Chapter 2: Trinity

I stopped as soon as I heard her call out my name.

I turned around and saw an extremely pretty face with long wavy blonde hair and a pair of unfathomable red and blue heterochromia eyes that reminded me of fire and water.

She was wearing a crop top and black leggings that tightly hugged her alluring figure, but they were riddled with dirt stains and small rips.

As soon as I turned around and met her gaze she froze.

"Do I have something on my face?" I asked

She blushed as she realized what she was doing and said

"No, I was just surprised by seeing you again."

'huh?' I thought

"You are..." I said like I knew her name

"Trinity" She helped me out

"Ah, yes Trinity, since you know who I am, do you mind telling me? I lost a fair bit of my memories."

"Me too!" Trinity blurted out but then covered her mouth cutely.

"Sorry"

"It's fine," I said with a smile as I thought

'go on, is this girl charmed already?'

I honestly don't even remember what I look like.

"You..you are Kai, 19 years old this year, Katarina's older brother, the young master of the Hydra Family, and extremely ho-."

Trinity looked up at the sky and said as she recalled her memories of me, but stopped herself as she knew she almost said more than she should have.

I knitted my eyebrows as I tried to remember

"Hydra Family? Nothing comes to mind" I sighed at my predicament.

Trinity looked at me with a tender expression as she could only imagine how hard it would be to lose the memory of your family.

"You were always away from home and when you finally came back, a bunch of us decided to go on a trip to visit a new place called the Garden of the Gods, it was supposed to be paradise, but our plane crashed and now we ended up in the middle of nowhere."

Trinity complained as she looked around

"Well, at least this place looks similar to a paradise," I said as we slowly inhaled the stuffy and warm air and looked around.

Trinity subconsciously nodded, it was very beautiful here.

"What should we do?" Trinity looked toward me and asked

I could see the worry in her eyes, she must have been terrified at the thought of being alone in this deserted island. She definitely needs a strong arm to hold her up and tell her everything will be alright.

I put on a thoughtful expression and said

"You said I have a sister right, who else came with us on the plane?"

"A lot of the junior's from the four families and some parents."

Trinity softly answered, but soon sported a painful expression

"I can't remember all the names and information of the families...sorry."

'Again with the apologizing? Is she always this submissive?' I thought

"It's fine," I said again as I stared into her fiery red and deep blue eyes, we only made eye contact for a few seconds before she looked away.

I looked around and said

"The first thing we should do is look for other survivors, hopefully finding a source of clean water and edible food on the way"

Trinity nodded in acceptance, her heart thumping as we walked across the dense undergrowth and tall trees.

*****

If I had one wish at this moment, it would be a bottle of ice-cold water.

It was currently summertime, probably the hottest day on record.

The scorching sun and extremely humid atmosphere completely sapped any water out of our bodies.

We were sweating and panting after walking for hours, ultimately finding nothing to eat or drink.

We couldn't even find the birds from the bird calls we heard from before.

Droplets of sweat trickled down Trinity's soft and smooth fair skin, her white-colored crop top was now almost fully wet, putting her all-natural perky twin rabbits on full display, only covered by a bra.

She had also rolled her leggings up.

I had long ditched my shirt, I could feel the scorching sun beaming from above and heating my skin, the tall trees provided decent shade, but the weather was too hot for it to matter.

"Hey" I called out, my mouth feeling dry

Trinity's lips were chapped, I could tell she was getting dizzy from the dehydration. It was very possible for us to die if we didn't find any water within a few days.

"How about we take a break?" I said and we sat down under the largest tree that provided the most cover in the surroundings.

It was eerily silent.

Trinity stared ahead as she hugged her knees in a fetal position.

*sob*

I could hear sobbing noises like someone was holding back their tears.

It must be hard for anyone to experience the painful memory loss and frightening experience like surviving a plane crash.

Only to find yourself woken up in the middle of a desert island, never knowing if you'd be able to return home.

Our phones were broken, we didn't even know if you could get a signal from here or how many of us survived.

I'm surprised she lasted this long without venting out her emotions, I could only thank my luck for being paired with an 18-year-old girl who wasn't annoying.

I looked toward Trinity who was huddled up next to me and put my arm around her.

She fully let go after I did that and started bawling her eyes out as she rested her head onto my shoulders.

Tears traced down her cheeks to my bare chest as I joked to ease up the atmosphere

"Well at least we know you aren't fully dehydrated, you have more than enough tears for the both of us."

Trinity laughed and wiped her eyes as she realized crying was one of the dumbest things she could do.

"Sorry," she said again while removing her head from my shoulder.

"It's fine, everything will be fine," I said with the utmost confidence as I caressed her shoulder in comfort.

Trinity took a deep breath to calm herself and looked up at me, those beautiful ruby and sapphire eyes meeting mine once more.

I could feel the sexual tension at this moment.

She was looking for reassurance, I knew about her little crush on me when we met, and if it was just the two of us on the island she wanted to make sure that we would protect and care for each other, or she just wanted to take her mind off everything.

I slowly moved my head toward hers...
