Chapter 40: Date
Dreb's POV
I can't believe that Andrea is still alive. I'm happy to see her but I'm sad to see her with another man.
I put all myself together and went to the bathroom. I looked at the mirror here in my bathroom as I noticed I'm having a pimples.
I was stress lately and I have so many things in my mind. I was just staring on my face when Lenna knocked the door.
"Dreb you okay?"
"yes, I'm okay don't worry" I turn on the shower and before that I face my face first.
I took off my clothes and went to the shower room. I closed my eyes and the water flows at my face, went to my body, and my feet.
When I close my eyes, I feel the water flow on my body. It was so relaxing, but suddenly I remembered Andrea. Yesterday she was like she's not in herself. She didn't know me and recognize me.
"maybe she had an amnesia?" I said to myself when putting my hands on my chin.
"Dreb? You finished?" Lenna was on the door and I hurriedly to finished having a bath.
I got my towel and went outside the bathroom. Lenna closed her eyes, she even cover her eyes with her hands.
"what are you doing?" I asked her and notice her knees were shaking.
"You're naked Dreb, I can't see those" she even smile a little bit. She continue to cover her eyes and I take it off. She slowly open her eyes and saw my body. She cover her eyes back but I pulled her towards me.
"What is it now?" she asked while her eyes were closed.
"Nothing, I just go change. Take a bath now" I laughed at her before I go to my closet to find some clothes.
I wear my black suit and black shoes. I was planning to have a date with Lenna today. I think she was thinking what she would be thinking about Andrea. I have to moved on but there's a part saying I missed Andrea and want to get her back.
I smiled at a small mirror in my room and started to put some perfumes on my suit.
Lenna was on her room and I think she was wearing her clothes. She didn't know what is my plan on this day. I just asked her to come with me on the mall.
She was outside her room, I looked at her and smiled. She was so simple liked Andrea. She's beautiful even without any make up on her face. Her genuine smile make her perfect. She's perfect for me and I don't think of hurting her but some part of me saying I still love Andrea. I just shook my head and noticed Lenna was looking at me.
"what are you thinking?"
"nothing, let's go" I got my car keys, I assisted Lenna to went inside the car.
I sat on the driver seat and start the engine. I looked at her before I start to drive. She just smiled at me, I hold her hands while I was driving.
I know she's a good woman and kind. But I can't think of hurting her. I can't hurt her, she's so lovely and good to me. Right now, I know I can't loose her.
We're here outside the mall when the staff and guards come towards us. They assisted Lenna to went outside the car. I went outside the car and let the guard to park it.
We are here inside and Lenna was looking around. She sway her hands while walking. I think she feels uncomfortable about this. I looked at her and in her hands.
All my employees were looking at us and Lenna feel awkward about it. She just hold her handbag and looked down.
I smiled and grabbed her hands, she looked at me shokcly and smiled. "are you feeling shy?" I asked her while whispering in her ears.
"yes" she whispered back at me. I laughed at her and continue to hold her hands.
Were here on a ice cream stall. I let Lenna to sit first for me to grabbed the roses I prepared for her.
I was on my way to get my roses when I saw Andrea and she was with her boyfriend. We met our eyes but she looked away. She was holding the man's hand. I continue to walked and get my roses.
I got back to the ice cream stalk where Lenna is. She is just sitting in a corner while holding her phone. She was just scrolling on her fb and I walked towards her. Some people looked at me especially my employees.
"woohh" the crowd were shouting as I walked towards Lenna. Lenna turned her back and saw me. She was shocked and it looks like she was about to cry.
"flowers for you my love" I said and her eyes widened and a tear fell out.
"thank you," she said and hugged me.
It put a wide smile on my face. People are shouting on us and taking some photos. "thank you for everything Lenna"
"don't say that. It makes me cry so much" she was crying but laughing also.
The people are smiling and laughed. They were also crying to see Lenna cried.
I hugged her back and went to a restaurant to have some lunch.
We are having our lunch when suddenly I saw Andrea and Xander? He's Andrea's boyfriend? I know Xander because we met on the hotel. So that girl with him is Andrea? Ouh I see that's the reason she looks familiar then.
Andrea looked at my direction but looked away. Lenna was eating her meal when she noticed I was not eating.
"Dreb? You okay?" I turned my attention to her and saw her like she's worried.
"uhm yes, I'm good" I continue to eat but I can't take my eyes on Andrea. She looks happy with Xander and that hurts. Seeing her happy with another man. I wish I was Xander.
I drop my knife in the floor, Lenna looked at me confused. The waiter take the knife on the floor.
"I'm sorry" I said to the waiter but he said it's okay. Andrea looked at me and I stared at her. She looks back and face Xander.
Xander looked at me in a very serious and strange look. He was making me feel angry. I turned back on my, food and continue to eat.
We're finished eating, Lenna said she will go to the bathroom. I waited for her outside the restaurant. While waiting for Lenna, Andrea went outside but she's alone. I think Xander went to the bathroom too.
I looked at her and she didn't looked at me. She wear her sunglasses and looked around the mall. I was about to walked towards her when Xander came.
"come on?" he said to Andrea and hold her hands. They walked away and I looked down.
I feel sad but Lenna patted my shoulders. "you'll be fine" she said while smiling.
"thank you for making me feel happy Lenna"
"you're welcome"
We go to the parking area and went inside the car. I know she feels awkward but she continue to smile. I know she might be hurt but she choose to smile.
I started the engine and start driving. While driving, Lenna was looking around in the cars window. She looks amazed on the huge building here in Manila. She was looking while I slowly grabbed her hands and hold it.
She looked at me "What's going on here?"
"I don't know, I just want to hold your hands" I smiled at her and continue to drive.
We arrive at my house, we got off the car and went inside the house. I sat down on the sofa in the living room and turn on the TV.
It's 3pm and Lenna told me she wants to go to a park. I was a bit tired but I company here to go to the park.
We are here in the park and slowing were walking. The air is so freshed and the water in the river is as clean as the mineral water.
Lenna sat on a bench and breath some fresh air. She look around and smile. She was happy and I'm happy to see her happy.
I was staring at her and took my phone. I started to take some photos of her. I'm now ready to let go Andrea and our past. I'm now ready to put the past behind and be happy with Lenna.
Lenna was always be there for me in my worst time. She's always there efor me and she makes me always to be positive and be happy in life. I think I found my better half with her.
Andrea is now happy with Xander and I will be also happy with Lenna. I can't let Lenna be hurt. I wanna try to have a relationship with her and I want to moved on.
I will moved on by loving someone else. I can forget all the bad memories in our past. I will let them behind me and start a making some new memories with Lenna.
I looked at her and walked towards her. I sat down and kissed her.
"I love you"
