Chapter 2: Chapter 1

It wasn't always like this. Life in the Lenbrough household was fun before. We didn't always live in a crappy apartment that could barely even fit three people.

Everything. We had everything.

When I was merely a toddler I remember having myself loving parents, a huge mansion and hectares of land property , a happy family, everything. But that everything went downhill the moment the police found out that the Lenbrough Family business involved a huge amount of drugs and human trafficking. I had just turned twelve the first time I saw someone- my uncle Ben and grandpa- getting handcuffed by the police on our own household.

It all went topsy-turvy after that. Our company was forced for closure and suffered many cases in which my parents were obliged to take the responsibility for. We had more than a million dollar debt at the end of the case. My dad clearly unemployed and frustrated turned to liquor and women to forget the horrible embarrassment my grandfather and uncle bestowed upon us. My mother? Well she left us to starve the moment she saw my dad naked with a whore on their own bed.

I've lost all my companions too, I wouldn't call them my friends considering the interactions we made were purely because they were our workers children.

My suffering didn't end there. At the age of 13 I started hearing voices on my head talking to me of how miserable my life has become of. Few months after that, I would see things outside my window, shadows with red eyes watching me while I lay next to all my brothers as we all share one bed. The look on my brothers faces can't be masked when I had told them about it. They were thinking I was probably delusional due to all the trauma and isolation I had gotten from my peers and also the fact that we live on the tenth floor, how could there be a human who could possibly climb that high?.

My delusions got worse to the point I was almost badly beaten up by my own father after hearing too much of my stupidity. My brothers protected me from our dad so they'd get mostly beaten up in my position and I'd usually be the one to pour alcohol on their bruises, as well as on mine.

My oldest brother, Luther, -who thankfully finished a degree in criminology before all of this chaos started- was mostly the one helping with the funds. Lucas, the second oldest, an insurance agent would pay for the electricity bills and for the food. Then there's me, Luke and Leon, the triplets, we'd usually sell newspapers early in the morning to at least help our siblings with the funding. But no matter how much we all work our asses of, we could barely spare enough money for other things. When we did spare enough for the first time, we used them all up for my check-up which was my siblings' decision. What we heard from the psychiatrist shocked us.

The doctor said it was a case of childhood schizophrenia and that it would disappear eventually.

But sadly it didn't.

It didn't disappear, it worsened.

Then the doctor gave me this candy that I would use regularly because he says it would help lessen my insanity. It did help with keeping the chaos at bay. Chaos- that's what I call them. The voices that drowns me and follows me everywhere. But it's alright, they'll leave eventually like everyone did in my life so far.
