Chapter 10: Choose one
I was with Andrea, I explain what really happened yesterday and why Sam and I were together.
"I understand Dreb, no need to explain" Andrea smile and left him. Andrea go to the restroom and fix herself before going to the canteen.
She leaves the bathroom as she saw Dreb's coming. He was staring at her, Andrea looked away and start to walk.
"are you avoiding me?" Dreb asked Andrea but she didn't answer it. She stare at him and looked away afterwards.
They go to the canteen together with Aly and Davis. They have their recess together. It was kind of fun until Dreb got a call from an unknown number. He answer it and shock what he heard.
He hurry to run and drive his car as fast as he could.
The three of them were confused about the actions of Dreb. They stare to each other and start thinking where could he be?
"Dreb, thank you for coming. I really need your help. It's about Sam" Sam's mom said that and they go upstairs. They knocked on the door but Sam didn't answer. They forced to open the door and they saw Sam's body hanging. Sam committed suicide.
They brought her to the hospital and take her to the OR. It's almost three hours but no one is coming out on the
OPERATING ROOM.
"I couldn't loose her, we couldn't loose her" Sam's mom cried as she looked on the door outside the OR.
"What happened to her Dreb?" she asked Dreb and Dreb tell what happened to her. Sam's mom was crying until the doctor came out in the OR.
"Is she okay doc?"
"she's in comma, but it's an advantage that you take her early to make sure for her to survive." the doctor leaves them. Sam brought to her room and her mom and Dreb follow after.
"Dreb? I know I'm not on the position to say this. But, please help my daughter to live. Help her to forget what happened to her. Please" she begged Dreb, but Dreb regreted it. He knows it will hurt Andrea's feelings.
"I'm sorry Auntie, I have a girlfriend right now. And I can't afford to loose her and hurt her. I'm sorry"
Sam's mom kneel to Dreb, "Auntie please stand,"
"please Dreb, help us"
"I will think about it" Dreb leaves and called Andrea.
"Yes?"
"I have something to tell you. Let's meet up"
"okay"
The two of them were inside the car and Dreb started to tell Andrea.
"it's about Sam."
"What's about her? Again?"
"she committed suicide Andrea, and her mom want me to help them. She said I would help Sam to recover. She's in comma right now Andrea. And I don't know what to do if I do that, I will hurt your feelings. I can't do it"
"it's okay, I'm okay. You can help her to recover Dreb. Just to do it" a tears from her eyes fell.
"I'm sorry but don't forget that I love you" Dreb says it as he wiped the tears of Andrea.
Andrea just give him a smile then leaves. Andrea walked around, as she saw some cotton candy. She really loves cotton candies,. She buy some for herself and eat them on the streets.
She saw a bench and she sat on there. She didn't notice Dreb followed her. As she sat on the bench, a leaf fall from a tree towards her head. She get it and blown it away.
Dreb just staring her of what she's doing. Dreb wonder how could his life turn into this situation. He just can't accept the fact. That he might hurt Andrea's feelings.
He really loves Andrea but he can't let Sam not to get recovered. He wants to help Sam but he also want to make Andrea happy. Its a difficult desicion for Dreb to choose. He will choose only one.
Andrea continue to walk and Dreb left and go to the hospital. Andrea went home and lay to her bed. She was crying, she knows Dreb is having a hard time to make decisions but she got hurt.
She's hurt, and she's in pain. She called Chelsea and they went to a bar.
"What's wrong?" Chelsea asked her but she started to drink. After she drink one glass she started crying.
"you will okay. Just enjoy the night and let it out"
Andrea keep on crying and drinking, Dreb had no idea what Andrea's doing. He contacted Andrea but she's unreachable. Chelsea plan to make a call to Dreb but Andrea started to choke. She's so drunk. She can't even stand straight. Chelsea called Dreb to pick Andrea.
Dreb hurry to get Andrea, he arrived at the bar and saw Andrea choking on the floor. "what happened to her?"
"I don't know Dreb, I think she has problems. She called me and tell me to go here and that it, shes drinking and crying."
"Im gonna take care of her Chelsea, you can go home now"
"okay Dreb. You two, take care"
Dreb carry Andrea out to the bar and get inside the car. They were inside the car while Andrea spoke.
"I love Dreb very much Chelsea, I want him to be with me. I want him to be my boyfriend at least the last months before graduation." she started crying and Dreb wiped it out.
"I'm here" Andrea opened her eyes and saw Dreb were with her. "this is just a dream. A dream I want to come true. Having you here right beside me Dreb. I love you, finally I can say those words now"
Dreb leans toward her and kiss her. She opened her eyes and smiled. "I love you Dreb" Andrea fell asleep after saying that.
Dreb take her home, after taking Andrea home he went to the hospital to know the condition of Sam. He choose to help Sam but he didn't say he would forget about Andrea.
"she's awake Dreb. It's a miracle" Sam's mom said it and take Dreb to Sam's room. She's laying on the bed, she's weak and her lips was so pale.
"are you okay?" Dreb asked Sam, Sam saw Dreb and Sam slowly getting up to her bed and hugged Dreb.
"thank you for coming. Thank you for saving me"
"just take some rest for now"
"you won't leave me? Aren't you?"
"no. I'm going to stay here."
Sam closed her eyes and take her rest. Her mom and Dreb talked about something.
"Dreb, I know it's difficult to choose between Sam and your girlfriend. But thank you for coming here"
"I'm willing to help. For her to recover"
"thank you. I know your a good kid. Thank you so much"
AS morning came by, I was on the hospital and I go outside to buy some coffee. It's cold here and I think it's going to rain. I texted Andrea "good morning My Ms. Ugly face. Wake up. I love you"
While texting Andrea, it puts some smile on Dreb's face. He was happy not until he heard the rumors about a patient who was making a scene. Then he got text from Sam's mom.
"where are you? Sam's making a scene." Dreb run fast as much as he could to get there.
"where is he mom? Where's Dreb.? That man coming again mom. He's coming again to raped me. He's here mom" Sam's was traumatized about what happened to her in the hotel.
"I'm here Sam" Sam's saw Dreb and run towards him. She hugged Dreb while she was on tears. All peoples attention were on them.
They go back to their room and Sam calmed down while holding Dreb's hand.
Sam's didn't want to eat unless Dreb would fed her. Dreb had no choice but to bear with it. He wants to help Sam to recover. He was feeding Sam while someone opened the door and it was Andrea. She stared at them and all the things she brought it fell to the ground.
"I'm sorry," she picked it up as Dreb walk towards her.
"it's not what you thin-" Dreb didn't finished his sentence as Andrea speak.
"no, it's okay. I'm fine with it. I gotta go Dreb. Thank you for picking me up yesterday" Andrea left them with a teary eyes. Dreb wants to go after but Sam told her not to go anywhere.
Andrea drive her car as fast as a cheetah. She stopped her car on a park and started to shout. She was so hurt on what she see. She thought it was helping her to recover but they were really sweet. Andrea could not forget about it. She was crying and shouting all the time. She was in pain and no one could talk to. She want to be gone but someone is pulling her back. And telling her not to do it.
"are you okay miss?" a man's voice heard by Andrea. Andrea looked back and saw a man standing in the back.
"who are you?"
"I'm Jay, Jay Callix Mondragon."
Is it another love story to start? Or a love story to end.
