Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.
-Vincent Van Gogh
"You're awake." He said to me, admiring my tail. I looked down to see he had a tail too, but it was a blood red tail instead of a gray one like mine. "What did you do to me?" I said with curiosity feeling more tears down my face.
I touched them and they were gray tears, it reminded me of the void that I felt or was feeling, what is wrong with me? All my emotions were swirling but it seemed the longer I lingered in the ocean the more my emotions started to fade away.
"What are we doing?" I asked as he looked out into the misty distance and then back at me. "We're here so you can rest, Lillily you endured way too many pains from your past, so I felt like you deserve a new life."
"Is that why you didn't drown me like normal Sirens usually do?" I asked as he nodded in response. "I feel like you didn't need to be killed like the others did." The guy Siren's eyes glowed red and he looked toward me with a smile.
"Do you feel free Lillily?" I looked toward him in curiosity at how he knew my name and I nodded, "I'm going to take a swim, test out my tail."
He smiled at my words and grabbed my hand, "Well, let's go. The water seems warm today and I think it is really wise that you want to test out your new skills. Lili."
I didn't question how many people he killed or how he knew my name or where he was taking me but, I was excited about the Journey and the new life ahead.
That I would take, forgetting my horrible past and all that came with it. I'm glad I got a second chance because I never thought that I would get another shot at living a life without pain.
