The first idea I thought of is Ye Lian remembered how she was bitten and turned into a monster. Is that why she is now so brutal against them? Is she regaining her memories? It's a good thing, to be honest. I like this Ye Lian, but she deserves freedom. However, I believe she will remain clingy like now.
While I called out her name, Ye Lian is holding lifting a zombie using her delicate hand. Hearing my voice, she turned to face me and gave me a gorgeous smile as she crushed the head of a zombie. As a gamer like me, witnessing a pretty girl crushing the head of a zombie made my heart skip a beat.
"Onii-chan, should I help to collect the Gels?"
Killing the last zombie, Alice asked while looking at the crushed skull of a supposed to be human. Her gaze did not change as she looked at the corpse casually.
Girls of the same age as Alice should be enjoying with her family and friends. However, the world she is living in is now changed. I want to show her how to adjust to this kind of situation while Alice is still young.
It's not like I'm forcing her to fight, but people will take advantage of Alice if she develops into a frail girl in this apocalypse.
But surprisingly, she endured this much, and I consider like she's mature than usual girls in her age. Anyhow, it's not like Im going to let other people get close to the girls. Oh my? Did I grow possessive to them like back in my world?
As always, I wiped off the blood and sweat that is covering Ye Lian's body. Then, I carried Alice in my arms while approaching the girl at the top of the tree.
"Are you fine there? How did you even manage to climb on a tall tree..."
Standing nearby the tree, the three of us wondered how a delicate and little body of hers succeeded in climbing up there.
"Im fine because you saved me... I also know how to fight, but..." the girl said and glanced at her foot, it is bleeding, not because it was bitten, but because of shattered glass.
"It is a big wound Onii-chan, She might be very hurt," Alice spoke while looking at the girl in concern while Ye Lian nodded her head. The girl somehow pushed herself to climb up; that is why her wound is getting worst.
Also, this heartbeat of mine is getting quicker as I looked at the little girl. Im not a lolicon, okay? But she's a maiden and the bond I felt right now... Im sure it's not just me. This girl as well is looking at me as if we already know each other.
"Don't worry, I'll help you cover the wound but first, jump off that tree, I promise to catch you."
"But... Okay."
She is hesitant at first and then nodded her head. She must have remembered what Im capable of a moment ago. Closing her eyes, she exhaled and dropped her body from the branch. I weakly jumped to catch her, and as she settled at my embrace, she quickly encircled her arms around my neck.
"Here we go, but dont let go, for now, you are still not capable of walking."
"Y-yes," She answered with an adorable stutter, and her gaze still not move away from my face. In truth, my first impression of her is like a tomboyish girl.
We walked further away from the dead zombies because the smell is starting to bother us. I can endure it but not the girls with me. But before we left, we collected all the gels. I won't leave a single one.
Settling on the ground, I let the girl rested her back on a wall, we are still exposed to the streets, but Ye Lian is killing the zombies that are approaching us. At the same time, Alice is adorably safeguarding us in caution while showing a very cute threatening face looking around.
"I'm going to touch your feet, okay?"
"Yes..."
I tried to sound as calm as possible, and this wound must have been really painful, but the adrenaline rushed she must have experienced lately somehow erased the pain temporarily because of the situation.
The tone she answered right now confirmed how much it hurts her. She gritted her teeth while she started to sweat heavily.
"Onii-Chan, let me help. Lian-Oneechan already defeated all of them, so no need to guard up."
Alice kneeled at the girl's left side and asked for the towel. She wiped her sweat while the girl is getting paler and paler.
`The only solution is to use a skill, huh?` I deemed and closed my eyes while setting my palm over the wound without touching it.
"Maximize... Heal." a yellow magic circle appeared that made the two little girls amazed. Ye Lian already knows what Im capable of, and she didn't show any kind of reaction, but her gaze still looked she is engaged by it.
The wound is progressively closing while the stain of dried blood vanished from her soft a delicate foot. It took only a few seconds before the wound finally disappeared.
