Chapter 168: Doubts

When they got home, Marcus invited Aila for dinner, but she said she's still full. Marcus knew she was still upset with him, so he left Aila in their room. 

He went downstairs to prepare food for her. Marcus recalled when they were in college her chef said Aila's comfort food was the special mac and cheese. And he memorized the recipe by heart. Aila's chef must be proud of him.

He chuckled as he thought of it. Marcus can only hope that the space he gave Aila as he went down would be enough for her to let off some steam.

While he was cooking, Aila's chef approached him and wanted to take over. It is rare for the Royal family to cook for themselves.

"Chef, do you remember when you cooked this for the Princess, when we were in community immersion?"

Marcus asked Aila's chef, as he was preparing Aila's comfort food. The chef chuckled as he remembers it vividly.
