Chapter 195: Longinus' Steps

Bruburu, Bruburu.

Soon, Sengoku answered the call.

"Hello, this is Sengoku here." Den Den Mushi came to life and projected that froggy glasses of Sengoku as well.

"I am Longinus, Admiral Sengoku, and I have a very important matter to report to you alone."

"A separate report? It's also good ..." the voice on the other end of the phone was suddenly distracted, and Longinus could faintly hear Sengoku's roar, "Get the hell out of here, you bastard!"

"I didn't want this to happen, haha!" Garp's somewhat recognizable loud voice came out of Den Den Mushi, " I have to go back to the East Blue anyway, so remember to help me out on the government side!"

"Get out! Wouldn't you go to Fleet Admiral for such things?"

"Who called you much more reliable than Fleet Admiral! So, just be a little more sympathetic to my troubles as a new grandfather, although you, a guy who doesn't even have a wife, certainly don't feel the pain! Ahahahaha!"

Bang!

There's the sound of the door being closed.

A short while later, silence finally returned to Den Den Mushi.

"Bastards, one or two of them won't let me save my life!" Sengoku whispered, then rejoined the phone, "Ahem, tell me, what do you have to report to me alone?"

"Just now, I killed another king."

"Oh, you've killed another country ... pfft!" Sengoku, who was drinking tea to cool off, like a whale spouting water, tilted his head up and sprayed a jet of water into the air, repeatedly coughing, "You're not addicted to killing kings, are you? Even if there really was a situation like last time, it should at least be filed with the headquarters and the government!"

Sengoku was even drumming in his heart; this seedling he had favored was not being led astray by Garp, was he?

"I'm sorry, Admiral Sengoku, but things are urgent and I can't afford to worry too much."

Considering that Longinus was indeed usually steady and reliable in his work, Sengoku calmed down and asked, "What's going on?"

"The King of Sentasia on the Sandy Island covets Poneglyph and attempts to revive ancient weapons, in order to avoid ..."

"Wait, wait ..." interrupted Sengoku, "Did I hear that right? You mean there's info on Poneglyph and ancient weapons on Sandy Island?"

Upon hearing such a thing, Sengoku just felt his head spin.

"Indeed." Longinus' calm voice came out of the microphone, "I do not know where King Sentasia got his information, but it is information that I have confirmed with King Alabasta."

"In order to stop the ambitions of the King of Sentasia, I will have to knock on his door and kill him."

"Alabasta? No wonder there are often CP organizations from the government in that vicinity, they already knew ..." Sengoku whispered, then pulled up his voice and said thoughtfully, "You handled this matter very well, but I don't want to get too involved in matters involving ancient weapons. Longinus, I'll transfer Gorosei for you, and they'll be the ones to talk to you personally about the rest!"

"The pinnacle of world power? Then it will be troublesome for Admiral Sengoku."

"You don't have to worry too much, judging from the fact that you weren't disciplined last time, Gorosei should be quite impressed with you."

Longinus was well aware that the World Government could do such a thing as extermination to guard the secrets of ancient weapons.

And quite proficient.

But he's different.

Now he was no longer the kind of ant that could squeeze to death at the drop of a hat.

Not to mention his formidable strength, the network of contacts he had built up in the Marine alone was enough to make the World Government consider the pros and cons.

The Marine Corps can't protect a man like Dragon, who has made a terrible mistake, but if he's wanted for murder even though he's doing his job for the government, then the government is going to break with the Marine Corps.

So what do we do if the hard one doesn't work?

The answer, of course, is, come soft.

"Hello, hello, Commodore Longinus?" A slightly older voice came out of the microphone.

"Yes I am, Gorosei-sama."

"Although things have been roughly explained to us from Sengoku, we would like to hear you state them again in person."

"It's like this. The King of Sentasia was the one who stole the king's authority six months ago with the ability to use the Mythical Type Neko Neko no Mi, Model: Cat Sìth. And in doing so took control of the entire population of Sentasia and the government officials who came to investigate ..."

"Cat fruit again!"

"Stealing authority!"

The slightly surprised voice of Gorosei came from Den Den Mushi, showing that government intelligence wasn't everything, mostly when the people who passed them the information were under control.

"Commodore Longinus, please continue."

"In the six months since he became king, King Sentasia has instigated dozens of major wars, and the countries he defeated never left half of them alive. Although he always produced evidence of 'forced to fight back' after the fact, there were too many weird things revealed in this matter."

"After my probing and analysis, I discovered that he had been searching for some kind of information, and for that information, he went so far as to silence all those places he had searched, and finally, he targeted Alabasta."

"Alabasta?"

"And how much do you, Commodore Longinus, know about that information?"

"Know some, though not much, but enough to make the decision to kill the King of Sentasia."

"Oh, Commodore Longinus is truly worthy of the Marine's elite, the future of the government, with an awareness of right and wrong that surpasses too many others."

"Gorosei are overpraised."

"Commodore Longinus, does anyone else know about this?"

"The King of Sentasia's men should all know more or less what's going on, but they've had no chance to tell anyone else."

"How reliable, Commodore Longinus!"

"Gorosei-sama, there is one thing that I feel it is important to mention to you."

"Commodore Longinus, please."

"According to the information I've found out, this King of Sentasia seems to be from the North Blue, but I've spent some time in the North Blue and I've never heard of such a person."

"A strong man who has eaten the Mythical Type Neko Neko no Mi again, who is unknown in his own birthplace, and yet appears unexpectedly on the Sandy Island in the first half of the Grand Line, there may be some connection I do not know of."

"The North Blue?"

After a whisper, the voice on Den Den Mushi's side seemed to disappear suddenly, and Longinus didn't fret, just waited.

Half a dozen times.

The voice of one of Gorosei resumed, "Commodore Longinus, on behalf of the government, we thank you for your contribution in this incident, but let's leave the rest of the matter to the government side."

After a moment of silence, Longinus spoke up, "Since this is a government order, I will have no choice but to obey it unconditionally!"

Hearing Longinus say this, the severe voice on Den Den Mush's side lightened up again, "Haha! Commodore Longinus is truly a most excellent soldier!"

"I'll tell you what, we'll have the CP9s that are coming over to deliver with a dedicated Den Den Mushi, and in the future, the Commodore will be able to inform us directly of anything like that."

"And, you can use this Den Den Mushi to mobilize a portion of the range of government-owned forces."

"I get it!" The corners of Longinus's mouth turned up slightly, and it seemed that the Gorosei were more generous than he had thought, or more scrupulous of that kind of power than he had thought.
