Chapter 2: Chapter 1 " I'm not heartless I just know how to mind my own business."

Lydia's POV

I am sleeping peacefully in my desk, like I do every subject, every day. Just as I was happily wandering through Dreamland, I felt something hit my head, hard. I swear, whoever hit my head is brave, I mean really brave, and for his/her bravery, he deserves a knuckle sandwich.

"Who the hell dares to disturb my nap?!"

I shouted.

Not to brag but most of the people in this school doesn't dare to go against me, even the teachers, the only people that will dare to cross me are the principal and my best buddy.

I looked up and saw my best friend, Jackson.

He was smiling at me sheepishly.

"Wakey, wakey, Miss Sleeping Beauty. You had slept from the first period till now."

He said to me in a teasing tone. He is the only friend I've made in my sixteen years of living. Everyone says that I'm someone who doesn't care for anybody. That isn't true 'cause, I do care about Jackson.

"What time is it?"

I asked him. I was always like this in school, I sleep from the first subject till lunchtime, but I didn't hear the bell ring yet, so I don't know what time it is.

" Dummy,"

Jackson smacked my head. Seriously, if it wasn't Jackson, their arms would be broken by now.

"It's already lunchtime, you were probably too deep asleep to even hear the bell."

That is strange, I usually have great hearing, and the bell is really loud, so I could hear whenever the bell rings. I didn't think too much about it and followed Jackson out of the classroom.

Jackson's POV

I'm in class right now waiting anxiously for the bell to ring. I don't want to be in this boring class. The math teacher keeps on saying stuff I don't understand. I looked behind and saw Lydia sleeping peacefully, and I also saw a drool coming out of her mouth. This is how I spend every math lessons, everyday, watching Lydia as she sleeps.

Finally, the bell rung and the boring math lesson is over. I averted my gaze from Lydia because she usually wakes up at this hour. After a few minutes she still didn't wake up, which is unusual, so I decided to wake her up.

[Author: You mean hit her head, idiot!]

I heard her shout at me for waking her up, she is like this, doesn't care about anything but sleeping.

When were on our way to the cafeteria we saw a five big guys beating up another student, in an inconspicuous area around our school. I wanted to help the poor guy.

[Author: You mean you wanted to pick a fight with others on the pretense of helping a bullied person.]

( ̄ヘ ̄)

But I didn't have enough confidence to fight other guys while protecting another person. If it was only me I could beat them up, no problem, but if I was trying to protect someone, it'd be harder.

Lydia's POV

While Jackson and I was chatting our way to the cafeteria we saw a guy getting ganged up on by five gorillas. I didn't really care about it, but the person behind me does. I don't know why he is so

enthusiastic about fighting though.

I saw him look at me with puppy eyes, and I knew immediately what he was thinking.

"Oh Hell No! I don't want to get caught up in other's fight."

I can't believe he wanted me to give him a hand in this. Out of all people he knows me best. If it's not my business, I keep out of it.

"Come on Liddie, pleeeaaase."

I know him best, he only calls me Liddie if he wants me to help him, and he looks really cute right now, but no, I already got caught in his trouble last time and I won't make that mistake again.

"It's none of my business Jackson. If you want to help that guy, do it yourself."

I said to him as I continued to head for the cafeteria.

"Come on, Lydia! You can't be so heartless as to ignore that guy."

I heard him say to me. This is a first, all people may say that I am heartless, but this is the first time I heard it from Jackson. I headed back to his spot and took off my jacket.

"This is the last time I'm doing this,"

I said to him as I handed him my Jacket, I saw him beam a smile at me.

"And I'm not heartless, I just mind my own business." I added before heading to the gorillas.
