Chapter 2: The chasers
I ran outside of the ice cream shop holding my head. The ice cream man got frozen and so did the old man. Whatever that was.... Was it contagious?
I saw people around the shop but not their normal selves, they were all frozen too. They were just like them too.
I came across a little girl wearing pigtails in a running position, but she stood still. She looked like an ice doll with no flesh. I cleansed the little snow roaming on her hand but that just made me realized how cold she was.How cold everyone around me was...
I suddenly remembered Ford, he was there on the bench, he might help me. Without wasting a second I ran to that bench. The bench stood right there but empty. Ford wasn't there, neither was any sign of him.
"FORD..." I yelled several times but no response.I only hoped he was okay...
That place was giving me chills and me staying there one more minute could lead to anxiety and depression since I was a pretty sensitive girl.
Home..Mom...Dad were the only ones I could think of while heading back to my house.Explaining them what I just saw and how worried I was about Ford and about all those people...
I stood beside a tree half way and thought about what I just saw. Was it a dream?
Suddenly a car stopped in front of me, A big black car. I tried to look at the people inside, to see if they were fine. But all I saw was the black net blocking view inside.
I ignored the car and continued walking. As soon as I took one step, two guys rushed out of the car towards me. That horrified scene made me run, I don't know why I ran but they scared me.
The guys ran behind me and I ran faster towards my house.
"MOM..." I yelled as I came close to my house.
I looked behind to find out that they were still chasing me.
The door of my house was already open. I ran inside and closed the door locking it twice.
