Chapter 26: Supreme Starlight ～☆

"Why is she not picking up her phone! Doesn't she know how important this is! This could cost her her whole company." Ashely thought as she went to the board meeting room.

*bang* The door was slammed open by Ashley as she stormed in angrily.

"What do you think you are doing now!!"

Ashley almost shouted at them. It was not as if she was not respecting them right now, but it was because she had that power to show her disrespect towards them.

In the company, Maya held most of the power, some side decisions could be made by Lucas, but that was it. The main power holder was Maya herself. She was Maya's Special Assistant, that is why she held great responsibilities and respect in the company.

"Assistant Ashley!" Few of the members suddenly stood up. All of them knew how devious this lady here could be. Ashely was an ace manager in the entertainment industry before leaving the field and following Maya to build up this company; she was also one of the main founders of 'Supreme Starlight'. She was only in her late twenties, but Ashely had a rich experience in managing.

Suddenly they started to regret choosing Lucas over Maya. How would they be dealt with, if their unfaithfulness was caught by her?

Lucas, who's presence was almost nothing compared to her signalled Mr. Collins; the man who was sold out, to do something.

Mr. Collins then hesitantly stood up and looked at Ashley as he raised his voice and said, "M-miss Ashely today, all of us, have gathered here to an emergency meeting to dismiss the current CEO of the company!" He sounded so righteous that people might just think that it was Maya and Ashely who were bullying them and were using their rights for wrong purposes.

All the other members looked at Mr. Collins with great shock! How could he say that it was a joint decision!? The meeting had not even started yet! Without getting their votes how can he dare to talk to Ashley so rashly?

Meanwhile Maya, who had woken up by around 9 am and was pleasantly surprised to see Aiden still present there. She had thought that like yesterday he will be gone when she will wake up.

"You did not go to your work?" The sentence came out so fluently that she felt a bit weird. She had just woken up and asking such a question felt like..... she quickly dismissed t her thoughts as she asked him again, "What is the time now?"

Aiden who was enjoying all this said with a smile, "It is nine in the morning.... Get up. I have already brought the breakfast."

Maya got up did her morning stuff within around twenty minutes and now she was having breakfast with Aiden.

Again Maya was wearing the clothes provided by Aiden. "I have sent your previous clothes for drycleaning, will send them back to you later on once they are done with it. Okay?"

Maya nodded as she replied, "Yes it's okay.... and I have to give you your coat back as well. how should I give it back or where should I send it?"

"Umm..." before Aiden could answer her, they heard the doorbell ringing rapidly.

As soon as Aiden opened the door, Sofia hurriedly came inside as she said loudly, "I am so sorry brother-in-law to destroy your sweet time with sister!! But Maya! There is something important that you need to know. That Lucas is holding an emergency board meeting. The meeting is to dismiss you as the CEO of the company!"

"What!?" both Maya and Aiden exclaimed.

"Yes. I just got a call from Ashely. She said that she couldn't reach you and thats why she called me. You should hurry up. I think Ashley said that meeting will begin soon!"

"I will get the car ready. Let me drop you!" Aiden said as he took his car keys. Maya also stood up as she took her important belongings, "Yeah thanks."

Both of them were in the car, Aiden was driving as he said apologetically, "I am so sorry Maya, it is my fault. Today morning I had seen that Lucas had called you but I thought that it would be better if you ignored him and rejected his calls. I think Ashley must also have called you in between, it must have been to inform you about this mess."

Thankfully there was not much traffic as both of them reached very soon.

"It is okay you don't need to mind. That guy deserves to be ignored. hahaha. It's alright. So I will be leaving now. Thanks." Maya said as she got out with a smile.

Maya turned around to see the building, it was Ashely, Lucas, she herself and some others who had build this company. When they had decided the name 'Supreme Starlight' for the company, they had thought that one day they will the supreme figures of this industry together. She scoffed as she thought of their past selves.

With her head held high, she entered the company.
