Chapter 2: The Office
As Moon and Night enter the office, they find that a girl is waiting for them. "Hi there! My name is Synthia! Are you the new kids?" Synthia exclaims as she spots them.
"Yes we are," Night says quickly, " I'm Night and this is my sister Moon."
"Oh good! Here are your schedules and a map of the school. First period starts at 9, lunch is at 11:30 and school ends at 4." Synthia says as she hands them their schedules and maps. They hear the office door opening and turn around. A tall, dark haired boy walks in. Moon and Night imediatly notice his skull alpha mark. The alpha.
"Hello Synthia, and who are these two?" The boy says as he walks past them to behind the office desk.
"O-oh. These two are the new kids, Alpha." Synthia stammers as she quickly bows in his direction. "Names?" He asks without looking up. "The boy is Night and the girl is Moon sir." Synthia starts backing away subtly.
"I see. Well, first period is starting soon. Get to class all of you. And I expect TOTAL obedience." The boy says as he exits the office.
"What is his name?" Night asks.
"Alpha's name is Oren." Synthia replies.
"Why is he so condescending to everyone?" Night asks.
"We shouldn't speak badly about Oren, Night. He is the most powerful alpha male in history." Synthia says as she returns to the desk. The bell rings. "Alright, we should get to class you guys. What class do you have first?"
"I have science and Moon has math." Night responds. Ask her which class Oren has first, Moon thinks. Why?? Night thinks back. I need to avoid him to keep my mark secret dummy. Moon replies. Oh okay, and don't call me dummy, Night thinks. No promises brother.
"Hey Synthia, what class does Oren have first?" Night says.
"He has math, same class as you Moon." Synthia says as she walks out of the office. "Get to class you guys."
Great. Just great. Moon thinks as they start walking to class. You'll live. And your gonna have to reveal your mark soon anyways. My class is that way, see ya at lunch. Night thinks back as he walks in the other direction. Moon finds her class. Well here I go, into torture. Moon thinks as she enters the classroom.
