Chapter 4: First Quest (Part 2)
Having taken out the two bodyguards, Mary proceeded to point his gun at their group leader.
"You son of bitch you dare!" Having seen Mary killing his bodyguard so fast the group leader was stunned, as he didn't expect her to react like this from one phone call.
"What, what happens?" he asked with a shaky voice.
"Don't act like you don't know. You send people to my orphanage."
"What? Wait! Wait! I didn't do it, I would never do that."
As she knew him for a long time she was having a hard time deciding to kill him or not "Damn it, Give me your phone" As he laid down on the floor afraid he gave her his phone. Upon searching it she discovered nothing. Dropping his phone on the ground she proceeds to search his minions, after searching the second phone she discovers an outgoing text informing someone else that she had left the orphanage.
"Why?" She yelled as she put the phone in front of his face, showing the text to him.
"This... I, they… they were sent with me by the boss. You know I wouldn't do anything like that."
"You're telling me that you didn't know?"
"They didn't tell me anything, they knew that I wouldn't be with this."
"FUCK" she yells as she throws the phone away. "Tell them that I will be coming for them." She finally said as she walked out of the warehouse. Upon walking on the street she stood in place, wondering what to do next. As she stood there for about 5 minutes a car suddenly came to a stop in front of her. As she was in a state of panic she immediately pulled her gun out and pointed it toward the car.
"Hey, hey it's me," Alex said As the window came down.
"You can drive!!"
"That surprises you! anyway, get in we have to leave.
"You're going to have to switch seats, I am the one driving."
After getting in the car Mary immediately drove off.
"So, what do you plan to do with the thugs in front of the Orphanage?"
"I don't know, dump them in the ocean or something. By the way, was that the first time you kill?"
"Oh, no."
"Wait, you killed before?"
"No not that, they are still alive."
"I thought you killed them."
"I said I took care of them, I only knocked them out."
"Anyway, how did you find me?"
"Of course I knew your meeting place."
"You've been following me?"
"Of course not… Ikaros did."
"Who?"
"Oh, I will present you to him later."
After a few minutes of driving they reach the orphanage. Not wasting any time Alex helps Mary load the bodies in the car. As they were done looking to her left, Mary discovered the other car. "What about this car?"
"I like it." The car they were referring to was a muscle car.
"You serious."
"Yeah."
After staring at Alex for a few seconds she decides to give in. "Guest this will be his reward for defending the orphanage'
"Anyway, what are you going to do? Do you want to take care of those bodies with me?��
"Oh, I am going to wipe out a gang."
"Pff what." She said as she started laughing but she had to stop upon seeing Alex's serious face as this was the first time he got serious since she knew him which basically was his entire life.
"All of this is getting more dangerous than I would like. So I have decided to take care of this myself. I also went to see how far I can go."
"You know that I can let you do that."
"Sigh, What about this, you can test me."
"Are you being serious?"
"..."
"..."
Upon confirmation, Alex and Mary proceed to stare at each other in a standoff. In a swift movement that she had effectuated a bunch of times, she tried to pull out her gun but just when she pulled it out of her back she had to stop, as there was a spear tip touching her throat.
"What!! Wait!"
"Alright now that we are done with this, I got stuff to take care so see you later." As she saw that he was about to leave she wanted to stop him but before she was able to, Alex whistled. Just as she was about to ask him why he did so she heard a horse neigh in the distance, as it came running toward them. Upon getting on it he left, disappearing in the distance.
While watching Alex leaving she had even more questions. Where did he get the spear? where the fuck did the horse came from and more importantly, why was it on fire?
