Chapter 106: A familiar number...

"Hello, auntie?" 

"Huh?" Maya came back from her thoughts when she heard the driver call her. 

"I'm asking, are you sure this is the area you want me to drop you at?"

"Yeah- yes!" Maya quickly scanned the QR code in front of her seat and paid the driver. 

Just before she got out, Maya realized something devastating…. "Did you just- What did you just call me m-mister?!"

It was now that Maya realized how young the driver looked. 

It's not a case of under age driving is it? He looked as if he were a teenager! 

"Um, aunt-- Actually I was asking if you wanted a ca- uh yes! Do you want candy?" As he quickly corrected himself, the young boy took out a pink colored wrapper from his pocket and lifted his hand to give it to Maya.

Maya didn't know why but she accepted the candy, only to see it getting completely scrunched between her fingers.

*crunch* 

It was an empty wrapper.

Maya: "...."

Young man: "...."
