I let out an exasperated sigh and kept staring at the ceiling as I heard something shatter downstairs again. An infected was making a ruckus downstairs. The noise it was making was what woke me up and it had been doing it for a while now. I wasn't worried about the noise drawing attention because the small town I was in was empty. I just wanted my peace and quiet back.

Something else shattered and I let out a groan before I roll out of bed. Where did it even come from? I searched the town, which had only ten houses and one shop, before I chose to stay in this house. I didn't find any infected during my search.

'Does it want to bring the house down?' I gritted my teeth when another thing shattered and grabbed the crowbar on the nightstand, slip on the slides that was next to my backpack on the floor before I tip-toed out of the room.
