Chapter 15: 15

Making his way towards the meeting location, Aoi felt his heart becoming more unsteady. The quickened pace along with the lack of sleep made his already pale face, paled even more. Feeling uncomfortable and ill at ease.

It wasn't until Aoi had managed to get to the location of their 'meet up', that he finally wasn't sure if he could really go through with this ah! His mind swirled as he leaned against the glass just before the door. His vision fading as he tried to calm his rushing heart, and quickening breath.

The more Aoi tried to calm down, the worse his condition seemed to get. His legs slowly began to tremble before giving out completely. The rush of the air around him, as he fell, caused Aoi's mind to completely shut down.

With an alert mind, the youth found himself weakly laying against the glass he'd rested on before. There was no sound, sight or anything. Just darkness. Surrounding him completely without ever seeming to let go. The numbing emptiness was more than enough to chill Aoi completely as he tried to process what was happening.

It wasn't until Aoi felt something pressing against his face, that Aoi realized that he wasn't alone. His body was still limp as he just leaned there, unable to move even a single finger. Another panic began to grow as Aoi realized he couldn't utter a single sound, nor was he able to open his eyes.

His mind was beginning to fade back into that empty darkness again, making him want to struggle, but it was as if he were being dragged and pulled down by invisible threads.

Unknowing as to how long he was lost within this darkness that gripped him completely. Aoi slowly began to drift between being lucid and not. The time in this state made it feel as if it would never end, forever drawing on and this was going to be his life now. The state of never being able to move, open his eyes, or even utter a single gasp made his soul tremble.

With great difficulty, Aoi finally managed to stir his mind back from the brink of collapse, finally forcing his body to react again.

With his eyes forcing themselves open, he sat up gasping while looking around in a startled panic. His gaze moved around the unknown room, feeling his heart sped up again as he once more trembled with the fear of the unknown. It wasn't until the shadow next to him, moved, that Aoi finally was able to figure out where he was.

"Hello, are you Okay? You've been a sleep for quiet a while..." the male stated as he moved to check some 'vitals'. Aoi's eyes slowly watered as he turned his gaze away, looking around to confirm that he was in fact at the hospital.

Being as the male hadn't spoken, the doctor coughed again as he moved to sitting next to the bed, crossing his arms over his chest. "So, would like to explain how someone can be passed the point of exhaustion that their body would shut down?" the tone was that of scolding.

Aoi shrunk back as he bit his lower lip, turning his head away as he refused to comment. His heart was still fluttering from the panic and fright from the whole ordeal. Besides, how could he explain ah? That no mater how he tried, the youth couldn't sleep for more than an hour or two at a time? Even that was rare!

The doctor shook his head as he let out a deep sigh, leaning back as he pulled out his phone to send a message out. Aoi lowered his head and began to sneak peeks at him. Feeling oddly nervous as to what he should do, did doctors normal hang out with patients like this ah? Go! Shoo!

Looking up, the larger male gave a steady gaze, his expression was still one of idle scolding. "You realize you did almost die yeah? Your heart was about to stop..." he stated. "you've also been asleep for the past 12 hours." he added.

Aoi blinked as he finally looked up at the doctor blankly. That long? But...he didn't feel rested?

As if seeing his confusion, the doctor rolled his eyes. "Your body gave out. With your heart almost giving out and stopping, as well as the other factors, I'm surprised you even woke up as it is now. Honestly I had thought you'd sleep for the next week."

Aoi knitted his brows as he looked down at his hands, fiddling his fingers together. "Sorry..." he finally said. Though he didn't know what had happened, the male before him did honestly seem to care about his health. It was odd...

"No worries. The one who had found you, seemed to have some medical knowledge. Saying you passed out just outside a restaurant." he stated. This comment made Aoi blush slightly embarrassed as he shifted to curl up. This was to much to take in ah?

"You can rest up for now. But we'll need to start doing more test here soon now that you've woken up. As to figure out if there's any other complications.." The doctor spoke, his tone still neutral.

Aoi just nodded before he peeked back up at the doctor, feeling a bit flustered still. The doctor gave a few more comments before also leaving his name in cause the youth needed anything else.

Now that he was alone again, Aoi was able to process a bit easier. His mind going over what he'd been doing before he'd 'passed' out. This was embarrassing ah? It wasn't until he realized that the meeting had been just about to start, that he passed out that Aoi sat up in a startle. He reached over to the side were his bag was left, grabbing it to search, finally pulling out his tablet for school.

Pulling open the settings, Aoi quickly signed into the wifi before opening Weibo and sending a message.

[[V1RUS]]: I'm really sorry! Something happened and I couldn't come....

It was after this that he finally saw the messages about how a few others weren't able to show. It seemed that his 'pass' out had caused some kind of issue?? The place he passed out led to the a few appointments being 'canceled' due to the medical emergency that temperately blocked the entrance.

With the many other messages claiming the same, the group had agreed to making a new 'meeting' later on when time was more suitable.

Letting out a relieved sigh, Aoi glanced over the new comments of understanding before he said his goodbyes and logged back out. Moving to lay back down and gaze at the wall. It seemed he wouldn't be able to leave here for a while, but there was no way he'd be able to go back to sleep. This was upsetting.
