Chapter 11: CHAPTER 10

Samantha's POV:

After reaching my room, I quickly go towards my closet and bring out the clothes I am going to wear for today.

I get changed and start to brush my hair. As I am doing so, I begin to wonder about all the incidents that happened a few minutes ago.

That was the first time both mom and dad shouted at me like that. It was honestly so scary.

I don't get it though. Why would they think that I was taking drugs? And they didn't even think of asking me before accusing me for something they don't even know about.

"I guess they don't trust me after all..." I sigh and put my hair brush down.

I grab my sketch book and pencils from my study table and sit in my room's corner.

I open the sketchbook and begin to draw whatever comes to my mind. It's something that I always had. Whenever I am drawing, I don't particularly plan on a something specific. My hands become like another body part and they draw whatever they want. I just go with the flow.

"Hey." I flinch hearing someone's voice suddenly. I take my eyes off the drawing and look up. I see that it was Sammy. I guess I was so absorbed in drawing that I didn't notice Sammy entering the room.

"Oh, hey." I reply with a smile.

It seems quite for some reason. I ask Sammy if my parents are home or not

He told me that they already went out for their jobs. Strange. I thought they took a day off today. Maybe an emergency came or something.

Sammy's voice brings me out of my thoughts. I soon notice that he has a plate full of pancakes. Wait aren't those his?

As I was about to stay whether those were his or not, he beats me to it and replies, "What's mine is also yours. And besides, for some reason, I couldn't really enjoy it knowing that you would be starving yourself."

"Thanks." I tell him with a smile. The smile that I only show him. And he also knows about it.

"Huh? I am offended." Shoot! He seems angry. Did I do something?

"W- what? Did I say something wrong?" I begin to stutter as I think of all the reasons as to why Sammy might be angry at me.

It's as if he noticed my face filled with worry and answers me with a chuckle,  "You said 'thanks' as in the word that's forbidden for us to say."

What? That's it? If he continued the joke even a minute longer, I think I would have had a panic attack. "You dummy, don't scare me like that. But yea, you are right. It's a forbidden word between us." I tell him as a I sigh in relief.

"Yup. Now let's eat before it gets too cold. " he tells me in such a tone as if our parenst haven't been providing him with food for months.

But nevertheless I chuckle and agree with him. I pick my knife and fork and dig in.

No sooner had we started, all the pancakes had been devoured by us.

We are both full and tired now. I lay on our floor. Sam also lays besides me, careful not to lay on my hair.

It was silent for awhile. I close my eyes. I needed this silence for some reason. I would have fallen asleep if Sammy didn't speak those words. The words I least expected from him.

"Did you really take drugs?" I stare at him and flash him a hurted look. It feels suffocating now. I slowly get up and go downstairs. Anywhere away from him.

I head towards the kitchen and see that the dishes aren't washed. I decide to wash them.

After awhile, Sam tells me that he is heading out and might be back at 4 or 5. He asked me if I was okay with the plan or not. Honestly, I didn't mind. So, I just nod.

I hear the door close. I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding for so long.

I slid down and put my face in my palms. "I guess even Sammy doesn't trust me..." I murmur quietly.

I get up. And see the time. 10 am. I guess I could go to the art club. It's Saturday so it's closed today. But I can still go and complete the art works, I guess.

I go upstairs and grab my phone, spare keys and my art materials. After closing all the windows and doors, I head out.

The weather isn't too hot or too cold today. That's great. Just how I prefer it.

I reach the bus stand and sit on the benches as I am waiting for the bus. As I am waiting, I see some elderly women coming. I see that there aren't enough seats for them. I get up and offer them my seat.

They smile at me and thank me. I smile back. Helping others and seeing them smile really does calm me down.

The bus soon comes. After helping those elderly women, I hop on and give my greetings to the driver and sit at the back.

As the bus starts again, I view the scenery and at one point, I begin to wonder whether all these is actually worth it or not. I sigh knowing that I won't ever get to know that.

I soon reach my destination and after paying the bus driver, I hop off. I enter the art club.

"Oh hey, Samantha." Sarah asks me as soon I enter the club. Sara is the receptionist here. She is a sweet African lady in her mid thirties.

"Oh hey, Sarah. How are you?" I ask her as I am gathering some extra stuff from the cabin.

"I am great. I guess some drama happened at your house for you to come to the art club." After hearing this, I nod and give her a weak smile.

"Well honey, don't woryy. You can stay here as long as you want." She tells me. Her brown orbs staring right at my green ones.

"Thanks, Sarah." I flash her a smile and enter the art room.

I slowly take out the rumoured "drug" and all the other necessary materials and begin working on my piece. It's actually a drawing I am making for my mom and dad's anniversary.

After approximately two hours and thirty minutes, I finish the drawing. I am quite satisfied with the drawing actually. Hopefully, mom and dad will like it too. I leave it in an open space to dry off.

I see that some silver dust are left. So I take out my fashion design book. And begin using the silver dust for it. I am so concentrated in the drawing that I didn't notice someone come in and sit beside me.

It took me roughly 1 hour to complete the entire master piece.

"Finally, I am done!" I exclaim with joy. I look at the design and feel proud of my work.

"Mhmm, not bad. Infact, quite good. Didn't expect you to be this good though." A rough voice me causes me to pause. What? I thought I was alone.

I turn around slightly and notice someone sitting beside me. How long has he been here? But wait isn't that... No, no. My surprise is ruined. It can't be. He was supposed to be out.

But it's those same blue eyes and blonde hair.

I gulp and stare at him for a while. Before I clear my voice and give him the best smile I can and say, "Hey."
