Chapter 14: Line A- Part 2
It was peaceful, and calm in the metro. The subway line was up and running, transporting cephalopods to where they needed to be. Kai and Niki were still peacefully sleeping and dreaming about the day the had just experienced.
There was a small rustle coming from The side of the train that Niki was in, she woke up. Niki rubbed her eyes and saw that Kai was still sleeping peacefully. She got up, put her ink tank on, and walked to the next subway car.
While she was walking through the cars, she saw a window that showed the outside. It was bright out, but the neon lights showed the plastic-like surfaces below them. She glanced one last time at the outside and walked to the next car.
Captain Cuttlefish was snoring as loud as a foghorn and C.Q. was at the front of the train. Niki shrugged it off, and held up her C.Q device. She clicked a button and was transported to her first level.

Kai woke up after a peaceful night's rest and went to go and greet Captain Cuttlefish, C.Q, and Niki. After arriving in the car, he realized that Niki was nowhere in sight. He shrugged it off and greeted Captain Cuttlefish.
"Well good morning Agent 9! I'm glad you're awake!" Captain Cuttlefish greeted Kai.
"Well thank you, Captain! I am glad too! By the way, have you or C.Q seen Niki?" Kai looked around the train to see If they were hiding somewhere.
"Nope! But I'm sure she is fine!"
A crackle, snap, and pop was heard from a phone that the captain had stored away in his pocket.
"Huh, this thing is working?" Captain Cuttlefish grabbed the phone thing. "Agent Three? Come in Agent Three!" he yelled into it.
"Agent Three? Why does that sound familiar-" Kai was cut off.
"MIC CHECK, ONE-TWO. WHO THE HECK ARE YOU?!" Kai shrieked and fell back, crashing into the seats behind him.
"Ow."
"Um, excuse me?" Captain Cuttlefish looked shocked.
"Pearl, didn't anyone teach you to respect your elders?" Another voice said. This one more soft than the other.
"What? Who the heck am I speaking to? I thought this was Agent Three! State your names!"
"Um, you first dude!" Pearl said.
"Wow, I like her! She's funny," Kai said as he is still laying on the floor.
"Why thank you, other dude! I'm Pearl or MC Princess!"
"Why does that sound familiar? Anyway, I'm Kai! Or Agent 10,009? Or agent 9- Oh! You can call me..." his voice trailed off as he thought about more nicknames.
"Me deets! I'm short and sweet! I spit fire make posers perspire! Step to my game? I'll bring the pain. I'm never shook because I'm OFF THE HOOK!"
Kai sat up, "Wait a minute you can rap?!"
"Hey, are you stepping up to me?" Captain Cuttlefish said. "MC Craig in the house!"
"Excuse me?" Kai looked at the new "MC Craig", a bit of confusion and wonder in his eyes.
"Call me Cap'n Cuttlefish, but not because I cuddle fish. Smooth like butter bet you wish that you could stunt a flow like this!"
"Wait- I wanna join! Hello, my name is Kai, and don't you worry about my flow, and I won't ever quit in case you didn't know! While I'm here rapping fast you're there rapping slow. And you won't ever stop me! Try and I'll take you down real low!"
"Alright enough you three!" The other voice said. "Mr. Cuttlefish was it? We found a radio here and heard your transmission. We are currently on Mount Nantai. Where are you calling from?"
"Could you tell us your name first?" Captain Cuddlefish asked.
"Oh, my name is Marina, so now that you know my name can you answer the question? Please?"
"Oh yeah right, wait, isn't Mount Nantai near Octo Valley? Agent 7, 9, and I were near there, but someone took us underground."
"I see..... So you don't know where you are... I'm so sorry, But don't worry! From now on you will have me! Marina, aka DJ_Hyperfresh here to support you!"
"Really cool! New friend!" Kai's eyes lit up, a smile plastered onto his face.
"I'll get to work and try to analyze your surroundings so we can find you!"
"I really don't know what's going on but we'll support you!" Pearl said.
"Well then, thanks for your help!" Captain Cuttlefish said.
"Yeah, thank you!" Kai blurted out.
"Now time for you to pass some tests!"
"Wait what?" The radio cut out before there was an answer.
Kai stood there for a moment, thinking about where Niki could be located. She hadn't seen all morning. Could she have gotten hurt? As if she heard his thoughts, Niki walked through the subway door.
"Hey, I'm back!" Niki walked in nonchalant.
"What?! Where did you go!?" Kai asked her.
"Oh! I went to go and finish a few of the tests, and now I also have a plan to retrieve all the Thangs!"
"What? Really? How- I mean did you complete all of them?"
"Yep!"
"Wow! Now tell me all about your plan!"
"We will each do a certain type of level! You will do the more practical levels such as the grind rail levels, and the 8 ball levels."
"Those are a thing?"
"Yes! Oh, and I will be doing all the combat levels."
"Awww, you got all the hard stuff!"
"Trust me, I didn't. I just wanted to give you a break from combat."
"Aww okay then."
"Well anyway. I'm going to take a nap. It was tiring completing all of them, but it was barely a challenge. You can start the next line, I'm going to go and rest." Niki set down her ink tank, and laid down in the resting car while Kai completed his share of the tests.
