.no one got off as we got on and it was mostly empty.
April keep walking past the poor parts and into the upper carriage's life is easier if you're not in debt she said to me as we finally found seats she liked. I sat down on the seat in front of her and the first thing she does is take out a book, she handed me one too.
I read the blurb on the back and found it amusing that the main character had the same name as me. I read the first chapter but could not concentrate as I wondered how she knew about the debt that my master had I finally mustered up the courage to ask.
"how di you know about the debt" I asked in a demanding voice
April put her book down looking visible annoyed that I interrupted her reading. "my mother told me she learns everything about the men that come into her academy" she said quickly and went back to her book.
